Amazing take on the theme. I really enjoyed playing this one. Great work.

Great game! Very tight experience for a 48 hour jam! Would have maybe liked it to feel a little out of control faster (but maybe I'm just not good enough :D)
I really like the visuals in this game --- the particle effects are especially nice! The game is a ncie fit to the theme too, but it takes a little while before I felt that was true.
The first few rounds were too slow for my liking. It was hard to find the enemies and they didn't seem to seek me out very well. So I spent a lot of time running around. This was fixed in the later rounds when there were a lot more enemies.
The upgrades started to stack up and really gave me a nice feeling of being out of control. The pushback made it hard to move forwards and the rubbery barrel was a hilarious touch (and a cool visual effect!).
The enemy scaling themselves felt a bit off. Once I met the green enemies the game became much harder as they took a long time to kill and did so much damage so fast! But otherwise I thought the enemies were well designed.
Overall the game was intuitive, well built, and felt great to play. I spotted a couple other small issues like my camera clipping into some of the meshes, but nothing unexpected for a 48 hour game. Really great work!
Lots of games like this, but this one has a fair bit of polish - enjoyed my time with it
Really nice game! Fun and challenging (shooting grenades all the time became difficult to move around).
Neat take on the theme :3 We also made a shooter with weapons that fire on their own but we took different approaches. Nice to see that the same basic idea can lead to two different games :D
The more you play, the sillier the game get. I laugh so hard on that rubber gun.
The concept isn't too original but the upgrades do make up for that, the atmosphere was great though. The sensitivity was also really really high and there was no option to change that, but I guess that means it adds to the theme? It also felt like you had to find then enemies rather than vice versa and other people have commented on that too.
Had a lot of fun using the recoil to run backwards faster. The camera kept clipping into the geometry though so id go blind for a second.
I like the presentation but overall I felt that the lack of control of the gun had little downside as it was constantly firing and there was no ammo to worry about. Perhaps add some recoil that the player can attempt to manage when actually attempting to shoot an enemy, or perhaps add things you don't want to shoot so that you have to actually manage the fact that you're constantly spraying bullets.
Hey thank you for playing and thank you for the feedback!
There are a number of negative upgrades, one makes you shoot grenades that can harm you, another makes your barrel rubbery and floppy (causing the gun to fire very inaccurately when moving) so after a few waves not killing yourself (or staying alive depending on the upgrades you're given) can be tricky. :)
I got super annoyed at the constant gun sfx blaring into my ears. Couldn't really tell if the explosions felt fine or just did not make it worse.
And that one, last enemy that seemed to be hiding every single round always turned this from a shoot-em-up into hide-and-seek for a bit.
But other than that it was really good! I still had a lot of fun showering hordes of enemies with grenades. Not sure which of concept, art style, and music was my favorite part.
Big fan of the art style and music! Awesome job creating all the audio yourself, we made our own music this year but didn't have the nerve or time to make our own sound fx lol.
Firing of the gun, especially the grenade is super satisfying too, just wish there was more feedback on the enemy's death!
I like the idea of having no control over your gun or upgrades you get, you have to adapt to the situation and dodge your own projectiles in some cases, good job!
