Well done! I've been enjoying these different takes on the dungeon crawler I've been seeing in the jam. Yours is one of the most polished I've seen. It would definitely need some balancing and more monster variety if you continue to pursue it , but it's very impressive for the 48 hours given for the jam.

I really like the visuals! They remind me of Pentiment/Inkulinati :)
It also works like a charm. The tutorial is super helpful. I imagine the game to feel a little like Loop Hero if it was more fleshed out. Amazing job for the jam though!

A very nice idea! It lacks some mechanical depth, though. There’s no incentive to make things difficult for the hero, which would be a nice addition. As things are, you want to minimize the amount of health the hero loses, which makes the game less strategic than it could have been.

Still, this is very nice for only 48 hours. Good job!

Thanks for including a tutorial in the game itself (which is unfortunately often left out of these jam games). Seems pretty polished. I like the concept of the XP budget too, limiting how much stuff you can put down at a time. It's neat how this ends up playing out as a turn based sort of strategy game. I could see this fleshed out into a full puzzle roguelike, and it would be pretty cool. Great job!

I'd appreciate it if you check out my game too if you have a minute.

What a nice and cute little game! Short, but not buggy and can be completed. Thats a 5/5/5 from me!
