I love the Electroplankton-style musical mechanics! A really relaxing game. I think it would be cool if it leaned even more into these sort of musical aspects.

How does your game fit the theme?
You have to join together all the pieces of a melody that are also the pieces of the puzzle. It is a more abstract link by the music itself

I love this! Original, relaxing and extremely satisfying! Trying to think of suggestions but not a lot comes to mind outside of perhaps including a built-in tutorial (it could even be as simple as explaining why a thing (e.g. a row burning) has happened the first time it happens) - but totally understandable not having something like this for a 48 hr jam game. Seriously nice work!
Idea is definitely nice, but the execution is where this game shines through! The whole game is very well presented and is extremely fun to play! Those sounds are very nice! One addition I would suggest, it might be cool to move tiles vertically as well. Just an idea!
Overall, a really solid entry to the jam!
This is one of the most original games I've seen so far in this jam, a very abstract but also a very smart take on the theme! Though a little tutorial might also benefit, everything clicked very quickly and it was easy to learn how the game works. The gameplay is extremely simple but makes for some very engaging play; I still think I want to spend more time on this game haha. And it's also very satisfying to see the ball go into the hoop when you find a solution. Your graphics and animations too are also very well polished, I liked that rainbow trail that shows the path the ball takes when it reaches a hoop.
The only thing I would say is that once I found a solution and the game took away a row, I found it quite easy to find the next solution most of the time by moving a single row. I think it would be really cool if that the row is removed, and that all the platforms rotated by a random amount to give some more variation and also requiring the player to think more rather than to make one tiny move. Just a little suggestion in case you want to expand on this, which I hope you do.
I absolutely love this jam game, and I really want to see a full version of this!
I just ran this game idle on my browser for a while, with a final score of 5275. This game is a tremendous amount of fun, and it was easy to just sit around and play it idly while doing other things, I loved how it kept changing but there was no fail state or time limit, it gave the game an almost meditative quality. I think it does relate to the theme, as you need to join together the different blocks to make on succesful path to get the ball in (thought the explanation you submitted is a bit unclear). Great job!
This was an awesome awesome implementation of a musical puzzle! Love the idea that the melodies lead you to the right answer and it was fun to be able to hear so many different iterations it always stayed fresh in the player's ear! Great job and fun game!
Music to my ears! Really fun and addictive game. Satisfying sounds, would love to see this expanded more!
The theme was a bit of a stretch, and I stumbled upon a solution that makes the tiles not explode (I had to shift one of the rows to score which means the tiles didn't get stale), but otherwise this is a very satisfying game to play.
I'm not sure if I understand well but I'll give you the rules to make it clearer :
When a line doesn't have any bamboo left it will explode. And the bamboos that get deleted are the one that the last ball touched. So if you move in between you can technicaly do some weird stuff. A circle need 3 balls in a row to validate your move, and it starts a 5 second timer each time a ball goes. If after 5 second an other ball didn't reach the counter reset. And since a ball spawns every 4 seconds it works 100% of the time if you don't change the path, but can be hard if you move as it goes.
Hope it helps you and thank you for playing!
what a bizarre game. All I would change is add more levels with more instruments.
Full marks, easily the game I had the most fun playing, and would've played infinitely it if it wasn't because of bedtime
Really liked it, felt like pinball. The gameplay was really well done.
I am rating this game really highly because I think its really fun, original and the presentation is great but I don't think it fits the theme of the jam at all.
Thank you! Yes the idea doesn't appear as easily as I would have wanted. The idea is that the ball by bouncing arround joins everything with a melody. Which is also the key to the puzzle, so it was supposed to give you a double sens of satisfaction that reflect the theme. But yes, it is too abstract in the end. Even with the rainbow that show what have been joined together by the music.
Really soothing experience, thank you for making that game :> *pling plong pling plong*
I really enjoyed this! It's so calming and fun to make really long chains of ricochets.
I love all the ways the sounds work together in this to make a really nice-sounding game! I kinda wish you could move the end goals around and maybe get a bigger variety of solution-sounds
