Love the pixel-retro graphics! Music can be a bit repetitive after a while, but overall fun challenging game
Really cool design! I loved how everything tied into the core idea of stomping on the enemies.
Really good game! Had fun the whole way through. Very simple mechanics that had great level design to explore them. Great job!.
The game did have some performance issues on my computer for some reason (Macbook). Every 1 or 2 minutes, the game would randomly get really choppy for about 2 or 3 seconds.
Played this for quite some time. Definitely can see the Celeste and maybe a little DownWell influence? Music was great, liked the effects when you die. Got to the point where I was worried I was going to break my keyboard. Definitely going to come back to this one. Nice job!
There is hardly anything more cliché than a platformer with double jumping and dashing. :))) Although I could not identify how to beat the back&forth level, the rest was sufficiently challenging. Assets fit the theme well too. Great work!
If you are talking about the level where you bounce on the enemy across the level and then back: You need to make it all the way to the right without using up all the enemies along the way, collect the dash powerup, use the rest of the enemies to go back to the left, and use the dash powerup to get through the tight space with the spikes blocking the goal. Thanks for playing my game, cheers!
The movement feels very precise and solid, makes the game look very polished! The looks and sound go together very well. Nice game!
Hallo,
Thank you for sharing your game. I’ve already saved its RATING;
1. verified: GAME due to observed your team to have also verified “Neon Square: Resurgence”
2. notes: noticeable background musical tune, albeit the sound for COMMANDS, e.g. JUMP, appear to be that of select Family Computer games, e.g. Super Mario Bros; Please correct my understanding IF WRONG
3. shares: self to prefer a variation of the CONTROLS, where: instead of arrow keys, uses left part of the keyboard, e.g. W for UP, S for DOWN, A for LEFT, D for RIGHT, to execute MOVEMENT
4. observed: increase of additional, new COMMANDS to cause self to continue to PLAY to increase know-how to be used in created WORLD
5. observed: however, DASH COMMAND to be NOT executable after its 1st execution; adds, SCREENSHOT COMMAND via SHIFT + S + Command on MacBookPro to also NOT anymore execute
Thank you. Health!
Amazing work on this! It's very polished, has tight mechanics, creative level design and I love the cute characters and audio. Great job!
Wow Diego! This is my favorite game of the Jam!
It is super cool! And I really like that type of art for the graphics.
I guess I would have liked a bit more of control on the left & right movement of the character, because it is a bit too difficult.
I wonder where you are from. Your name sounds latino. I am from México.
Seriously, congrats! Pretty cool game! Gonna save it! 5 stars!

Mashup of Manic Miner and Celeste? I really liked the level design and how mechanics mix together, especially in the last level, wow. I don't know what's the theme interpretation, but I don't care, just give twenty more levels, please. And made in Godot? Will take a look at the code later. Good job!
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! My original plan was to have unlockable challenge levels (think Celeste B-Sides) to give more to those that wanted an extra challenge. But alas, time constraints... Feel free to look at the Godot project! It's my second time working with Godot, and it's a bit of a mess in there (I really rushed it and hacked things together near the end), but if you have questions about it, I am happy to provide answers. Thanks for playing my entry!
Woah, what a challenge. Definitely getting mad Celeste vibes and I love it. The level where you had to essentially ride on the helmet guy nearly cause me to throw my keyboard across the room, but what a rush when I actually beat it haha.
Great job!
That second last level is tough. Really well done had a great time.
Fun platformer! I didn't make it to the end but it's obvious you put a lot of care into making the mechanics feel satisfying, the art and music are a great fit as well. Reminds me of Celeste and Shovel Knight, very polished experience.
Well executed platformer with a very good tutorial that teaches you things as you go along.
I do wish the graphics weren't totally black and white as that is a really stark contrast and kinda hurts the eyes (at least for me). Just a shade darker white and lighter black would be more pleasing on the eyes.
Nonetheless, a great submission !
Thank you for the feedback. In hindsight, I would have made the black and white colors into something that is still contrasting but a little more pleasing to the eyes, but I didn't want to remake all the sprites. My plan was to use a shader to remedy this and even let the player configure the colors themselves, but alas, it wasn't the highest priority and didn't make the cut. Thank you for playing!
Great entry!!! It's pretty hard to make an efficient platformer in a game jam, and yours works pretty well! The only thing I think could be improved is the dash input as "shift". You have to have a big hand to have a finger on the shift key and another on the space bar :p
Otherwise, great game, with cool mechanics, nice music and art, congrats!
I like the simplicity of it, and you really nailed the level design. Levels were fun to play, completed all of them (though I died 175 times in the process).
Also great job with affordance in the design of your enemies!
