It is a really cool concept. Hope you can work it into something bigger. The level design was too obvious, there are definitely more possibilities out of this!!

How does your game fit the theme?
We decided to use colors to fit the theme. The idea is to blend colors together to create new ones and pass obstacles. In short, you have to "join" the colors together to succeed

Love the bass lick in the background. I wish I'd been able to move faster. The simple colored platforms i understood but i didn't understand the point of the ones with the colored backgrounds, like i think i could always land on those regardless of my color..? Not enough levels. it felt like there was potential if it got harder, but it just ended!
Thanks for the feedback !
That is exactly as Katelina77 said.
We have 2 possiblities to change colors :
The first one is the plaftorms with particles. When you stomp on them, you take the color of the platform.
Then, you also have some backgrounds that can be mixed with you. In that case, you add your color to the color of the background. For example, if you are green, and the background is red, you mix both colors and become yellow. You keep this color while the background is still behind you.
This is a highly original concept, and was chill to play.
Well done!
Wasn't really sure why I was changing color sometimes but cool little platformer :)
Thank you :)
You change color when you stomp on a platform with particles. In that case you take the color of the platform.
You also change color when there is a different color in the background. Then you take the color of the combination while you have the background is behind you. (For example if you are green, and the background is red, you add both color and you bcome yellow)
Creative concept! I struggled a bit with predicting the colour combinations but I suspect that problem would be erased with more levels added!
Thank for the feedback!
What we aimed in terms of level struture is having a tutorial phase with some puzzles after.
In this game, the first 2 levels are tutorials. The first one teach the changment of colors + platforms. The second one is for the color blending.
It seems that it is still a little bit short to understand fully the game mechanics.
I wish there was more to this. You started exploring some really cool and fun puzzles. After the jam it'd be nice to see a few more levels on this.
A really nice simple game, would love to see how else you could expand this idea!
Well, I had some problems in that I got stuck on level 3 I think. Having a reset button would be helpful ^_^ I did like the music, but because it was such a short loop and I got stuck, I actually wanted it to stop. Might be nice to have a toggle or a longer loop.
I had a hard time as another commenter mentioned telling apart the color phase areas from the platforms. I wasn't able to progress any further.
But, definitely an interesting idea and appreciated it! Thanks for the experience. Cheers.
Thank you for the feedback !
Yeah, it seems that the "background" thing is the biggest flaw of the game.
It shows how importat feedbacks are for the player, will definetly improve that for my next games !
When you says that you were stuck in level 3, do you remember if it was because of a bug, or because you didn't find the solution ? (I wanna know if there are some game breaking bugs that passed through my testing phase ^^)
Oh ok, I guess I was just a bit incompetent at the time, though there is a bit of a trick to getting over there to get turned green XD It was apparently difficult for me to achieve that jump, and it's the only way out of that, so at the time I felt as though I must have either done something wrong or run into a bug. I promise that I did try a lot the other day but I was staying up rather later than I normally would have and had a bit of a sleep deficit XD That and I'm not a great platformer in the first place.
Many thanks for taking the time to retry the game !
Yes, the jump seems impressive at first ^^ And the solution is not as easy when you the way backgrounds are platforms are displayed is the game :/
Again, thank you very much for giving it a try. I almost feel ashamed as the end screen is not nice, and you did all that to get to it ^^
That was a neat little game! Brought me back to the good days of enjoying flash games. It is a good working concept.
Love the music and with a little post-processing, this could be one of the nicest looking games! There could be some great puzzles made with these mechanics. Great work Doriens!
That's a tricky idea to get your head around - it fits the theme so well!
P.S I really like that lighting effect!
P.P.S Dope bass line, it's real phat.
Man, this concept is so good! Will you add more levels in the future? And maybe also better indicators to differentiate between blocks and filtering areas?^^
Nice work, short but creative and reveals my total ignorance of colour theory :P
