Super original graphics and layout. It looks like you put a lot of love in this. The "Are you sure" button is genius. Never let them go. A suggest offering double the bullets or tripple the speed if players stay
+1 for the Exit button haha. Really good looking and interesting graphics! A bit confusing gameplay but once everything clicked, it runs smoothly. Gave you a nice rating! If you like to check out our game too! :)
Awesome gameplay, was confused a bit by how it worked, I thought it was charging something because of the tutorial, but once you understand it's very fun. I appreciate the design a lot, and it feels like everything was made with the player's limitations in mind, really great work.
Great theme, music, and gameplay!
- Minimalistic but design of the game - cool!
- Gameplay was on point, pace wasn't to fast/to slow - was perfect
- Great charge mechanic!
- Good music, sfx
As a short feedback i think tutorial was a bit tricky to understand.
Very solid entry, i think you made great job!
Pretty fun concept, the mechanics are a bit unclear at first though even with the tutorial thing.
However once it clicks it’s a really fun system to use and sorta forces you to be careful with your shots to not overextend yourself and get dammage accidentally.
The artstyle is quite cool, those abstract ships have some interesting designs and the b&w aesthetic works well with it.
The music is also really good.
overall quite a fun entry, well done :)
I really like the charge mechanic. I also really appreciate how you designed the game around it. A lot of the enemies stayed in place long enough to actually be able to line up your charge shot with them. It's really nice to see when level design is made very intentionally with the gameplay instead of just just slapping a gimmick on top of a generic schmup.
Thank you for commenting
I'm glad you liked the level design, it's the thing that took me the most time in development so i'm happy somebody commented on it specifically
This looks awesome from the screenshots but unfortunately I'm not on PC :( I know not all game engines can export to web but if that's something you're able to do in the future I bet you'd get a lot of interested people playing!
I'm really sorry , unfortunately the engine i use does not support web exporting as far as i'm aware
I found the mechanics quite interesting. At first, it took me a bit to understand, but once everything clicked, it flowed smoothly. The waves and patterns are very intriguing, and I found the visual style quite original. The music and sound effects also complemented the experience nicely. Overall, a lot of fun to play. Congratulations
Hey , thanks for the comment!
I fully expected the tutorial to confuse people a little as it was the last thing i made in quite a rush, good job on getting a hang of the mechanic!
"YOU WIN! FINAL SCORE : 12457"
It took me some time to understand and then apprehend the charge mechanic (I did not realize you get to deal melee damage for several runs) but when I got it I loved it to the point this is probably my favourite game of the jam so far.
I love everything about the game. The visuals, sound and music are very nice, the controls feels great and the game is super punchy. Not only the boss fights are great but basically all the sequences from the beginning to the end are super fun to deal with. You get to plan your route as you replay, when you get to get close to the bosses, ect., while adapting and dodging more bullets than you planned (what you planned is often none in the perfect case, but in practice you will often have to deal with many more) when you did not time your charges properly is super fun too. The difficulty is exactly as I like it to be.
That's an amazing entry, thanks for sharing.
Thank you! glad you like the game
The tutorial was definetly the worst of it , i'm glad you found out how to use the melee weapon despite that
Wow, visuals and music are wonderful (only menu is ugly and hard to read)! Gameplay is good, but some things you should improve:
1. Maybe I'm old but I was confused and my eyes was in pain because of the fast background sliding
2. At the start I was confused by the clouds, I tried to avoid them because they spawned and moved fast like some obstacle
3. I was confused by this tunnel at the center, I thought that this is a space where I can only fly (later I noticed that I can fly to the side borders of the screen)
4. I understand this small hitbox mechanics, it gives to the player more space to avoid bullets, but in my case it was confusing because I always tried to avoid bullets from hitting whole plane, not only the core
Thank you so much for the critique, i'll keep what you said in mind as i didn't even realize (especially the bit about the tunnel and clouds)
besides the tutorial being a bit incomprehensible at first this game feels like i got it off of steam for like pretty cheap on steam sale after the game had been up for like 5 years. still really good, i just dont understand what the escape menu is and there could be more sound effects. also im bad and couldnt beat it lol
