How does your game fit the theme?
It's like Snake, except you play as the Pellet. Additionally, the role of the snake as an enemy and friend are reversed, as not only is it a threat, but it is also your only defense against other enemies.

This is such a great example of a simple and obvious idea being pushed into something far beyond. Gameplay is challenging yet well balanced and the game is fun to play with tight controls. It is honestly impressive how well the elements work together considering how simple each one is. And good job with that snake AI, it actually does what you want it to.

If there are any future updates planned in my opinion separate stages or at least some form of checkpoints would be nice, whilst the "tutorial" is well done, replaying it does get a little old after the fifth time.

The game will be receiving a post-jam update allowing you to start at any level you've cleared. Hopefully that should help alleviate some of the slowness of the early levels. Thanks for your comment!

Love the bullet hell aspect! Also the snake AI is amazing.

Very well executed game! In my first gameplay I was just dodging, but once I read the game over tip and the description the game turned into something very different! The risk and reward of trying to use the snake to eat my enemies was a very fun twist and it got me going for risky plays. Nice looking art and cool music. Solid entry!

I had lots of fun playing this (probably will come back to play some more). The difficulty scaling (pun intended) is just right.

Well, I had to come back... Enjoyed the game too much and wanted to see what was at level 15. Hoping this is a world record run and can start my future career as a Pellet eSports player (okay maybe not).

Congrats! Thrilled to see that you liked the game enough to come back.

Although someone early in the comments claimed to have reached level 22, with no photographic proof, I think we can crown you as the rank #1 Pellet player for now.

Now that's what I'm talking about!

Very well-designed gameplay. I love how the snake serves many purposes in the game, whether as an enemy, a barricade, and even as a weapon you manipulate to control the chaos in the game field!

The pixel art is clean and simple and matches the game's concept really well too! Really nice game!

Cool idea. Definitely didn't expect it to be a bullet hell but it works well

Really amazing game. The choice of music is great. I left it on the main menu and was doing my work while listening to the game's music. Really nice usage of the theme. The pixel art is really crisp and the game is fascinatingly easy to understand. Really enjoyed playing this.

one of the best games on the jam I found so far

This was a lot of fun and got really chaotic with what felt to me a reasonable difficulty ramp. I enjoyed playing through a couple of times. The furthest I was able to get was level 14.

Very engaging, and with surprising depth in balancing  threats and using them against one another.
Amazing entry.

Great entry! Love how step-by-step there was a small ecosystem building app, adding some interesting risk/reward scenarios like standing close to an enemy in order to lead the snakes to them while still trying to avoid the enemies attacks. The player character also felt great to control as it was so fast and small, which helped with avoiding enemies and projectiles. One of my favorite games of the jam, well done!

Real good game. I like that the snake is both our enemy and our ally!

Great job.
