Made it to the boss. Cool game. Couldn't tell the difference between enemies in terms of how one would kill you. I just kept running trying to make it to the next scene.

Shooting mechanic made this real hard.

All in all it was fun. Great job!

Could you also play and rate my game too?

Thank you for the feedback! Definitely agree that the shooting needs a rework, and that's probably one of my first priorities post-jam! I probably will also add a little bit more context for the enemies. I'll definitely try your game out, thanks for playing!

Thanks! Did you get a chance to play mine? What did you think?

Developer

Sorry it took so long! I downloaded it and then forgot to actually play the game! :P I just finished playing it and I really enjoyed! I left a longer comment with more feedback on your page if you are interested!

Pretty cool idea! Would be great to have some effects :). like sounds effects and also some way to allow player to know they are being hit! maybe a screen shake :D

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Sound is definitely my next priority. I hadn't thought about other effects like screen shake, but that's a great idea, thanks!

Really good game! The idea is so cool and the game built around it is very well done. I like a lot the artwork and maybe music would be a great addition.

Currently the player gets stuck in walls and can also just rush all the way to the bossfight without having to deal with enemies. Maybe only being able to leave a room when all enemies have died would be a good way to control that.

Still, really good entry, I enjoyed a lot playing your game. Good job, keep it up!

Also would highly appreciate if you could checck out and rate my game, thanks :)

Awesome take on the theme! The small, red skeletons gave me a real spook when I first saw them rushing towards me xD

Audio would be an awesome addition when the rating period is over.  If the red skeletons already got my blood pumping, then audio would make it even more exciting.

Also, I noticed some of your green skeletons get stuck on the walls when they ran into them. Some of them were able to get themselves out but others remained stuck!

Overall, congrats on your first full game! I had a lot of fun :)

Developer

Thank you for playing and the awesome feedback! I'm definitely going to add audio first thing post-jam. The green guys are definitely still SUPER glitchy, but I ran out of time to fix that and will hopefully return to that after ratings. Thanks again!

Took a bit to get used to, but clever idea :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I definitely agree that the gameplay is hard to get used to, and will probably try to fix it up post-jam!

Yo’ Templar here,
The concept is interesting, both the bullets and movement being in reverse works great for the theme, but there are a few things to note:

  • The bullets seem to follow the player, even through walls at time.
  • Some enemies (The green ones as far as I can tell) sometimes go through walls and outside the map.
  • The lack of a clear objective makes the game hollow.
Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! The shooting and green enemies are both still SUPER glitchy, but hopefully I can get them fixed post-jam. I hadn't really thought about putting a more clear objective but that is a great idea!

Unique concept and congrats on making your first full game! If you add a little bit of sound, a small objective or score, it would make the game so much more fun with all the blasting that's going on! Good job and it was fun to play :)

Developer

Thank you for playing and the feedback :)! sound is definitely next on my list of things to add!

We love your concept. Actually, we tried to do a similar thing, but instead of firing you just catch your own bullets. Its pretty interesting the difference in game play you get when your in control. Maybe you could check out our version too! Overall, a lot of fun to run through :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! I tried yours and really enjoyed it as well! It was super interesting to see a similar game to mine taken in a different direction with a WHOLE lot more polish

Great concept! It was really fun to find out how exactly the bullets work and that even the enemies bullets where reversed and chests are build when you shoot at the wooden scraps. Love take on the theme!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and kind words! :)

Pretty unique mechanic. Consistent artwork as well

Developer

Thanks for playing and feedback!

Took me some time to realize that everything was happening in reverse. Fun game. Aiming is quite funky though. Also next time don't forget to add atleast some simple sound effects.

Developer

Thanks for playing! There was a controls/story screen originally, but on webGL it skips past it right away and I didn't have time to fix it before submissions were due. Music and sound effects are definitely my next focus! Thank you for your feedback!

The idea of calling the bullet back instead of shooting it is genius, but the controls are hard. Also, some sound would be nice, but great first game!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Sound and improving aiming are definitely my first priorities post-jam. Thanks again for playing!

That's a great idea for the game but it needs some polishing.
I suggest you put some doors and let player go to next room once the current room is clear.
Also as others mentioned, a mouse control would be really cool.

Keep up the good work :->

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely agree doors would be a great idea, thanks!

I like the pixel art style.  Having different type of enemies in the game is a good addition.  However, the game is missing sound effects and music.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I agree that the game definitely needs some music, but ran out of time to make it :/

Submitted

I really liked the game. Very fun. Indeed a little clunky, but overall I has fun :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm hoping to be able to polish it up and try and make it more clean after the jam, I definitely agree that it needs it!

Submitted

I like the idea and the art but it is hard to play :)

Developer(+1)

I agree, it definitely needs some reworking. Thanks for playing!

Submitted

Really fun game! A little difficult to aim and tell where bullets are going to come from (player/enemy), but I really like the concept!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The enemy targeting was still super glitchy when I uploaded, but I'm hoping to fix it later on sometime.

Submitted

Really fun if it would let you aim with the mouse. Still an interesting concept, though. With sound, and post processing, it could be a pretty polished game. Great job on making a creative mechanic!

Developer

I agree, I realized too late to add it that it would be way better with mouse aim :/

Submitted(+1)

Good idea! It wasn't executed the best. I feel like aiming could have been done with the mouse, and there weren't any audio cues, but I felt it was interesting. Would like to see an updated version!

Developer(+1)

Agreed, Music and mouse aiming were two things I knew I should've added but ran out of time :/
