Hey there! I streamed your game and reviewed it before the rating period ended. I enjoyed your game and I hope you had a fun experience!

Developer(+1)

thanks! Yeah definitely needs a modern-ish GPU. Runs pretty well on a ~4 year old i7 laptop with 1060 GPU. I ran out of time to submit before I could put in motion blur toggle and mouse sensitivity slider. Thanks for trying it out. Glad you found it funny. Your machine would have turned into molten lava if you made it to the final stage.  :) I would recommend upgrading your setup a bit before next year's jam. Lol.

Very fun!

I played on Linux using Wine and the mouse sensitivity is way too high and it is laggy so I couldn’t pass the bullet part (I read about the grenade spamming, but the bullets+crystals floating were already melting my PC, so I don’t think I can handle it haha).

Developer

It would be the utmost in Literality to break your system. But then I'd feel bad. Thanks for playing! That part does sound like a sticking point for some. Perhaps I should have allowed passing that stage a secondary way besides blowing up a certain number of glass floaty things.

Laughed out loud at this. Great humor! Nice concept

i became so powerful that by merely throwing things I was able to fly.  Very fun, graphics were excellent.  How do you know neil degrasse tyson? ;)

Funny game ! Sadly I was stuck at the "bullets" objective, I found bullets then shot them, then ran out of them and was stuck running around with not much to do.
That being said, the "literral" gimmick was funny + the randomness of having Neil Degrasse Tyson in there was cool and that punch was really satisying.

Developer

Something must be bugged with the ammo because you should have about 900,000 bullets, so pretty hard to run out. The deal there is that if you destroy enough of those flying targets that it'll proceed. But someone else got stuck there, too, so there must a glitch that I'm not sure how to pinpoint. I appreciate your comment about the punch - that was quite a bit of custom tweaking to get that to look, feel, and sound satisfying. Thanks for playing! :)  If you happen to want to try it again, hopefully you'll have enough bullets to kill enough targets to proceed past that point.

Developer

If you DO run out of bullets, try pressing R and it should force a reload. I think the bullets don't run out, but something with the cooldown is bugged and if you force a Reload, it resets that. Oopsie.

Developer (1 edit)

And if you make it past that stage, you get to experience the fun of grenade spamming, which may or may not melt your GPU.

Submitted(+1)

Oh cool, I gave it another try, it reloaded automatically 2-3 times then did the same thing again, but this time I knew I could press R to reload so I was able to continue. It was cool :)

Cool game but It is very laggy for me!!
I think you have found a RTX 3090 and played the game!!

;)

I have a laptop 1060 and it only lags when you're obliterating THE SYSTEM. That's where it'll Break your System, too. Thanks for playing and leaving helpful feedback!

that was cool but i wish the browser version worked but it looks noice and commentary is good but ps you can break out the map by going into a corner and walking and jumping at it constantly

Developer(+1)

I built for WebGL and it didn't detect any cursor movement. Didn't have time to figure it out, sorry. Plus even if that did work in WebGL, the physics in the last scene would surely not, as it has system-breaking mesh fragmentation. Thanks for letting me know about the corners, you rule-breaker. :P

Submitted(+1)

Is that broken enough for you?

And with 100% Literally, you meant you try to break my GPU by overheating it? xD But it looks very pretty though, especially the bubbles you have to shoot down.

This is such a dumb game, I love it. :P

Developer

Dumb is my specialty! Thanks so much for playing and your accurate comments. :)

I don't really understand why there even is an uploaded web-version when you so obviously don't want us to play web version or even isn't supporting it? For various reasons I filter away games not playable in browser at the moment and honestly, it's a bit annoying that it shows up if it's not meant to play in browser. ^^'

Would love to try it out, but sadly I can't. :(

Submitted(+1)

Then again, to be fair, this made it sort of worth playing it even in web 😂💙

Developer (1 edit)

I totally agree with you that it's annoying that I've tricked you into thinking there was a WebGL version of the game. I accepted that risk, and I labeled it as a Teaser for the game. Glad you at least liked Neil's voice acting. Thanks for playing that part. :)

I played the Windows version, and I love the corners and things and Neils, but I didn't quite like the mouse sensitivity, and the motion blur, which - combined with my blazing-fast Intel Celeron - made the game basically unplayable from the 2nd level. It looks fun tho....

Developer(+1)

ah, yes, graphics settings were set upon the fire heap of features that got burned by the deadline. I appreciate your feedback. The last level would've absolutely melted your Celeron into a molten slag, because it has literally thousands of rigidbodies with runtime mesh fragmentation. Shreds entry level GPUs. Breaks systems.

confusing

Hi there, I'd love to be of service. Did you perhaps play the WebGL version that wasn't meant to be played and was clearly labeled as such, or did you play the Windows version? If you had difficulties with the Windows version, I'd like to know, please. Thank you for your help!

I LITERALLY have no idea what to do after getting the bullets, shot everything and tried everything lol

Developer

Unless it's bugged, once you hit enough of the floating objects, it'll proceed. That's definitely a weak point of direction on my part. Thanks for playing and for leaving helpful feedback!

Developer

I guess it is bugged at that spot. But if you press R it will force a reload and you can continue.
