Dear itch.io community!

Me and my brother just released a Demo of the our game we’ve been building with a lot of passion for quite some time now. We kind of escalated a very simple idea where you juggle a ball by hitting it repeatedly into a platforming/action/time-attack/rougelike where you have to hit the ball so that it reaches the top of a (more or less) randomly generated tower as fast as possible.

It was a wild ride until we were happy with both the gameplay and the visuals, but we finally feel confident to share our game with you! Honest feedback is welcome :)

P. S.: I love itch.io and the community so I implemented a feature that I (as the programmer) am especially proud of: A cross platform leaderboard where both Steam and itch players can compete and share ghost recordings of their runs! Can't wait to see your scores, whatever platform you prefer 🚀

This is easily one of the best entries for the entire jam! A unique idea, flawless implementation, great fun - I love it!

Felt like suprised Pikatchu when I fell off the edge while trying to setup an orbital laser for the first time :D

Love the idea and execution, really well done! It was just a little hard to press the buttons on the phone while moving, because the hand also moves a little accordingly (I am playing with a touchpad though).

I like the perspective and the camera, but there wasn't really much to do. I also felt like everything can be done without the rewind system. Still a little rough around the edges :)

At first I didn't understand what/who the enemies are that I am supposed to bomb, but once I understood that the game has a nice catch! I also like the risk/reward play of moving into the path of the enemies to be able to bomb them. Throwing bombs is really satisfying :)

Somehow my character was off the bottom of the screen, but once I found out I can jump back into the screen I really enjoyed the wall jumping! Good job!

Thank you so much for your feedback! I can understand your argument about the dark area. I personally also like how fast you can go in the other areas once you got a hang of the controls :)

Polished game, polished monsters!

Good idea and well exectued, just right for a jam. Good work!
P.S.: The UI scales funny on my ultra wide screen:

I absolutely loved how polished this game is! Everything works perfectly fine and the idea is cool too. For the 100 coins budgets it feld like there is not much I can "do", but once the budget increased it was interesting to think of the best possible combination of items (in addition to helping them survive I obviously wanted to empty their pocket as much as possible hehe).

We almost had the same idea! I how the players slowly approach from underneath the bar just to give you that derpy look :D

Has bush eating sound effects. 10/10!

Well done, perfect pick for the theme. I have one question though: Why do I not score when going underneath the wall? :D

Well done, I suck at it just as much as I suck at the original though :'D

Its not a new idea, but I still appreciate how well it fits the theme. Also its super fun, played it way longer than I expected. Nice job!

I really like the visuals! They remind me of Pentiment/Inkulinati :)
It also works like a charm. The tutorial is super helpful. I imagine the game to feel a little like Loop Hero if it was more fleshed out. Amazing job for the jam though!

I really like the idea - reminds me of loop hero to some degree :D
Sometimes it seemed like I spend more money than I expected to, event went into negative.

Its so cool to see how you approached basically the same idea! Compared to our game I feel like your game is waaay more streamlined so that I actually understand what to do (also thanks to the tutorial). I love how you actually have to hand out money - and it works so good! Enjoyed it a lot, even though the king is an a*hole ;D

Not half as terrible as me, Sir Gilleon beat me up real good. Didnt event get him to half HP :(
Fun fact: we basically had the same idea and then decided not to do it because we thought it will be too much work for the jam. You made it work. Alone. Awesome job!

Thank you so much for putting your time into our game! :)
I feel like its still a bit rough and hard to read, but if it made you laugh it was all worth the effort.

Never played swords and sandals but I can see why you got the impression :D

The best implementation of the idea. Period. Absolutely loved it. Amazing polish!

We literally had the same idea to start with haha!

I really like the idea and the implementation! I had some troubles with text readability though.

I really liked the hands on tutorial! Amazing work putting out a 3D game in just 48 hours :)

A unique idea and awesome presentation! This game got an amazingly smooth learning curve. The only problem I had was telling how fast the train was going. When I noticed it slowed down it was already kind of too late - but maybe I'm just bad :D

Overall a solid game for the short time given! Had some trouble with the probability graphs with my ultra wide monitor, but changing the resolution to 1920x1080 helped with that.

It really needs some instructions though. Maybe you can write them down on the game page? You are still allowed to change the page even after submissions are closed. However I think I figured it out after all ;D

And finally: the music is amazing!

Simple idea but very well implemented! The general polish on this game is amazing, absolutely enjoyed the music :)

Glad you liked it!

Very interesting idea! Loved how you broke the fourth wall and liked the humour :)

Very cute game! The dice rolls could go a little faster in my opinion (or maybe I'm just impatient).

Thank you for your kind comment! The tractor needs some time to get used to but with some practice you can actually be quite precise. See the cherries I did in one of the screenshots for example (not gonna hide how proud I am of the result).

Also I'm sure your shirts were pretty, don't let the giants judgment fool you. They turned out very critical :)

Happy to hear you had a good time! We may put in some more work after the jam has concluded, otherwise you can look forward to another entry next year!

Thank you for your feedback! Turned out to be a little to chaotic for most people. If we only had more time for testing... :'D

Thank you for the kind feedback! I'm glad you liked it :)

Now you've got me reading up all on Logos turtle, very interesting! I think you are not the only one who got a little stressed out with the painting, it certainly needs to be easier to some degree. Thank you for your feedback!

Thank you for playing! I agree that the tractor handling needs a little more refinement but it's ultimately supposed to be somewhat uneasy ;]

Glad your enjoyed it! We also thought about the Mario Party games when developing the idea :)

I am so sorry, I'm sure your t-shirts were lovely, but the giants turned out a little more critical than we intended to. Don't let them bring you down! :)
