The game is very fun. The music is also fun.

congratulations on your subbmission first of all, here is my honest feedback, i think making a tutorial first would be nice as of what to do in the game and how to play it out, since i kept trying to get past the first spider for like 10 minutes and then i quit, as of the theeme and the feeling of the game it was really lovely and fits the theeme perfectly, so overall i loved your game and great job!
First of all, congrats on your first game jam! That is worthy of celebrating! I also started learning game dev from Gamedev.tv and it's incredible to now be participating on a jam organized by them! So hey, congrats on participating on your first jam, I hope you continue growing your skills!
The game has a great atmosphere, I loved how scary the spider is only for her to bonk on you until you're flat lol I would've loved to be able to see a little bit ahead of me while moving or even having the ability to move the camera a little bit while hidden would've been greatly appreciated.
Really good stuff, keep up the great work!
Thank you 😊 Yes, it was indeed cool to participate on the jam even with my really shallow current knowledge. As I develop the game I'll try to polish these things.
While I implemented a camera wich have much more view to the front than the back even showing that when the Wurm changes facing direction, I ran into a problem with the confiner and cannot solve it till the end of the deadline and I needed to abandon for the moment.
Cool game idea.
The art style is quite nice, and the vibe is scary.
Nicely done!
loved the graphics and the aesthetic. very creepy and scary. A very well put together game.
Worm Limbo worm Limbo.
Really promising, good luck on your future projects.
The art really shines in this one. I especially like the blinking eyes when you're in a hiding spot. Also the spiders, very creepy! The only saving grace is that I, the caterpillar, must be made of rubber considering the noises that are made when I'm caught. :D
Great job for being so early in your game dev journey!

Hey! Loved the aesthetics overall, the dark cave vibe and hiding from one of my phobias really hit the spot. I loved the sounds you make as the worm! The controls felt easy, though it was a bit uncomfortable to press Ctrl to see the hiding spots while running with Shift. I found out how to go up by pure luc, maybe highlight the roots that lead upward? (I skipped the tutorial, sorry!) Great game!
That’s a nice entry, the atmosphere of terror, not knowing if a little beyond the camera, some creature will kill you (I died many times until I understood the mechanics of hiding).
I think it reminds me of games like Limbo.
Keep going! Maybe make some checkpoints so it doesn’t get so difficult (unless the decision is that the game is difficult, lol).
Others already flagged the camera going rogue while hiding and moving, but great concept. Love the dark vibe!
Loved the look of the game! Especially the spider looked awesome the way it moved
Super love the atmosphere and the art, and the hiding mechanic. Though the camera can be a bit buggy, and if you are moving whilst entering a hiding place you'll keep moving forever.
as others pointed out it really gives Limbo vibes, which i think it's not that easy to recreate so good job!
Definitely some Limbo vibes here. The environment is so good, especially the lighting effects and the spider. Great work!
The camera sometimes trails off to one side, so I think there's a bug somewhere in there. Honestly I thought it was intentional at first because it trailed off towards the spider and looked super cinematic! But then it never came back and I couldn't see myself anymore haha.
Another random thought: maybe instead of jumping, the caterpillar could just climb up onto vertical surfaces as well? There could be some interesting platform design that makes you traverse vertically or even upside down.
