Made it to about wave 11 before they got me.
Overall a good concept. I personally think it would have gone well with a MIDI soundtrack or something.
And I also agree with the pink patch + pink pathogen = hard to see.

I went through and played for a bit and I wanted to provide you with some feedback. The concept of the game is cool. The enemies are the same color as the path on the ground so it was hard to see the differences from afar. In terms of the enemies difficulty, I think that it would need to be a bit more challenging, The enemies for all the rounds I played through did not get past the first corner where they spawn from, I could just tap fire and kill them and the bigger enemies with 3 shots, but I could kill them pretty quick. I like the simplicity of the controls. I felt like shooting the items on the screen would be a cool concept though I didn't get to see the effects since the enemies couldn't make it there. When switching waves, you have the the noise, but for the first couple waves, I didn't understand I was on a new wave because I wasn't familiar with the audio queue. Once I saw it at the top left, then I took note of the changing waves. The main menu didn't have the title of the game or any kind of control guide. When first downloading the game, I didn't know what to expect until I got into the game, then I found out that it was just clicking. Time between rounds and some fade away text may help the clarity. Overall still fun in terms of game play (as long as you don't shoot upwards and kill them too fast). Great job, and I am being nit picky as well to provide some honest game dev to game dev feedback. No harshness, or rudeness intended.
Thank you for playing and taking the time to give feedback. I don't think that the title of the game is necessary in the start menu, since I think that the name is irrelevant, plus you already know what the game is called, since you downloaded it. I didn't think that adding a fading text saying "click the left mouse button to shoot" was necessary as that is pretty much the only mechanic of the game, but as the game progresses and becomes more complex I do see the need of such things. I agree with everything else, it needs more work. I appreciate your time.
Nice game, it was fun to play, and you could really improve this submission to make a complete game out of it, you could for exemple, add an option to create more turrets, or to upgrade the existing ones. Also, the death particles and fire effect were great!
Just beat the game! Pretty cool! I really like the toon shaded voxel-art style. The effects and animations are pretty awesome too. It was especially satisfying to destroy objects because of the particle effects! The worm's movement animation was particularly impressive. I did find the game too easy because the enemies moved down the path so slowly and the turret can shoot at a rate fast enough to prevent enemies from getting far from the spawning point; perhaps if the stronger enemies moved faster or if there were multiple enemy paths to watch out for, it could maybe address that problem. Also, I think music would have been a nice touch to the game as well. Overall though, this does have potential to be an awesome tower-defense game. :) Great work!
The game looks and sounds great! The effects were very cool, especially exploding barrels. I wish there were some upgrates for the turret. Overall it's a very nice entry!
Love the aesthetics and sounds, nice work there!
I think there is a major flaw in the level design: by shooting constantly upwards, there is no way the herd of pathogens will advance for the first 13-14 waves. This makes the game so easy that is boring. I'd consider putting a barrier there to avoid this "exploit".
Besides that, it's a solid entry, and I had a lot of fun playing it. Congrats!
The overall graphics, effects and the mood it sets is among the best for this jam. I actually played it for a while and have been entertained by it, and that's the most important thing imho. Looking forward to see the upcoming updates on this, maybe I'll be able to go over the 11th level then, I would have loved to have some powerup options in addition. Solid entry!
About wave 11 i got overwhelmed and inevitably got rekt. Would be cool if u could place more turrets or was able to upgrade the current one. Nothing more i can say really. Graphics are cool, audio is neat. Good job!
First of all, I love the artistic style, graphics and the overall mood: really spot-on!
I agree with others that it might be a bit too slow. My personal suggestion is to create a mechanic such that players get point for accuracy, so that keeping pressed the left button of the mouse is not incentivised: you get more points if you hit correctly! Another way might be to allow for more directions to let enemies come from.
I like a lot how it looks, but gameplay-wise it´s a bit too simple, you could speed it up and allow the player to place more turrets or something. Anyway, good job, I really dig how it looks!
Overall, a very presentable game! However I think the game is too slow. Add more turrets the player can control and it should be good to go :)
