The Trial was the level I originally designed,as it was meant to be a pure rage game. But I then found the jump from “intro” to “trial” was so overwhemling, I added the tutorial levels to try and soften that initial shock when you see the daunting level.

I do intend to add lots more levels and organise them in difficulty, so that should be mitigated in the future. As for that last section… it was both the easist section until I moved the the moving saw up slightly so it covered both below and above sections of the wall… then it became infuriatingly difficult. So… mission accomplished? XD

As for the music, it is set on a loop, but when I deployed and put it on Itch, for some reason, the loop doesn’t work, and I ran out of time to even try and fix it :(

Thanks for the feedback!

It wasn’t exactly… riviting. I’ve just replayed it, and yeah, the gameplay was lacking. Maybe if you added a timer to add some tension?

This would probably be great if it was part of a bigger game - and there was an overaching story or game that you were following.

i.e. more time spent working, more money, but less time with family, more issues - gives you a reason to step into the shady stuff, but if you do, that might have ramifications on your personal and family life

A great take on the “guide” theme while being simple to understand. The music has a great score and is really at odds with messages like “your family is alive” XD Good work!

Great little game! The pathing guide was great, and being able to just get through the rocks was a nice bonus! Art and music were good. Good work!

A really cute dungeon crawler game - the art style was good, the audio was great, and I died quite a few times. The combat style just didn’t work for me… I’m just a bad player! XD The theme… was stretched somewhat. The firefly didn’t really do any guiding. Still, it was a fun solid entry. Nice one!

Wow, this has blown me away with the art and care gone into this game! Incredible work for such a short time! A great take on “guide”, and the music was audio was just as much as part of the experience. Well done!

This is a very unique take on “guide”! I like it, even though my memory is shocking! XD The art and music were good, and the theme was bang on point. Well done!

Excellent use of the theme “guide” here. Everything was nice and simple, but I have no idea how long you have to keep them safe for - a goal would have been good, or a timer to see a high score for length of keeping kids safe. All in all, a fun entry!

This is a gorgeous game - love the art work here! The music was good, though a bit repetitive. The game play was good, though somewhat confusing on where you should and shouldn’t go. I went behind the portal area to see if there were any souls there and I started losing health for no apparent reason. Great game, tying in the theme of “guide” nicely.

a good puzzler - having to guide the characters and keeping them organised was a pain, but I think that was more from the button on screen - if I could have pressed space or something to toggle between states, that would have helped with the experience immensely! Audio and art were good and the theme was on point - excellent work!

I like interesting puzzles! The graphics are clear and clean, and the guiding theme is on point. Only downside is lack of audio, which really would have added to this game! Great job!

I have to say this first: audio VOLUME. It was WAY to loud! I ended up minimising the volume and even that sounds distorted. Right, now that is out of the way, good idea for the game, graphics were okay and I can see the theme - so good job ticking all the boxes! For future, you could add in more obstacles to make it trickier to get to the goal, or optional things to collect for a higher score. All in all, a great first entry!

A fun platformer that kept me going until the end. Excellent variety of music tracks, though some sfx would have been nice to add that extra immersion depth. The art was good as well. As for the theme… I don’t know what part of guide was there, but it was a solid game that I enjoyed playing.

I loved this little puzzler! The simplicity of it and the sandbox nature allows for a variety of solutions - and that is a great plus. Good use of art and audio, and the theme is on point - great work!

Cute little level… though no idea why then fairy wanted to stay over a skeleton! Good “guide” idea having the fairy lead you the way around, but it did make the game a bit short. The art was excellent and the audio was good. Excellent work!

I like the concept, but I found that just going max speed I hit most stuff and never died. I waited till I got over 2500m but it just kept on going. Health & fuel regenerating, coins going up… just a never ending story :) Still, a good entry, nice one!

It’s a pity this wasn’t finished, this looks very promising! Nice art and sound, and the theme was completely on point… but there wasn’t really much to do. I have no idea how to pick up the object or have the human get it, so I assume it wasn’t implemented. Good work with what you managed to get out :)

great idea! I think with some classic “wakka wakka” sound effects it would really add to this! The only thing that really stands out as an issue is if the fruit spawn too close to the edges - you can’t jump as there is no space, but other than that, good job!

Great platform puzzler! Music was nice as were the graphics. The addition of the cookies for additional challenge was also great - nice one!

Great background music - it adds to the atmosphere! Game play was simple enough, though it was lacking in suspense or goal. Add enemies and/or a leaderboard and it would be great :)

Love the art and sound! A solid game play experience, but I have no idea how the theme fits in. Good work!

This is a good core game mechanic, and it would be great to see it extended further - things to miss, speed increases, leaderboards.

Nice puzzler! Good work on this!

This was a fun one! Without that difficulty slider I would have had no idea what to do - good call in including it! Guiding the people and taking pictures - wow, what a combo! Good entry!

I like the tutorial and the game, but the theme was a tad stretched! XD Still it looked great and the music was good. Nice one!

This was just good fun - good call in having a leaderboard for that extra competitive spirit!

An action puzzler - I like it! The thing that game me issues were things that didn’t slide off, they would move 1 square and then not move again until I hit them from a different side. A good solid entry!

(1 edit)

I like the concept but the controlling of the orb… the control just feel sluggish and slow to respond. Couple that with it being reset in position… it’s a tad annoying. Still, an excellent concept and I can see what you were going for in this platofrm puzzler - good job!

I really love the retro console style asthetic! A simple game that you can really power level up on. I played up to level 13 with 155 jellyfish. And it’s insane with them all bouncing around as you disperse them :D I noted it also lags a bit with so many jellyfish XD A solid enjoyable game! Well done!

A neat game, though I have no idea how to avoid the bears, I keep triggering them XD

Dark humour approved XD

I do love a good dungeon/labrinth maze :) What do the blue potions do? They didn’t seem to do anything. It has been mentioned before, but being able to kill monsters on the other sides of walls made the game too easy. Also, I think the speed of the Knight could have been a bit faster. On the whole, a good solid entry!

Nice little guiding game! It quickly ramps up with difficulty - having to decide what to remove and what to leave for movement. Good job!

In interesting game. I normally think of hex grids as board games, so seeing it here is refreshing!

I found the controls unintuitive on a hex grid, and kept defaulting to the 4 cardinal directions.

Also, I had to play by myself, so any sort of tension was a bit lacking, though that’s on my side and not to do with you - I can see this being a fun game with someone else.

The audio and art are wonderful - great work on this!

Good idea with the collecting souls to guide them.

Good job!

I like this concept - a timer or goal would go a long way for this game, but it really does focus on the theme of Guide.

This is a great puzzler - the offset designs and the tandem movement is a great mind bender :) Nice job!

This is a fantastic tricky puzzler - things didn’t click for me until I realised I had to move my character with the pushing of blocks, otherwise puzzles were impossible. Spent waaaay to long on a puzzle until I realised that! XD Good job!

I really liked this! I think something else that could be added to this, which could extend the end game, would be goods transport. An alien craving Thorix spice or such things, which would also flesh out the guidebook. Nice, simple and effective game! Well done 👍

I guess you are running away from the bear, but when I run and everyone follows, it gets so far and then I get reset with the group a few times and even though everyone is there, I then get “people dead”. Bug? Or have I completely missed the game play here?
