I see other people in here have mentioned Loop Hero, which I'm really enjoying, and I like this a lot too! It might be nice to have some sort of challenge aspects, like a target score and different starting land structures, or something like that, just as motivation. Really satisfying game, nice work!

Great job with this one.  Very impressive work (and juice) for 48 hours.  It reminded me a lot of Tiny Islands.

really well thought out and balanced puzzle game! All of the bonuses/points/combos are clearly thought out, work well with each other, and make for great strategies. Graphics are perfect for the games style, and look great! And Bruno, well done with the music! I really enjoyed it, especially the wooden flute on the first track. Very explory, but at the same time very chill :)

The only thing missing in my opinion was a drive for the player to keep going, since, as addictive as the puzzle gameplay is, it does get a little repetitive after a while. If there could be an element connecting the levels together and making each seem a little different from the last, whether it be a story element with dialog in between, a level system with a target score, or different elements introduced by level... that one little addition will guarantee players will gladly glide from level to level and play for hours on end!

Well done creating such a polished game for such a short jam! Can't wait to see what's added in the post jam updates!

thanks a lot for the feedback! Many of the post-jam things i'll be adding will be related to that particular point, while the changes planned on the existing features will enhance the gameplay and make it even better (:

You're too kind! Really appreciate you checking out the game :)

An interesting and positive puzzle game

This is a really nicely presented game! Kind of reminds me of Loop Hero having the neighbouring tiles effect your score/bonuses. Cool submission!

thanks!

Looks really good! Please add web version at future :)

Developer

Hey! It was supposed to be a web version at first, for everybody to enjoy. Due to a weird bug between Mac and Windows, I chose against it. Will definitely clear the bug out and make it available once the jam is finished, with some extra things in (;

High score of 98! Really nice gameplay and definitely hit the theme straight on! The art style is nice and consistent and clear, and the music is soothing. I would totally play an expanded version of this if you ever made it!

Developer(+1)

thank you for playing! I will be expanding on the game, have a lot of plans coming! stay tuned for more updates on the game

Pleasantly surprised to read you were inspired by Dorfromantik. Your game has the same chill vibe, but still requires you to think to optimise.

Submitted(+1)

Super chill and awesome!! Great job :D  You gotta keep working on this~

Loved this!

First play through was a bit more confusing since it took a couple turns before I understood what the instructions meant. Which meant I'd messed up my structure some what.

But on my 2nd and third playthrough I started getting the groove of it much more. Optimisation is very addicting! Current record for me is 397:

Developer

wow you reaaaaally got in the groove for real! 397 is so far the best score i have seen!

loved it! such a calm little game.

Quickly when I got more special tiles, I've become more strategic with the placement of each tile, which felt great!
it reminded me the feeling of the  city building mechanic from "loop hero"

would love to see it expanded even more! with bigger canvas and more special tiles- great job!

Loveley game. The gameplay requires you too think a bit in advance, and it overall works together very well. As i said earier it is very remenicent of Tiny Islands, but still very much its own thing. It was a bit unclear of  "ajacent tiles" meant the 4 or 8 surounding it, but found it was just the 4 trough experimentation. The gameplay seems affected by luck quite a bit, my first game was a score of 223, but my secound with a better understanding was ~150.

The art and music is loveley too. The art was really great, great execution and palette. The hermit house looks a bit like it doesn't quite fit, but that is probalby just me.  Also noticed the castle didn't make it. Love all the uniuqe music.

Again, loveley game. Very relaxing. Seing your finished board when the score is presented could be something to keep if you are going to develop it further. Its a shame i can't study my completed board once im done.

Developer(+1)

223 is really insane! Thanks a lot for the suggestion, I'll definitely add the possibility to see your world after a game is completed (: someone suggested to have hint at the score you will get before placing a tile, which is a good idea and will clear up confusion about the adjacent thing!

Developer

for the reliance on luck, it is a luck based game for sure. I currently have it a bit fixed up by lowering the chances to get certain things like the hermit house. sometimes, however, chance is simply not on your side. I should probably add a way to quit a level so you dont waste your time on a level with a bad start

I really love the chill nature of this game. The presentation is top notch. I would love to play this in a multiplayer context as well, with space being taken up by players each turn. Well done!

Developer

thank you for playing!

The graphics are so cute and squishy!! Really loved it, it gets hectic but it is so fun. Awesome game!!

It starts off so well, making neat patterns, getting tons of points.

And then it goes so wrong as you get literally all the tiles you don't want! Ahhhhh I love it, this game is genius and beautiful!

(Finished with a score of 136)

I love cute Pixel art graphics, simple rules, soothing effects, everything. If this is released as a smartphone game, I think it will be fun to play. Unbelievable quality of a game made in 2 days!

I got a score of 168. Its a really fun game and it seems super polished for being made in 48 hours. It seems HEAVILY inspired by the game ISLANDERS by Grizzly Games. That's not a bad thing at all because I really liked that game as well. Really great job! This is one of the best games I've played yet from this jam!

Developer(+1)

thats a pretty impressive score! I wonder how you got there. I have not played islander. My main inspiration was Dorf Romantik

Submitted(+1)

Scored 151 for my first go.

You guys did all the art and music in 48 hours? Incredible. It's great to play something with so much polish. Nothing feels like a placeholder, yet you have so much room to expand with new mechanics or map sizes. Well done!

(+1)

That's a pretty great score! Yeah we did, somehow haha. Very glad it felt polished and that you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing.

Developer(+1)

Hey! thank you! Im glad you liked the art (: Pixel art is not too hard when you get to do a lot of it. My secret is mostly to do no animation directly on the art, but in code instead. That saves a bunch of time on making the art. On top of it, making each sprite as simple, with few details and few colors as possible also saves on time. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Nice Game :) Reminds me of islanders on steam. I think it would be nice to give a few more points, it felt like most tiles only give 1 or 2 points. Or maybe I did something wrong^^

Submitted(+1)

Very good looking, and the concept is interesting! Could use a bit more clarity on the scoring, like having the game tell you how many points you're going to get for your current placement if you click.

Developer(+1)

good point!
