One of my favorites so far! The magic stuff is really nice, the character is great and the music choice was a nice fit! Good job!

Wow, I loved this idea! This has a great potential to make some nice levels! Keep up!
Just some tips, the camera always following the character is not so good in a platformer. You cant make it have an offset and follow only after you move the correpond amount.
Some sfx and visual transitions would be apretiated.
For a game jam is great, nice one!
Nice music and unique visuals. I played this on a MacBook Pro in Safari and it was unplayable (maybe <10 FPS and glow effects didn't show up). I tried in Chrome and got a better frame rate but in both browsers my MBP felt like it was about to take off and/or catch fire!
I am curious how you made it launch into full screen when I clicked Run Game! That's something I couldn't make mine do.
Stunning visuals and soothing music made this a very relaxing game experience :) Well made! Took me a little while understanding I had to press F twice to use magic. But after that I had a great time playing this! I was a little sad the game ended after the first level - I wanted to keep playing! :D
Very nice game. I'd have liked to see a few more options for time periods for different things, possibly adding a bit more of a puzzle element, whereas everything just seemed to be quite easy, if something lit up that means you need to change it. I loved the art though, and I love a bit of parallax scrolling!
Hi there, cute platformer game, a nice little mechanic too :) I think it wasn't super obvious when I played that I couldn't grow out the roots of the tree without further upgrading my staff. Also the ending needs a bit of love as someone said, since I wasn't sure if the game froze or I had finished :)
I have a real love/hate relationship with this game.
I love the idea and how you have done it.
I love the music, I love the art.
What I didn't like was how I often felt like I failed a part of the gameplay because it wasn't intuitive.
I mean that I felt that I had to redo things because they didn't work the way I expected them to.
One example is that for some of the jumps after you jump up you can't see where to land. Climbing the ladder just didn't seem to be obvious either. Perhaps after the ladder is made you show a little up arrow? Not sure.
There is some real talent here, but a couple of arggh moments also.
I hope this helps.
Really great looking art. The mechanic where you make a specific part go to a different time is quite nice.
The ending though, I believe there should have been something to indicate that was the end (like a big text fading in saying THE END and a bit of story telling what the end was about), and have the crystals HUD disappear. I mean it is of course obvious that it is the end, but in the beginning I thought it was a transition to a new level, until I realized nothing else happened :-)
Fantastic work though! Short but great :-)
Great job Karhal. I like the art and visuals with combination of music. Firstly I was confused by the tree part when you can just stay next to it, but afterwhile it was pretty smooth. It would be nice to have longer version of the game with more story :)
Thank you!:)
Adding a story directly in the game would be great, also an extension of the level.
Make a better background that is more recognizable from the playground and creates a better atmosphere. Apply the blur effect and play with the light.
There was a plan to make the underground, I also have drawn mushrooms in it, but we had to leave it..
Awesome visuals and ambiance with the audio! Please tell me what to do next, I'm stuck at the top of the very tall tree after the Ladder! I want to keep playing! :)
Really beautiful game, art work and music were really good in this! The game itself was a basic platformer, but I liked the twist with the magic happening. Ending was a bit of a let down, maybe like a small beautiful text story in the end telling you have done something, but otherwise good job! :)
Nice work! As others mentioned, the movement was dizzying. I wonder if it would be better if you applied acceleration/deceleration? Also jumping could help with that as well. There were a couple times where I missed the next platform because I jumped high, really fast. Otherwise, really awesome job! I liked the atmosphere and the timing element. The ending camera shot was really cool too! Only needed "The End" text lol.
As some other people already mentioned, the movement was unusually dizzy, which made jumping from one place to another harder. But apart from controls and camera, the art style and idea are on point! AND especially I loved the music! I think you need to continue working on the game, it seems it can become a really good game after polishing. But for now, still a good job!
There is potential and i like the style , but the moment was really jerky made it hard to play.
Hey, I wasn't able to hear any audio in your game in the HTML version. And to me, the camera felt really dizzy.
I read the description and the story seems cool, and this game has potential. It could use a lot of polish after the jam.
