Cute little dice thrower (this is going to be a new genre after this jam isnt it). Simplistic but totally adequate and consistent graphics. Gameplay feels really. Good Job.
Thats a good game pretty simple but fun. I wish there are some more attack or damage abilities maybe you can add in future. Graphics are very simple but suits very well for this game. I enjoyed while playing. Good work ^^
We really enjoyed playing through this on stream yesterday! Honestly, I shouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I did. I think part of the reason why it was so good is because of the smart level design. You didn't just plop a bunch of enemies in and call it a day, you designed explicit situational encounters with a touch of puzzling and a heap of hot action. Great work.
The die rolling effecting stats was a neat idea, but I largely tended to ignore it and stay focused on combat. I enjoyed it being there though - it was cool to look at it after an encounter and be like, DANG how is my throw stat so high?
Great job on this! With some more art polish and ironing out a little of the mechanical jank (picking up the dice after you throw it in front of you with a low throw stat) it would be a reaaaally great experience. Though I did become quite enamored by some of the jank by the end, I bet a few people on here would get pretty confused if they didnt have someone in chat walking them through some of the more puzzling parts.
I enjoyed this game!
Having different effects depending on what your dice rolls on is pretty fun, also given that you changed them up per level. It took me a while though to realize that constantly throwing your die is the best strategy, instead of waiting and doing precise throws : D
The Overheal mechanic was a bit odd, since you become so fast that eventually you just run into stuff. And the last stage needs some tweaking obviously, though I almost made it yesterday. So not too much tweaking, but just a little bit : D
Overall cool game that I'll replay today definitely.
Loved the game. It was fun! I like how to taught the mechanics.
The concept was actually really cool! The presentation could be improved on, but overall it's a great game!
This was charming and I had a lot of fun with just the basic gameplay, even if the diceroll outcomes weren't that clear while running and shooting
I found it creative and fun, I liked your idea
good work!
if you can, check out my game too, I would love your feedback
In some way it have similarities with my game, on the other hand it has its own unique play style and mechanics, awesome work buddy!
Awesome work, really enjoyed playing this one, and I like that you teach the player how to play in the game rather than a separate 'how to play' page.
Obviously graphics arent there, but it felt clear enough which number did what
Pretty nice concept!
What I liked?
- Throwing the dice was quite satisfying
- The constant changing stats at each throw gives a feeling of a double-edged sword, which is interesting in term of design
Other comments:
- The graphic style is a bit rough, but it does the job
- Sometimes I felt that my throw was a bit imprecise
Overall nice job!
Thanks! The reason the throwing isnt too accurate is probably because i add a lot of spin to the dice so you cant get same results apart from num. 1 so when it bounces it goes a bit weird and because the character isnt really aiming at the cursor perfectly; it acts as if it was on a 2d plane and was aiming at the cursor and then it aplies it to the 3d character. Now I realise that it couldve been easly fixed by shooting a raycast where the player points and aiming the character towards the collision point.
The game is great, and I'm sad I couldn't make it past level two because my computer started struggling with the cursor. The thing that I didn't like was that I really didn't fully understand what each dice roll did, and the pictures beneath didn't help too much. Maybe explaining them in the tutorial could be a great idea for a future update?
Yeah explaining them would be good but as a temporary measure: on the right you got your stats, anytime you roll there apears a number with a letter on your character; the number indicates the change of the stat and the letter is the first letter of each stats name so for example: -4t would be you losing 4 points of your throwing strenght and 10h would give you 10 hit points. Sorry for making it so complicated and im glad you enjoyed it:)
Great job on this game! I enjoyed the core throwing mechanic a lot although I rarely waited around for the die results. I like the simple, readable graphics and the tank enemies. Having something more than a cylinder for the player along with some music would do a lot for the presentation for me. The added elements in the last two levels took me a while to figure out as well. Fantastic job on the game!
Very intresting game with a cool concept. I found it quite enjoyable to play but didn't manage to beat the last level. The art could be a bit more polished and some background music would've been good. Nice job!
It felt like the last level was kind of pushing it and looking at it now it would've been fine with just 4 levels. The reason it was so hard and generally bad is cause i made it like an hour before the deadline so i didnt have time to balance it or do anything at all. Thank's for checking it out and glad you enjoyed it, means a lot to me.
