Nice game! Had little problems to take control of the movement of the camera with my mouse.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Glad you liked the game, camera issues I had never gotten around to fine tuning, but would definitely be worked on as a major improvement in future

Nice idea and well implemented. As others have said below, I think it would have been great if you'd had the time to have different characteristics to distinguish the being from each dimension, and also it would have been nice to have the best time listed for each level so you have a target to beat.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Best time completely skipped my mind, I was too busy thinking about stars... definitely a thought to keep in mind for next time

Submitted

Nice take on the theme!
A short tutorial level would probably be a good idea since at first I didn't know what to do but then I got 6900 points on the second level once it clicked:
Also I had some camera issues but all in all it worked well

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

A tutorial was planned, but lack of time left me leaving just a "how to play" page, and I planned to fix camera issues but haven't had the time to release a patch. Congrats on beating both levels!

Submitted

You should check out my game too and let me know what you think about it

Developer

I plan to go through all comments games when I get chance, recovering from being ill after overworking for the jam, starting to recover though so weekend binging for me

Submitted

This is a really nice concept! Pretty original and fun! And you really got right into the theme, to my opinion. One problem, the camera gets stuck while turning for no reason

Nice done!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Glad you found it fun, I did have a couple issues with the camera in development, but haven't had chance to work on a fix yet

Nice concept.

Developer

Thank you!

Hey, that's a pretty neat idea. I was able to beat the game, but was also wanting to play more. It would be cool to see what other challenges you would be able to add to later levels if you had more time to expand upon the concept.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

So glad you enjoyed the game, I might make a second version down the line using the concept for more levels and variants

Submitted

I like the concept, but I couldn't work out WHO was meant to be in each dimension. Feel it needed more extreme characters to judge that. Like perhaps animals, or aliens, or bright colours.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback!

Different types of variation was planned but due to time I couldn't add different types of levels by the deadline. Glad you liked the concept though

Cool idea, I can see lots of potential! It was unclear what the criteria was for getting 3 stars, I somehow managed to though. Congrats on your first game jam!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, glad you managed to beat it!

The criteria was accuracy and speed, clarity suffered from time constraints, but if I take it further I'll make sure to improve in that regard

I liked the idea and the pick up character mechanic, but unfortunately couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do.  Read the instructions a few times but still confused.  I can tell you spent a lot of time working on the menus. Tried moving characters around to different quadrants. I was initially thinking that there would be clue based on how they were dressed but couldn't figure it out :(

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback!

The characters were split between light and dark, and they went in the two different dimensions, if you pressed Q (keyboard) it would change from a light world to a dark world, and once they're all in the right dimension you press the end level button (Enter, keyboard).

Thanks for giving the game a try and I'll look into improving the instructions if I take the concept further! 😊

Good idea switch between dimensions, but I could not complete the level... didn't understand which character is supposed to be in which dimension. I tought at the beginning that dark shaded characters went to the darker dimension, and lighter character in ligher dimension but when I placed every character in respective "shade", pressing Y did not bear any effect.

Theme is spot on though, well done! :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

A couple people who have tested had issues with controller inputs when both KBM and Controller were connected, definitely a bug I'll need to look into, thanks for flagging it for me

Mouse oversensitive in WEBGL so you need to slow it down whne building for it.
I didnt know what was going on so needed more of an explanation what to do (something like a tutorial)
I did get there eventually and passed level 1.
But as I found the controls tricky I gave up with 2.
Was a nice little concept and with some tweacks could work well

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

I did plan on adding sensitivity options but time caught up to me, same happened with a tutorial stage, glad you enjoyed the concept though and sorry you had to stop due to issues with controls

It is very nice game. Gj :)

Thank you! 😊

Had to get the point of rightclicking to change the 'dimension'. Then it became easy, but you can't reload, so it was a bit annoying.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

The reload issue is definitely something I'd look into if taken further, it completely skipped my mind in development since ending the level would let you try again at level select

Submitted

Yup, like the others comments, it's a simple game but spot on with the theme. Because there's no auto-win feature, I need some time to figure out why I still didn't win even though the people are in the right dimension

And, yeah, time management is sometimes a problem for some people. I understand it :)

Well, congrats on your first game jam!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Definitely changing that mechanic if I work on the project further then, I thought it'd be an interesting twist having the player guess if they were right or not, but it wasn't made very clear, a tutorial might be able to help with that also though.

Submitted

Ah I see, I do understand what you want!

Yup, you need to make it very clear. Good luck!

An interesting concept!

There are some issues if you switch between mouse/keyboard and gamepad, it seems like when one input is used it 'locks' that to the specific device. For example, pushing Y on the gamepad meant that trying to use Enter to finish the level wouldn't respond. (Maybe it's just me though!) I three starred both levels once I stopped trying to use a controller. :)

Congratulations on submitting a game to a jam for the first time! I hope you'll enter more of them in the future!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback!

I did have a few issues with Inputs, especially when both input devices were available. Thanks for testing with controller inputs too, hadn't gotten around to that on web build!

I'll for sure be back for more jams, both GDev and others when i find the time.

Submitted(+1)

Played it on stream with ya :). I think personally I killed it

simple game with switching dimension. However, I take pretty long time for understanding what should I do to win. I think it is better if you specify and explain more about "put the people in the correct dimension". Also, it will be better if there is a indicator of player progress in the game like how many people is not in the right dimension. Also, if all of the people already in the correct dimension, consider work on auto Win instead of waiting the player for end the level manually because that will confuse the player and make them think that there is something they should do even if there is nothing else to do. overall nice job for completing the game!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

I tried to avoid auto-win to make the players think about when to "submit" their levels, but I might change that if I take it further.

And as for the understanding, I definitely should make it clearer, thanks for taking the time to play and write a detailed page of feedback

Submitted

Hi!
I didn't really understand what it is that I was supposed to do, but I gave it a go! Very impressive you got the navmesh agents working.. i could never gifure that out myself! Great job!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

I've spent a long time learning AI and navigation so I put a simple version in for this,

The ? on the main menu does help with instructions, and i added that page to the description too since it doesn't specifically say that tells you how to play.

Cool game!
