Sooooo good!!!!!!!
Thanks!
The visuals are super cute, and the concept is nice! I especially loved the adorable crops on the farm—they added a lot of charm to the game.
Thanks!
I love that you have a README and License file (main criteria for open source category). The README is well thought out and I'm enjoying the screenshots.
Graphics are so fun and cute; love it. Music is lovely and chill, fits your game nicely. It'd be great if we can speed up the text on screen. The narrative is great at the start and serves as a good tutorial. It'd be good to see progress (ie. 1/10 plants harvested etc.) so we're not trying to keep track in our head.
Is the game meant to go rather dark? Makes it a little hard to see what's happening. Would be good to have the "Help" or Lila close by to double check what effect each square has on the one next to them. She said she wouldn't be far away so I expected her to pop up with some help; maybe add a "?" under the "!".
Great job overall and really enjoying this game. Good chill vibes.
Thank you so much for the feedback! For the game going rather dark, this is something I wanted to improve on but ended up running out of time. This is tied to a combination of a few of the shaders in the game, when they run at the same time. Likely, the day/night cycle and combined with the storm shader.
Nice game and nice interpretation of the theme! The system is at the beginning not straight forward to figure out and I had to check the description again to find out what I need to plant now. However, as soon as you figured it out it makes sense :). I really liked the quests, as it provides you some more goals to play for than just balancing the elements.
I was not a huge fan of the wobbling effect, as I think it was a bit disturbing for me. Something which also felt a bit strange to me was that you need to click on the crop again to get rid of it and then go into the mode where you harvest. I know there needs to be some transition between these two actions, but maybe it feels more natural if there was a harvest tool you click on to get into the harvest action.
Congratulations to this innovative and cozy game!
PS: I really like your Youtube videos! :)
Thank you so much, and a big thanks for the feedback you provided!
nice pixel graphics game
Thanks!
The pixelart and music is great. Overall a very relaxing game. Nicely done 👌
Thanks!
nice and calm game
This is a nitpick, but it would be nice if clicking showed the full line of text.
I don’t want to skip the dialogue, but slowly appearing text in games always irritates me a little.
And change plants by keyboard like 1,2,3,4
Thanks for the feedback, and those are great suggestions.
The first day was an acid trip :O
Relaxing little farming game. Its hard to see the farm at nighttime though . Good job.
Thanks, and thank you for the feedback!
Really cute little game!
The gameplay felt nice and i liked the art although i do think that the shaders were toned up a bit too much.
Really solid submission good job!
Thank you for the feedback!
Will never say no to a cute little farming game <3
Thanks!
Nice graphics and concept. Welldone.
Thanks!
Excellent use of the theme and graphics. I wasn't a fan of the permanent wobble effect, but the art is really very good. The music was very soothing too. It must have been tough to make the mission system in time. One thing I'd like to see is clearer instructions. I'll play it again now and try to understand why my red meter was getting always so big. Great entry. Well done!
Thank you, and thanks for the feedback!
I like the concept, I think there is a lot of polishing that could be done in terms of UI and what everything actually does. For example if you hover over the carrot it pops up some text explaining what it does.
Thanks for the feedback!
Great concept and fun game! I think the UI could be improved to better clarify how each plant works. Good stuff!
Thanks for the feedback!
Interesting idea. However, the goal is lacking, even the task is optional. It might be better to earn gold to buy seeds and make the balance shift itself over time.
Thank you for the feedback!
Good job! I really like the idea. Nice graphics and music. The shader effects are also cool, but I think for me some of the effects are too much. The gameplay UI, dialogs are well implemented.
Thanks for the feedback!
Good graphics and sound.
Maybe too many shaders?
Thank you for the feedback.
Interesting interpretation of the theme. The graphics are really cute and the visual effects (shaders?) you implemented looks super cool.
The music sounds a bit too epic for the gardening theme thouch. What would have been awesome (I don't think it is the case) would have been implementing dynamic music that adapt to the balance or imbalance of the world (too hot changes the theme etc), but that seems out of the scope of a jam.
The daily objectives don't seem to be reset between days (I hit 'plant 20 seeds' immediately on day 2), and I would have liked a fast forward button to advance quickly when I completed all the objective in a day.
Thank you for sharing your source code, your knowledge of Phaser seems pretty solid!
I really like the idea of adapting the music to adapt to the balance. Thank you so much for the feedback.
