Very aesthetically pleasing game! Interesting that you chose to implement randomness in varying degrees that each have a different level of impact on the experience.

the concept is very cool and i really like the aesthetic! i feel like you have way too little control over the player, but other than that, awesome job!

I like the sfx. In my opinion, rotating is too slow, and rotating in only one direction is a bit uncomfortable, but anyway good work!

The visuals are trippy and i love the TV effect. For me it was very difficult to rotate the player character, it feels too slow in my opinion. The random upgrades keep the game fresh though. Overall i think you did a solid submission. Good job.

Cool effect with the tv! I really liked it. It did seem a bit hard as I wasn't able to rotate to the right. The rotating also felt a tad slow.

Other than that, I like the game and with a bit of tweaking could turn into quite a cool project! Nice job!

I liked the TV aesthetic! Balancing the game more, like adding the ability to rotate both left and right, might help a bit with difficulty though!

Nice game! Very retro. And a fun interpretation of the theme. Awesome job!

Post-processing looks great for the vibe of this game! Once I read the controls (which I frankly don't do often enough), it was much more fun! I think there were a few ways to make its tie to the theme stronger other than RNG, but I can get behind it. Great job overall!

Lovely retro vibes!

Good Job, Like the game!

Controls feel weird and I believe enemies not doing any damage. Its nice we are playing in a tv it adds to the feel.

Solid game! Rotating towards the enemies was a little annoying in my opinion, it would've be nice if you could rotate in 2 different directions. The style was very good and I like the concept!

Hah I like the song, I like the slightly "clunky" controls, adds to the vibe. The randomness of difficulty etc plays well with the theme of the Jam! Well done my man! ;)

Fun game and I love the tv effect!

A very cool-looking game I really like the aesthetic. The controls were a bit challenging maybe having the player point towards the mouse would be a bit easier. Love the art and sounds though. Nice work!

Interesting game, the TV effect is cool!

I love the crt monitor aesthetic, I think the game would be more fun if you could turn around using the mouse instead of holding down space. Also, I don't know if it's a bug I found but some upgrades didn't disappear and I could get them repeatedly.

Good visuals, but the game is a bit glitchy tho. Still it's nice work, well done!

Submitted(+1)

I think the glitchiness was his point. In that light I think it works a bit better.

Yes true haha

Why oh why did you choose to bind the rotation to space? It made the game feel way too clunky for me. Otherwise the main idea is nice and the presentation is good. Good job!

It is a good game inside, but the movement was too slow, and R didn't work. I hope you improve next time :)
