Great writing and a fun twist on common tropes. The various mini-games were enjoyable!

Wow, awesome game! Played, even opened the second ending. It was a lot of fun to play, especially the funny dialogues.

AMAZING, everything looks so polished and well done, the minigames are fun and to top it off there's some really funny dialogue. Phenomenal work!

Awesome game! The art and story really shines here - the style is fantastic & I like how you've interpreted the theme by slipping in cliche's in all of the dialogue and minigames. My only criticism is that the ramp in difficulty is a little off - some minigames would be a little too breezy for easy-hard, and then insanely difficult for the final difficulty.

All in all, fantastic entry from an incredibly talented team!

Developer

thanks for the feedback!

Our goal was for easy/medium to be almost gimmes, hard to maybe give you a handful of fails, and then nightmare to be pretty tough. I'll admit that gets hard to do for the games, especially with the polyomino puzzle game. Timing that one felt bad, but removing the time makes nightmare feel significantly less difficult than other nightmare games.

Liked the hub world. Letting the user choose which games they wanted to play is a good idea. I also liked how Nightmare difficulty isn't unlocked at first. Fishing in Stardew Valley is one of my favorite parts of the whole game, so I liked that you put in yours too! Good job

Classic mini-games presented in a funny, pretty way. I particularly like the fishing game, and that it is a typical thing to do as an adventurer in an RPG and wraps even more cliché into the package. Nice job.

Amazing one! Congrats ! I loved the art, character design, the story, It was very funny and fun! Maybe the mini games are a bit too hard ? Even the easiest levels were sometimes too hard for me ^^ Otherwise, great work, it's super cool!

Developer

Yeah - we tried to make easy and medium difficulties almost gimmes, but still found playtesters occasionally struggled with one category at large. Hopefully you were able to beat enough of the others to see an ending, though! We tried to balance in such a way that you could completely ignore one minigame and still be able to complete the game, but the gauntlet still might have interrupted that.

Great game and story to support and present several mini-games :D!

I loved the dialogue, and story playing from the j-rpg boss perspective hehe

Graphics are very cool, there's even cutscenes so great job! Didn't feel to engaged with the gameplay tho, those minigames are hard to innovate lol. Great twist on the actual story and theme.

Developer

Yeah, with such short loops, it's hard to find a way to meaningfully "innovate" on gameplay without confusing the player with expected conventions for said game. We hoped to nab some innovation points with the overall gameplay arc and the narrative trope subversion (losing levels instead of gaining them in an RPG setting), but you've got a fair assessment.

Thanks for playing and the feedback!

I like the whole concept of this game ! The minigame is tough but kindda satisfying too . nice job!

Great interpretation of the theme, especially love  the introduction of the game. Deserved to be at least top 3 imo.

Got myself down to level 1. :) Although I feel like I just had to get lucky in a few of the nightmare level minigames, they were pretty fun. I got invested in the story, it was kind of adorable. But by far the best part is the visuals! That pixel art is astounding! Great game all around!

Cracking game

Got to level 1 before heading to the gauntlet

I feel like Saliery in the presence of Mozart. It's too good for a game jam, go peddle your wares on Steam.

I like when I have to google feedback, but I did not expect to learn this today

Wow! What a really fun game, so far the best I've played.

Fantastic game! Great idea, fun minigames, really well-balanced, which is a rarity for jam games, amazing art and animation! Just an amazing job, had fun playing :)

Okay wow what a game. Apparently there are multiple endings. Had a blast but I kinda suck under time pressure. Loved it! Good story and writing.
