once I got what you had to do, the game was really awesome.  At first I thought the arrow keys were optional rather than necessary for mechanics.  Keep it up!

Really cool Idea! It's like merging a 2D fight game with a platformer, it's neat and interesting mechanic, though the rewind isn't so important in the game, because it only happens when you finish a level. Anyway it's a cool and nice game!

One of the most original ideas i've seen. The fact that your movement is tied to some fighting-game-like combos it's really cool. Both music and visuals serve well their purpose, but the theme implementation is a bit weak. I think you should explain much better the fact that the "combos" transfer from the previous levels and that you can even "reverse" them: in the second level, I didn't know how to kill Dave, and in the description I didn't find anything helpful, and only looking at the comments in this page i finally understood what I had to do. It may seem obvious to you, but it's not really intuitive. After that, it was really tough but enjoyable: in the end I died 36 times

Thanks for your detailed feedback. I think it was my mistake that I haven’t explained the combo mechanic so well. I thought that if the player was trying many times he would understand that hidden thing but it was not at all. About the theme: Well, the main idea was the combo system but there was the rule so I suggested that trick to fit the rule as well. Originaly it was just a daily challenge I was failed (there are only 8 gifs instead of 3000 💩)

Definitely one of my favourite games submitted to this jam! My only suggestion would be to incorporate the rewind into the gameplay, since atm it's nothing more than a cutscene

Still, amazing game, loved everything about it!

I had a blast playing this game! Only thing I can say is that the theme may not be super present in the gameplay, but apart from that I loved it! Would love to play a full version if you ever do one!

The game is good but i don't really know what to do to progress to the next levels, i went past 1 and 2 but idk what to do next.Good job tough!

I'm not sure if its just me but I got stuck at the second level, I got past the obstacles but got frustrated at what to do then. Anyway, the game concept is very interesting, but I feel like the graphics could've been improved. Good job!

This was pretty fun. A little floaty at points, it'd probably feel a little better with a shorter heavier jump. But it felt amazing to input combos midway through the air. Overall really neat idea executed well enough.

I tried pressing every button when i reached guy at the end but nothing happened :D

You have to kill him without dying by the saw, when you reach Dave you should slash him from right to left with <<<<

You cannot reach the level 2 without killing the DAVE on the level 1. Is there a bug?
