Can you actually kill the monster? I just stood at its side, spamming spacebar until I'd eventually get killed by some projectile. The visuals are good but the gameplay is generic and doesn't respect the limitation.

Pretty fun game! I like the visuals very much :) I think the limitation is more important than the theme, try to focus more on the limitation next time.

A large healthbar would of been nice, I felt like I was spamming spacebar so much just hearing slashing, not knowing if the boss had infinite health or not.

Amazing graphics. loved the gameplay. controls were a bit weird trying to dodge while controlling movement but i loved the signaling from the eye so i knew what attacks to expect! great job!

Amazing! First time I saw my game been played by a streamer!!!

Pretty fun game. Like everyone else said the restriction of everything following a rhythm wasn't implemented. I was able to play it and beat the game there were three distinct boss phases and they were awesome. The art was great and just a fun boss fight in general. For me the dash was very difficult to activate, since the only shift button that worked was right next to the WASD keys. My pinky just doesn't bend that way, my only suggestion would be that both shift keys can be used for the dash. Aside from that great game!

Nice presentation and graphics ! It's dynamic and easy to get into but I didn't know if I was hitting correctly the monster or not. I don't see the use of the limitation either. Cool game anyways !

Cool presentation and graphics, i really like this type of games. A health bar for the boss would be perfect, but good job.

Great art style, everything looked amazing. The soundtrack was also very nice. I wasnt a huge fan of some of the monsters sound effects, but thats all i can complain about for audio.
It would have been nice if there was a bit more than just a boss fight.
As others have mentioned i also dont see how the limitations was used.

cool game, with very impressive art for a game jam! The signs for the boss patterns are very clear, and the movement feels good with the dash.

Same as other, I have absolutely no idea of if I was beating the boss or not, and I couldn't understand what was the use of the limitation. I guess there was a misunderstanding between theme and limitation? Good job anyway, that's a nice game.

Thanks! We did start at the theme, we came up with several ideas, and we chose this because we like it.

I like the art and presentation of the game, pretty good boss fight overall, but you really have to add a boss health bar, it feels like you never make any progress. While its a cool game, it doesnt follow the limitation at all.

Thanks! About the theme, even though our game is not fit the theme, but we did start at the theme. We picture an eye in the sky could show what’s come next, and player can react by watch the eye signal. And after that we lean towards action game, so this game was born.

I really like the art style, sound, and movement used in this game.

They all work really well and look/sound great.

Unfortunately, this does not fit into the limitation, and also i was not sure what i was doing? there was no purpose to the game. I was dodging the attacks, and attacking the eye - but nothing happens? the eye had no health - it never dies? so there was no point.....

The boss does has health, but we didn’t show it, sorry about that.

If you willing to try again, it takes about 40 seconds to cause the boss to enter next stage.

I clicked it for a while, it came out of the wall. And i was clicking it more... But nothing looked like it was happening .

Oh…then I’m not sure about it. The boss meant to have 3 stage, each stage boss get more blood on his body, and attacks get more rapid. Sorry the game didn’t let you experienced it, I will upload a fixed version after the jam ended.
