I really like the perspective here! Very unique! The gameplay is also very simple. I like how the green orbs kill so many bullets. Great job!

The visual layout was unique, loved the psuedo-3D look and feel!
The artwork and music was quite nice as well. Awesome job!

Really cool take on the topic! I like the risk reward gameplay but I found also the green orbs make it pretty easy killing all around bullets and giving you HP. Love the graphics and perspective! Gave you a nice rating! If you like to check out our game too! :)

Great use of perspective. very smooth gameplay. Feels like could need more mechanics.
But that art style is 100% lit!

I really enjoyed the game. The art style is fantastic and I love the way the camera rotates when you move around.

Hello! 👋

Overall: ✨ Wow, this was a really fun game, one of the top ones for sure! It seems like you and your team spent a lot of time on the game mechanics and making the player loop fun. I definitely had a blast playing this one. Great job overall!

Fun: 🎉 The game was engaging, and the mechanics were well thought out. However, there were so many health orbs that spawned, making the gage bar mechanic sometimes unnecessary. Balancing that would improve the game even more.

Visual: 🎨 The visuals were very neat, and the perspective was perfect for what you were going for. Loved the animations for the player when moving, nice touch.

Audio: 🎶 The sounds were good, and the music was perfect for the game pace.

Theme: 📚 I was not sure how the theme of "consequences" was implemented. I finished the game but might have missed the theme or just didn't understand it.

Other feedback: Balancing the health orbs would enhance the gameplay experience.

Fantastic submission! 👏

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the feedback :)

There's no team or anything lol. It's just me ( although I didn't make the music. Got that online )

As for the theme, the orange and green bullets spawned from your shooting, so the idea was that you had to clear them with the green bullets and special attack, or you'd get overwhelmed

Submitted(+1)

Oh I see, so the consequence of shooting is having to "pick up after yourself". :D I do like that take on the theme! Fantastic work again!

This is a great entry: the 3d perspective is implemented well here, with the visuals and audio design all coming together in this. My only critique is one that others have mentioned: the boss needs a health bar to give feedback to the player if what they are doing is worthwhile or not. Well done on this polished game

The camera flows smoothly and the boss is great!
The main mechanic healing you is a bit abusable
Also the one pattern that shoots at the sides and tries to trap you , with a little cost can be basically ignored which i found by accident.
Still very cool , there's not many 3d entries in this jam and this seems the most polished of those i played so far

The early gameplay is a little bit too simple for me, but when the later phases happen it really comes into it's own, gameplay and artistically. The whole thing has a fine bullethell appeal to it that really makes it, a cut above the rest.

I loved your game! I noticed that it was very challenging to have a good isometric camera. I think you crushed it with the angle and perspective 2.5D design. Not to mention the amazing sound design and visuals! Such a simple concept but executed with a great level of polish. Nice job!

This one was incredibly fun to play, I am a sucker for 2D in 3D spaces as it creates interesting moment-to-moment gameplay. Game feel is the big highlight for me here so awesome entry!

Pretty solid game all in all. The perspective and the healing bullets made me think of Furi.

Perspective felt a bit unusual, but didn't take long to get used to. Player and bullet hitboxes felt very comfortable. Only one real complaint:

- Special move just copies the behavior of green bullets, sending shots back at the boss and healing you. Felt a bit detrimental to use - has a delay before activating, and you have to let go of the shot button which reduces your DPS. Why not let it reflect purples too, to make it more distinct and practical?

The rest are nitpicks:
- Using J/K/L for abilities wasn't very comfortable. I wish there was a way to use Z/X/C/V, either as an alternate control scheme or by letting the player remap keys.
- Final pattern of the boss can be cheesed by walking to the empty space to the left/right, you won't have to dodge any purple bullets at the cost of some (easily replenishable) health. I suggest making it shoot to the sides in addition to the middle.
- Not seeing the boss' health kind of diminished from the bullet reflection mechanic of greens and special, I didn't even realize those bullets deal damage until after my first play. I would suggest adding a boss bar for this reason.

Not much else to add really. Solid level of quality for a 10 day game. Congrats on finishing the jam!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback :)

Tbh I thought I ensured that the final pattern kills you quickly if you try to move to the left or right, but I guess I got to check again lol

And the super doesn't reflect purple bullets as well because the game becomes way too easy then.

It's more a of a tool to use when there's no green bullets around, or if you desperately need health

Love the perspective and the miniature aspect of the game

Really cool concept and perspective !

I dig the 3D/2D blend on display here, the player mech’s design is also pretty rad. The tune is a banger and really fits the hectic action on screen as well.

The bullet capture mechanic is quite good once you get the hang of it, and hitting a green bullet just at the right time to clear a tough pattern is also quite satisfying.

If i had only one tiny nitpick is that the boss lacks a bit of feedback on hits and i have no idea if there was still a long way to go or not to defeat him, i think displaying his hp would be a cool addition.

Other than that great entry and i’ve had quite some fun playing it, well done :)

Feels great to play, super fun combination of mechanics and very readable visual style.

Really cool! Love the non-orthographic camera here! And the health orb consumption chain reaction is really cool! Great game!

Submitted(+1)

congrats on finishing the jam! such a cool game overall! idea is good and audiovisual side is consistent. just wish a tiny bit of feedback on, eg. when you got the meter full. but as said: overall GOOD! great job!!

Awesome style, as always. That the main shot is directly affecting how much you are having to dodge is brilliant, and that then you can return those bullets is perfect. I think the player sfx could do better, and some of the graphics as well (except the player, the player is awesome). Regardless, gameplay-wise is fun, and I think that hold the most weight for me.

Fun gameplay, the risk/reward system of accumulating bullets to throw back, as well as either focusing on getting green shots or just dodging is very interesting!
