Thank you for the feedback! :)

Yeah, we had a lot more visual feedback, like attack animations, lined up but couldn't get it into the game in time. ^^

Best one I tried so far! :) I love the little face it makes, when hitting its head <3

The Web Build seems to be stuck on Loading Screen :(

I'm not sure, if I am not getting how to place the bricks, or in the submitted stage, the game is just Breakout so far.

Oh, that is a very good feedback, thank you for that! :) Does this mainly concern the camera spinning when switching characters, or generally when playing?
I will definitely put this on the to-do list for our post-jam development of the game. :)

How are the enemies' HP joined together? I did not manage to get past the second level with the amount of enemy HP and the one hit kill mechanic for the player, and thus I just fought a single enemy both times.

(1 edit)

As others have already remarked, attacking seem to be broken in your online build. The downloadable WebGL Build meanwhile crashes on loading for me. Too bad, since the presentation is quite cute, and I would have liked to see how exactly you have implemented the theme.

EDIT: Quick addition: if I don't attack in the first round and just skip to the next phase, I end up not being able to move at all in the second one. Just a heads-up, if you are planning on continuing development on this gam post-jam. :)

Yes, there are definitely improvements to be made on the handling of the physics. :D

Thank you for your feedback, jynus, I am glad you enjoyed our little puzzler!

That is a very major compliment, jimmyc5! Thank you for playing and the feedback. I am happy you enjoyed it! :)

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! Fun fact: the eyes following the mouse were actually the very first bit of code I wrote for the jam. :)

Oh no, the crashes. This game looks, sounds and plays so well, but only for about 30 sek. at a time for me. Please, please, please upload a fixed version after the jam! :D

I could not for the life of me figure out how to reliably get the character/phone to move when I dragged the mouse, often times it seemed to have as much contempt towards me as it has to its owner. This left me mostly swiping my mouse through the room like a madman. :D That notwithstanding I liked the idea for the game, even if not that directly fitting to the theme, and the presentation was very good with the mean text messages, score counting via reaction emojis and obviously the reference to Thomas was Alone. :)

Really a fun idea and a nice proof of concept on the game mechanic. I would love to see a more fleshed out version of this some time after the jam. :)

That was definitely one of the most fun games I played from this jam! Cute idea and very well executed. Well done! :)

Really beautiful game with relaxing music and some nice brain teasers. Great job! Only the connection to the theme is not that evident.

Yes!!! I am so happy, that you got all the character designs! <3

Music and Sound Effects were also completely self made during the jam. :)

I am glad you liked it! Thank you for playing and your feedback!

I am looking forward to it. :)

That is the spirit! If you had fun in the jam and caught some passion for creating games during it, you're already a winner in my book. ;)

Woah, THE Walrusware played our game!! Thank you so much for playing and the great feedback, I am happy you enjoyed it! :)

Tough as heck to get through! I liked the interpretation of the theme, with my favourite bit being the self aware dialogue. :D

While the gameplay concept definitely needs some work, as others have pointed out, the presentation of your game is just stunning. Well done there!

I don't know, how really to improve on the gameplay without disturbing its nice simplicity.

So sad, that there is no submission. The screenshots look so promising!

The connection to the theme has to be spelled out to be apparent, but the gameplay loop and the presentation are pretty enjoyable. Good work! :)

After I saw your helpful comment under multiple broken Unity WebGL Builds, I decided to go and check your submission out. Pretty fun twist on the connect3 formula! :)
I would mostly have loved some animations ingame, for when the creatures are moved across the board. Especially the "pull towards" action would have been made a lot clearer by that. Great effort though, and thanks again for helping other devs out for their next jam. <3

Your Unity WebGL Build seems to be broken as are so many submissions. :(

I got insulted for dying. A lot. ^^

Not the first prisoner with ball and chain that must be thrown game I've seen in this jam, but it is decently executed.

Also, please update your Project Settings, as it still claims you have a web build.

Oh no. And concept sounds so promosing! I am looking forward to a build post-jam!

Doesn't load for me either. :(

This seems to be a hefty issue with Unity WebGL-Builds. So many broken ones...

Well the basic idea was nice. Shame that you didn't get to implement it. Keep at it, there is always a next time, a next jam coming! :)

The download is a Unity WebGL-Build, so a local web server app is still needed to play the game. Even then there is no real game. There is however one song by Greenday and Tokyo Machine respectively, which usage by the dev has probably not been authorized.

Thank you for the feedback. Which version did you play, web or Windows? I guess the stutter stems from the camera work on level changes being done quick and dirty, this will be improved post-jam. What part of the audio did loop for you? The music or a sound effect?

You marked your game a being playable in the browser, but only have a build for Mac. You should change that via the Edit function for the project form your Dashboard.

The WebGL version does not work for me, the downloadable one does, though. Nice idea and fun implementation. I found a bug though: You can connect multiple carts to the same joint as in having two carts beside each other directly connected to the car. This makes the controls super janky. :D

Holy cow, you're right! O.o How? Why? I'll have to look into that after work. :D
Thank you for playing and fpr your feedback!

Don't beat yourself up. It's a 48h Jam, there is a plethora of unpolished games among the submissions. I really like your interpretation of the theme, really original! :) Also, that you can make your team mates fall in love with the enemy.

You uploaded the complete unity project and possibly a build for Mac (connection.app). Maybe you can edit your project info for the download, that it is only for Mac.

I am curious however. With which engine, if any at all did you develop your games before the jam, and what made you switch to Godot?

The coil is a really great concept that allows for a lot of interesting movement and the execution is pretty good. The checkpoint system did however save a state for me where one slime was unrecoverably falling into spikes. Not that it would be realistic for such a system to be extensively tested in 48 dev time. Great job all in all! :)
