I love the aesthetics and the humour in all of this. Couple with a puzzle clue game it was quite enjoyable.

This. was. amazing! What a great mystery with a really cool clue system! I had to draw things out and take some notes but I made it to the end, great job! This reminded me of a fun-sized Return of the Obra Dinn haha

My favorite game of this jam so far! I loved the graphics, characters, dialogue, mechanics. I had some trouble in the beginning about how this is supposed to work, but was able to figure it out. My only pain point is - I played through to the end, i.e. with the last "correct" badge the end cut scene played. But I STILL don't understand what had happened to the ghost. It was all really, really good and now I feel really, really stupid. I might have to have another go.

Wonderful game, loved every bit of it, from the finely curated pixel art to the gripping gameplay that left us progressively more curious as how the ending would go. The characters may seem simple initially but their personalities blend together perfectly to leave you skeptical about all of their actions! The ending was unexpected and we really liked that it was devoid of cynicism.
The only issue we encountered is a pretty minor one, but it's related to the swapping of the clue images when you insert them in the timelines: when you change them fast, they tend to glitch a bit (this only occurs when you have found the object clues and not only the characters).
Really great job with this game, you're very talented!

Wow, cool-looking game. Loved the mechanics!

Fantastic looking game, reminds me of the 2-toned gameboy games, but definitely better looking than that :)

The gameplay feels really smooth and I was really getting into the investigation. The characters were funny too. Sadly, I didn't realize you could modify the journal until I had done far too much, so I had already forgotten a lot. I think I'm going to go back and play it again later tonight!

awesome game! The graphics are great, the controls are responsive and the gameplay is really engaging, the story is interesting and got me hooked,  overall I enjoyed playing this one ! congratulations! keep it up!

You have developed a really great game. I had fun puzzling and searching and felt very comfortable as a ghost xD

You did really well and I will definitely play it more often :)

Looks very nice and polished, I didn't get to finish it though because I didn't realise I was supposed to fill in the timeline. I explored the whole house, found the clues, talked to the suspects but then I didn't know what I was supposed to do. I came to the comments section for ideas and saw about the timeline. Hopefully I will have time to have another go tomorrow because it looks like a very cute game and sadly I think there are some spoiler-y comments but I can't wait to see how it ends.

Also, it would be better if it didn't require a scrollwheel, not all of us have one! (Laptop, no mouse and the 2 finger gesture on the glidepad isn't easy to control)

And, I'm pretty sure Rex is actually a duck hah

So in love with the art style of this game. Looks really polished. Great job!

I quite liked this - two events stumped me for a while but the game is engaging enough that I didn't give up before the twist clicked for me, which was a great payoff - well done

I am not good at games like these but while playing this, I really enjoyed it. I love the 8bit sound when people are speaking ^w^.

I didn't get to finish this, but I will say it was enjoyable playing through and the art style is really awesome!

Great game with great graphics. I did not have the time to finish it but will come back to it.

Thanks a lot.

Great graphics, great idea. This is the only game that "made" me finish it. I hope you don't abandon it and develop it further with more characters and twists. Made this one like a prequel or a playable intro-teaser ;)

Thank you so much, I really glad you think it can become a bigger project, I'll think about that!

WHHHAAAAAATTTT?!?!?!? ok, you guys, you're not serious with that ending, are you? I'm FUMING MAD!

okokok, let's be calm and honest here: you made an insanely beautiful game, super polished, even your website and I had so much fun playing it for over 1 hour, feeling very proud for every little "correct" badge I got.

but BECAUSE everything was so good, i can not even believe that ending. nope. there must be a secret ending or something. i will sent you guys raspberry cupcakes until you change that ending!

jk - you're awesome.
maybe.

also: quadratic games for the win!!!

First of all: this is our favorite comment of all time. We're so so glad you enjoyed the game!

Secondly: we're changing the ending only and exclusively if you send us raspberry cake. No exceptions! >:)

Also I just wanna add that your game is also really really fun! Keep it up! (・∀・)

This is a very polished little game. Well done team!

It took me a little while to figure out what to do and how to do it. Overall, very solid, but a little more direction would have helped in the beginning to help me understand what to do. I almost gave up!

Beautiful sprites and aesthetic. Y'all really knocked it out of the park. Hopefully you got some sleep in there, too!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! A little tutorial is planned for the future, but yeah there are 24 hours in a day and sometimes I like to sleep too. ʕ·ᴥ·ʔ
