Nice little tower defense game. We liked the descriptions of the buildings but in the end had spare gold we couldn't spend. The upgrade text was clipped on one vehicle (IRS or coffe van?)

Developer

Apreciate the feedback and you playing it!

There is always a tower defense game that I can really enjoy and this was that one for me - loved it! Super fun and a charming game! I had fun playing it and trying someone's suggestions of a bee only run:

I would love to play more, great game!

Notes:

1) Too much information when I go to first build a tower - maybe have towers unlock as the run progresses? Only two options at the start and grows from there to help with info overload. Subpoint - sometimes less info is good to let the plyer figure out some things on their own

2) It never felt good seeing a whole squad dodge an attack or have a whole squad heal from an attack on the first level and all I could do is watch and wait.

3) Sometimes I wasn't sure if I had clicked on a tower or not since there was no selector / indicator to show that information to me

4) The upgrade page on the coffee tower overlaps

5) It was hard to tell that the ruler one was something the enemies could walk into and take damage

6) With the bees, it seemed like sometimes (with multiple bee towers) they could spawn on other tiles with other bees, but that could just be me

7) It started off too hard, but got too easy by the end - I could kill enemies off screen with some of the towers which felt OP

I think there was more feedback I was trying to remember, but I forgot - I gave you some high scores, lots of 5's so the points I am making are for you to improve a game I already think highly of! Great job!

Submitted(+1)

Oh- maybe the upgrade UI should appear closer to the building so you do not have to move the mouse across the screen when upgrading / building new towers

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Really appreciate all the feedback, all of it is going into my feedback doc! Thanks a ton for taking your time and putting it all down in such a structured manner!

If this becomes a real game, I want the bee only run to be an achievement B)

Cool game, well done!!

Developer

Thanks for checking it out!

Very well made game! Great job!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words!

Such a good, polished game, well done! The towers are fun, unique and very effective at killing little guys - the only thing I wish it that the waves got much harder towards the end. I tried a few times to do a bee only run, but it didn't end well for me

Developer

Appreciate you playing! Yep difficulty is pretty wack for sure have to rewrite how the waves are generated. Appreciate the feedback!

I had so much fun with this game! I played until the end and was thrilled to buy all the upgrades and every type of building. It really did get easier with each new upgrade! By the end, I was nearly invincible, even with just a few HP left. I'm happy there was actually an ending and that there's an indicator showing how many waves remain. This really gives good perspective. Overall, a great game! Pure joy!

Developer(+2)

Thanks for the kind words! Btw i checked out ur tg after playing your game and holy moly you are working in a custom engine, props to you! Pretty sure you are one of like 5 people in this jam who are not working in some kind of out of the box framework

Submitted

Yeah, so far it was very nice, because we can play with cool custom UI, and I am making scenes right in blender, but there are downfalls too - like we still can't make skeletal animations :D

Developer(+2)

Ohhh i bet skeletal animations are a pain in the ass to try and get into an engine. But once again props to you, i've tried making a very simple 2d engine and it was a horrible experience (maybe im just bad at c++)

I'm not usually a fan of tower defence games, but this was a fun one, I was really bad at it and failed many times, but I enjoyed it, the world design is stunning, and the music was fitting, I also loved the descriptions, they made me laugh

Developer

Thanks for checking it out

Super fun game! Love the sound effects and the art of the towers and the enemies.

Family friendly is a light suggestion for the game. Loaded with humour and pretty cool game design ideas.

Very satisfying and fun, had to go back and try different building combinations and strategies.

Loved it 10/10

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Family friendly is one of the design pillars for sure ;)

Submitted(+1)

More like a friendly suggestion haha

My biggest struggle was clicking the ability and firing them in timely manners. I read a comment about shortcut to active them and I think that wouldve really helped me. But I absolutely loved the tower descriptions xD hahaha. Great game, congrats! ^.^

Developer

Thank you, thank you. For sure wil add some kind of hotbar/hotkeys

Submitted(+1)

It's a great game, I wish there was an auto system because I couldn't choose the shot in time.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Auto attacks are kinda against my design philosophy for this one, but I do appreciate the feedback!

Your game is so great! The towers are all so unique and offer different ways to engage the enemies. I had a fun time.

Developer

Glad you had fun, appreciate you playing!

Submitted(+1)

I had a blast playing Tiny Kingdoms! The manual activation of tower abilities added a refreshing layer of strategy and kept me engaged throughout. The variety of towers and their unique mechanics made each wave exciting. I did find myself wishing for a hotkey to cycle through abilities, as clicking each one amidst the action was a bit challenging. Also, a feature to remove or reposition towers would be a great addition for refining strategies. Overall, a fantastic and innovative take on tower defense, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words! For sure will add hotkeys/hotbar and selling towers in the future! Appreciate the feedback

Submitted(+1)

I got slaughtered on my first run by only building two schools but then absolutely demolished the game and got to the end on my second attempt. I was craving either a hotkey or a way to cycle through my ready abilities without having to click on the small ability icon above each tower; but having to do so did increase the tension while my foes where barreling down on me.  Fantastic Work!

Developer

Appreciate the feedback, for sure I'm gonna implement some kind of hotkeys/hotbar in the future

I could see the inspiration for sure, I love PvZ and still have it on my phone!
i think it was a unique feature to make the rounds playable during each wave by needing to place them. def a nice change of pace!

Developer

Funny story, I actually never played pvz I just noticed that the game was looking similar when I was making it, so I put it in ;) Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Fun game! Felt satisfying to beat it. I had all the upgrades I could get at round 10, so then it was a fast clicking game!

Developer

thanks for playing!

Very fun game. I played until the end.

Great work

Developer

Thanks for checking it out!

Had great fun playing this! The bee tower was way better than I first expected and I really enjoyed the different variations of tower! Great job

Developer

Thanks!!

Submitted(+1)

Great game! Addictive! It would be great to have some towers that attack automatically

Developer

Thanks for playing! I mean my design phylosophy was to have player manually do all the tower abilities, so i didn't wanna add any autoatacks

Submitted(+1)

Great game! Very polished, simple, and clean. It runs perfectly!

"Better at penetration than the guy who designed it" lol - I loved the game. Really good work for a 10 day jam. Definitely a game that you have to play more than once to get the hang of.  My first tower was Metric Justice and I'm not sure if I just dont understand how this tower works but as far as I can tell it didn't actually do anything. Ultimately I build 3 longshots, 3 zeus wannabes, a coffee lab, a buzzsaw, and a metric justice all maxed out. Mechanically the game is really solid and I liked the thought you put in to doing upgrades, having utility buildings to lower cooldowns etc. The one feature I would have loved would have been a 'delete' tower option so I could get a few more longshots in there. Finished all 12 runs and it felt like a very satisfying experience, so great work on this.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and taking your time to write a comment! The metric justice actually slaps 3 horizontal lines if it's possible, i knew it was a bit unintuitive but didnt have time to add a custom cursor that would show that you have to choose where it strikes. And yep the sell button is really needed, again didn't have time to add. If i ever come back to the game will for sure fix everything you described!
