Really cool game, it was a lot of fun to experiment and also discover some wierd things such as reversing gravity with timing and stuff getting lots of high jumps and skipping stuff but I think it worked out well as in some places, i couldnt figure out how to get there without a little gitchyness. Either way, great design, cool art, I wish it was a little more zoomed in or perhaps a larger window but it looks awesome!

Developer

I'll play around with different camera zoom settings. Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the late reply.

I was able to cheat a little by wall jumping up, but it was a neat mechanic with the world switching. I found myself playing around with it, even though I don't really enjoy puzzle games. But it all looks nice, and it feels fun to jump between the two dimensions.

I'm glad that you liked the game :)
Sorrrrry for the late reply.

Neat little puzzle game and simple design. Good mechanic.

Developer

Thank you :)

This is a pretty cool concept; the level designs are great; you can solve them other than how they were intended, which was pretty cool; and the music you chose sets the right atmosphere. I think more levels would be great; overall, good job! :D

I'm glad that you liked the game. I'll work on polishing the game further and also adding more levels. So sorry for the late reply.

Nice puzzle game, simple but efficient. I like the music choice that gives it the right atmosphere :)

Developer

I'm glad that you liked the game :)

Nice execution, atmosphere feels cohesive with the art style and music. I liked feeling like I was finding a loophole with the shift jumping. Good job!

Developer

Hehe. I'm glad that you liked the game. Sorry for the late reply.

Nice job with this one :) I enjoy these kind of games. There seem have been an issue with the wall jumping, it stopped working for me after the 3 level or so.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback :). Yes, there are some issues with the wall jump and I'll try to fix them. So sorry for the late reply.

Neat idea, nothing new on the table but I like the little details that you play as the reaper and the music fits excellent imo. I imagine if the mechanics were more crisp and fledged out and faster, that you could really make a cool speedrunning game like MattressD said. Chaining dashes and walljumps and dimension shifts make for some cool strategies. I also like that you already could solve some levels other than how it was "intended", since im a big fan of speedrunning and games like celeste/meatboy.

Keep up the good work :)

Developer

I'm going to try to polish the mechanics and create more interesting levels. Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the late reply.

I really like the way you have interpreted the jam theme, the game is fun to play and I really like the ambient surrounding, they pop, good job on that one :D.

I'm glad that you liked the game :). Sorry for the late reply.

I really love the gameplay and how you can almost create your own strategies for navigating through the level.

I think this kind of game would also be great for speed running, where players can upload their fastest scores for each level and make it competitive, similar to Super Meat Boy. I ended up playing through some levels twice just to try out different strategies (like jumping, dashing in the air, and then swapping between dimensions really quick to maintain altitude and not die).

I had a lot of fun playing around with the mechanics and I think this would be a great start to a bigger, more polished game. Great work!

Developer

I'm glad that you liked the game :).Sorry for the late reply. I got busy and couldn't log on itch.

Nice use of the theme and some clever level design. The wall jump is a bit finnicky, sometimes it lets you walljump and sometimes it doesn't.

Playing upside down also messed with my head :P

Great job !

Developer

Hehe, playing upside down does get tricky at times😁. And yeah the wall jump wasn't properly implemented so i'll look into and sorry for the late reply, i got busy and couldn't get on itch.

Wow, genuinely one of the best platformers from this Game Jam. The idea here was great and has real potential! I'm not sure if it was intentional but spamming the shift meant I could essentially keep my altitude, either this could work in favour of the mechanics or could allow players to bypass some of the levels. Super interesting though! Good work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a ton! Your feedback means a lot to me. The dash mechanic is meant to maintain altitude but yeah, you're totally right that it could be used to cheat through the levels. So, I'll make the cooldowns longer and try some other tricks to stop that nonsense. Seriously, your feedback means a lot to me. Thanks again! :)

Submitted

I actually meant the shift between gravities/dimensions! not the dash itself, being able to essentially ping pong my way through the level was super interesting

Developer(+1)

Oops, sorry about that! I misunderstood your comment earlier. It's crucial for players to maintain their altitude in order to successfully navigate through the levels. The game levels are intentionally designed to require that game mechanic. It adds a whole new layer of challenge and strategy to the gameplay.

Clever game ;)

Thank you :)

Nice mechanics, jumping felt good! I though the camera was a little too zoomed out, other than that I enjoyed playing this!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it. I'll definitely play around with some different camera settings and see if they work better :)

Pretty good! The platforming is mostly polished and the wall jump is concise. I had fun!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad that you liked it:)

Absolutely fantastic! I'm not sure if you intended for the switch mechanic to function the way it did, but it's incredibly fun. Not sure, but if you've played portal, your combination of mechanics reflects the effect of having an items fall perpetually through the portal. I've managed to cheese a few levels and even fly off the screen at one point haha.

Love the little game you made, it is one of the few games which deserve a 5* for fun. Well done!

Developer

Thanks a bunch! Your words really mean a lot to me! I never expected anyone to notice, but here's what I did: I saved the player's velocity before the dimension switch, teleported them, and then put their velocity back to what it was before. I'm so happy that you liked it! :) Oh, and you're right about some levels needing tweaks. I'll definitely look into that and make sure to fix them. Thanks for pointing it out!

Nice puzzle game, I liked the transition mechanics between the two dimensions. Well done!

Neat idea, a little tricky to get the hang of the controls!

Developer

Hehe, Thank you! I didn't want the game to be too easy😁

Great idea of a concept, just one thing - its actually right-click to switch sides, took me forever to figure it out...and perhaps its just me, but i couldnt get past the 3rd or so level, perhaps the platforms could be little bit closer to each other (through dimensions)?

Developer

I have added a tip on the 3rd or 4th level that you can switch dimensions with the left mouse buttons. And I let my friends try the game and they were able to complete the other levels too. They are very easy once you get the hang of it.
