Very entertaining, really hard to get the hang of. The music didn't work for me which made the game extremely disconcerting to play.
Cool game but it was a little difficult.
Really polished and cool idea but it goes really fast :O Also one health seems to be a little punishing
Super challenging, and I was out of control most of the time but it fits the theme well! Some sfx would have really added to it.
Clever idea! Finding the balance between run away and attact is challanging and interesting.
Very clever game. Super difficult, but fits the theme very nicely. Good work!
Nice arcade style game! The difficulty curve makes it kind of frustrating, i find the shield more useful than the cannons, maybe it needs some sort of aim assist to be more effective. Hope you will improve it after the jam! Nice work!
Pretty fun! I got past 16 enemies. I figured I could outrun everyone, then fire back. Once you get the hang of it, you don't really feel out of control tho.
I feel like the game was veering into frustrating rather than fun because hitting the enemies was a bit too difficult. I do think this game could be a lot of fun with a bit more balancing.
I destroyed a few enemies! It is hard but when you get the controls it starts to connect. It is easier to use the shield to kill enemies than the weapon.
I had no fun but it is not the dev's fault. I suck at games like these or anything that requires coordination. The game itself is well made and seems well thought out, especially for the time alloted, and I look forward to seeing more of what the dev makes, just maybe not as hectic as this please?
Couldn't survive 100 enemies but hey! It's fun anyway! It's very pretty too. Not too innovative though. Added to my favs :)
Very cool and difficult game, did you survive the 100 enemies? because I could'nt haha
Well, I couldn't too... Yet! hahaha but a friend of mine did it, so I know it is possible! Thanks!
Just to let you know, using CTRL at the same time as D is the shortcut for "bookmark" on chrome ahah. For the game, I found it funny. Greate job!
Yes, I didn't even think about that before! hahaha I made the entire thing with the arrow keys in mind, my bad
I really like the idea of only controlling your movement or your shooting at once in a shmup like this. The art and overall aesthetic looks awesome, although I know you used pre-mades, but good job pulling it all together. Sounds would for sure sell the whole aesthetic and gameplay a ton. But as for the gameplay itself it was fun and interesting. I for sure found it hard, especially with 100 enemies it sounded super daunting. Also if the small enemy ships were 1 shot to kill, it would be way more satisfying and a bit more doable haha Overall great job!
Thanks for the feedback! This was my first game jam, 48 hours was really tight and I didn't have time to test a lot at the end (I actually spent a lot of time at the beginning obsessing about the feel of the ship and the enemies, so everything else was a real rush).
It's so satisfying to be in control of the ship. The art is not amasing but that's no big deal with this good gameplay !
Fun, difficult and well polished (even if the art was pre-made).
Great job here Matt!
Thank you!
Pretty unique take on the theme. Great!
The graphics in this game were really well done. Gameplay was decent too, if a bit harsh at times. Overall thouh I thought it was a decent game, well done.
Oh wow, I love how the ships are moving !
