The game has great level design. The idea of using famous musicians was great, the arrangements in this game are excellent, and the cut scenes were well executed. I only had a few bugs, but nothing too big.

Thank you, I really like the many comments, that's actually why we do it, so you can kill a few minutes with it and cheer it up.

What a great puzzle game. It is so well realized. Took me a bit to get how things were working (especially rotating arrow when you are not picking them up) but once it clicks, you can really loose yourself in it. Fantastic work !

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. Just as logical as yours. Poor penguin, how can he handle a whole bear. :)

What an interesting concept. Took me a moment to figure out how everything works. But once it clicked, it was a lot of fun. Great conversion of the music. It's really impressive how faithful to the original you managed to get with only 3 notes at the same time. Also the composers' portraits look great. Each of them is well recognizable. Also amazing how many levels you managed to create in just a week. Great job! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much, actually, since the basic concept was there, with 1-2 changes, most of the levels are just copy/paste, but I do something every week, I'm still waiting for the results, because the release of my new game depends on it. You also created a great one, it's in my TOP3!

Submitted

Thank you so much 🙏

Why does the release of your new game depend on the results?

Developer

Because I thought that there would be a TOP list (similar to 1985) and I would burn the creators who were in the first 3 places, thus paying tribute to them. It's just that the top list is 3 characters long, so I hope someone with a 3-letter abbreviation wins. If the first three won't be those with three-character names, I'll get creative. :) For example, if you win (which I think has a high chance), then Playinstinct can be PIT.

The competition is really strong this year. There are 10-20 games which I could see win the jam, including yours. So I am awaiting the results with a lot of suspense. Paying tribute to the three winners in a top 3 list is a really nice idea 🤩

Really nifty puzzle game. I love the ZX Spectrum-style graphics. Definitely a blast of color that makes the most of the GBC!

The musical theme is great. I actually have a classical-music multi-Game Boy project called The Dorothy Matrix 8-Bit Orchestra. So I'm all in on your classical theme and soundtrack!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your comment. How good, I have not seen anything like it before. It's really cool when you conduct the music as a conductor. It's a bit futuristic.

i am such a sucker for classical music: i loved this game to bits!! i am very bad at puzzle games, but i will not count that against the rating haha - i also loved seeing this game on stream - wonderful job, and thank you so much for sharing this game!!!

What an experience! I love the gameplay and the mechanics! This is all well thought out. Kudo's! And excellent music of course. The graphics are nice and old timey and remind me of old DOS games I used to play >25 years ago.

Developer

Thnak You!  How old we are that DOS really existed then. Time passes.

Gameplay is definitely original, and encourages a kind of an iterative approach to solving puzzles.
Music/Sound is used very well.

Lvl 05 2nd/3rd Attempts had a bug btw.
2nd Attempt it would pass through the arrow block when the level was reset, if I picked it up, moved it, and moved it back, it would work, until the level was reset again, which was a fair amount, because the timing was challenging.
3rd Attempt wouldn't let me start until I moved, and moved back an arrow piece after restart.

Really nice submission.

Developer

Tthank you very much for the signal. I'll check the given level, I'm sorry that this happened to you. I look it up in the system.

Developer(+1)

It was a completely legitimate observation, unfortunately I forgot to reset a value. However, there was another bug that I fixed, so that when the level was over and the happy music was playing, you could still reset it. :) The good version will be up after the competition. Thanks again for your signal.

This is a great concept, and as usual, very well executed. Great job!

Thank you very much for your support. I make the music by converting an existing sheet music into chip music. It's difficult, but it often works out well.

I love the look and style of the game. The puzzle is beating me at the moment, but I want to master this.

It's so rare when we come across games like this, thank you so much for the experience, I would never have listened to Beethoven or Chopin in chip music. :)

I got as far as Mozart for the moment, and I really like the challenge of this puzzle game, I'll come back to it after rating the other games of the Jam! (thanks for the DMG specific screen by the way).

Developer(+1)

I thank you for the comment, it's great that there is a photo of it. :) the best thing is that you can return to where you left off at any time, so the challenge will also be friendly. :)

Fun concept, with a lot of good brain twisters. Really wasn't a fan of the timing challenges though.

Developer

Thank you very much for your opinion. I had to add some challenge to it and I thought it would be good. :)
