I never heard of Peggle before this. I still don't know what Peggle is. But I definitely had a lot of fun! Maybe you could add a scoring system to show how far you got?  Other than that, great!

Developer

Maybe in future versions there will be a road story mode, like in Slay the Spire for example, so progress would be much more visual. Thanks for suggestion and trying it out! ^-^

Very good game! I like the sounds

Very cool game! I really like the combination of this two genres. Sound effect of hitting the dots is very satisfying. Art style is simple but aesthetic. Overall great job :)

if you have a minute please check my game too :)

I like the combination of turn based and dexterity. I think the concept could be expanded upon with things like abilities. Like before shooting the ball you choose an ability, maybe "If exactly 2 pegs are hit, deal + 5 damage" or "If no peg is hit, deal 8 damage." A risk/reward system that builds upon the mechanic of dexterity
Definitely a solid entry, congrats !

Developer(+1)

That was exactly my idea, that you could pick a skill before shoot, and there would be different multiplers and effects. Sadly, I didn't manage to add this, because of time constraints. Thanks for playing and the comment! ^-^

Really cool idea! I love peggle.

One thing i thought though is that the peggle mechanic wasn't very satisfying, it seems like i could never get good combo's and the ball just went straight down.

It didn't help that the peggles we're all positioned in a straight vertical line.

But seriously, well done man!

Developer

I was concerned about it too, that ball might feel too heavy, and i had hard time tweaking values to make them kind of balanced, but I will fiddle with it some more to make it even more satisfactory.

Layout of pegs changes with equipment level, my idea was to change game play style depending on inventory, but it needs to be much more visual.

Thank you for comment and checking it out  ^-^

That sounds like a great idea!

I may have broken it. Overall great concept! I love the feel of the turn based combat mixed with the mini-game between attacks. The animation of the characters attacking is great, and the camera shake is a nice feature (though with this little bug it went a bit insane). Well done!

Submitted(+1)

Btw, this bug was found by shooting and landing a ball directly downwards. The peg disappears after some time, but then it will reappear and the ball will get stuck between two pegs.

Developer(+1)

I see, we had similar idea for game ^-^ Thanks for letting me know about this bug, I already fixed some of them, but i have to wait for voting to end, to update fixes, and I'm glad you liked it :3

Really cool idea ! Love the feedback and the artstyle, great job !

A very nice take on the Peggle game. The mix is really interesting ! The peggles on the sides are quite hard to get as the ball falls a bit fast. One last thing though, can we really call that a Peggle game if it has no Ode to Joy ?

Congrats :) !

Developer

Yeah, finishing off enemies is kinda lacking and should be much more exciting, and I couldn't find the sweet spot for physics ^-^ Thanks for playing and the comment!

Very creative, was quite interesting to play!

Great job!

Really cool idea with a nice amount of juice for its 1bit style :)

Submitted(+1)

It's fun to play and I love the idea! Also this simple monochrome style with small details of color is really pleasing and matches the theme! ✨

Submitted(+1)

Quite fun!

This is brilliant! The concept of peggle games and rpg roguelike mixing together! I could totally see this as a mobile game I would play in my spare time. And the simplicity of colors on black background is just perfect!

Developer(+1)

Maybe, one day, there will be a mobile version. Thanks for kind words!

love the idea and I also what does any of the chest do cause I can't seem to gain anything, also once I defeat an enemy with no stamina, I can't fire another one even though I restore my stamina so i was stuck on the chest, either way the art and animations are pretty good as well as the sound effects and ambient.

simple and fun game nice :D!

Developer

Chests give random bonus, stamina, crit chance, or change in your pegs layout, but in this version you can't see what you will get, so it's even more random. I'll add another bug to my long list of them then, thanks for telling me about it, and for trying it out :3

Gotta love peggle games lmao. Pretty fun game especially with how satisfying the sounds are. Somehow managed to get to 168 damage in one round. Great entry :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

I bet you scored many critical hits (purple pegs), which doubles current score. Thanks for playing and comment ^-^

I love both Peggle and roguelikes. This was a dream.

Cool game! I wish there was a guide line for the first bounce of shooting

Developer

I wanted to add it as power up from item, but no time, no items, no guide. Thanks for playing and comment!
