Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Everything was made during the jam.

Its a difficult one if I may say so, the hit boxes are not very forgiving.
I love the character design though. I noticed you can use the peak of your helmet to hang onto ledges, would love to hear if that was intentional or not, or just a side effect of the character design.
Thanks for playing! It was intentional ^ ^
Nice little game, and I really like how you combined the platforming with the rewind ability. The controls could be improved by not having the rewind button on the same hand as the movement. And the hitboxes seem quite punishing sometimes, but the levels are short and the reload is fast, so it doesn't feel frustrating. Actually often the reload is too fast, so the knight still reacts to buttons pressed before he died, which usually means you die again right away. Maybe taking player control away for a second before the respawned knight can move again could help adjusting that.
But overall great job. Would love to have your guys' feedback on my entry as well. It's only my second game ever, so notes are highly appreciated.
Thanks for the feedback, to be honest, the game was going to be a troll game with 1 level, and only in the last 5 hours we made the rest of the levels. And aren't you participating in the Miz jam? I also remember you from the GMTK Jam 2020 if I'm not mistaking. I will definitely take a look at your entry :)
haha yeah that's right. I'm trying to get as much experience as possible right now, since I'm still new to this. Probably have to take a little jam break though after Miz. All (soon) three games need proper bugfixing and I also have to focus on some non-gamedev projects. Difficult to manage time for everything you wanna do, when you also have a full-time job...
Great idea, fun game, but too much difficult. The colliders of the enemies seems greater than the sprites. It makes the game more difficult.
Simple but fun. I liked how you have to simultaneously jump and move whilst using the rewind key. This makes for quite a challenge, which is always appreciated.
Also, nice art design and soundtrack.
Rewinding to make obstacles go away is simple, but fun with your level design. When it was over, I was hoping for me. I'm a WASD-user, so it took me a little time to adjust to arrow keys (I found it too hard to move and rewind at the same time with WASD). When using WASD, my right hand is completely free. If I have it over R, it blocks WASD and jump. Maybe The mouse button or enter or < could have been used to rewind as well?
Good game but it's on the difficult side
The movement could be snapier, but I liked the idea! Congratulations
This is pretty good game for less than 48 hours! I enjoyed the challenge but I think the difficulty curve is a bit steep. Maybe have a couple of easier levels at the beginner to get the player used to the controls. Still fits the theme really well and is a good concept! I hope you keep working on it after the jam :)
Nice. The controlls are a bit wierd tho.
Neat soundtrack. Great job for 48 hours of work!
Very cool. Beautiful art and nice sound.
After learning the gameplay it is challenging to go through the levels.
Good job.
I made it to the end! Took longer than I would are to admit, but I did it! You can jump super super high if you press space a lot of times when you're against a wall :D :D
Cool concept. I just the found the controlls a bit to hard to use. But overall is a good game
Very cool game. Sometimes it was difficult for me to hold down r as well as input all my wasd movements, but it was fun
Nice game. Tough at times, mostly due to collisions, but overall, well done!
I appreciated the artstyle, the music could've used some work and the collisions felt disatisfying in that it felt somewhat unfair that you would die as soon as one pixel of the spikes showed. Otherwise good effort for 48 hours!
Nice game! I guess my problem is that some enemies moves way to fast and because of the controls it's easy to mess up. Still, a really cool game!
This was a short fun game you did amazing on! The only thing I could suggest is starting all the obstacles re-winded, it might make it a bit easier to see what is going to rewind and make it more tutorial-esc for the beginning.
Amazing just AMAZING given that you created this in 48 hours. I liked that rewinding time affects your surrounding but not you. A bit more time to make a tutorial and some work in the audio department and you would be good to go.
Also could you please rate my game too? I would be very happy if you did.
The game is pretty hard, since you the amount of time you gat after rewinding is pretty small, and because of that you have to move while rewinding, which because of the key arrangment chosen it's pretty hard to do... The levels solution isn't hard to figure it out either, the main problem comes trought execution...
Overall a pretty good game, especially for a game done in less than 48hrs... 😃
