This was incredibly cute and fun! I loved the sound effects and music, and the visual designs were really clean and charismatic for the tone of the game! I also loved that when you restarted the character would go "...again...?" Very charming.

It did run a bit slow on my computer (in browser) but that may have just been the fault of my laptop. In any case, really well done!

loved how the camera moves towards the character, the controls are very reactive, great visuals the camera effect is very well done, clever puzzle and very cool fight mechanic, great game would have liked to see more usages of the mechanics, great game!

Great idea and it was original. problem was i thinik you should focus more on battle that was original than just simple box pushing puzzles that everyone has seen. And also pushing boxes was laggy.

Incredibly good art for a jam game! music is good. overall highly polished. good job!

Amazing. Simply amazing. You nailed the art style, and it shows just how much you paid attention to even the smallest details. The music suits the game perfectly too. Well done! Keep on the good work!

Execellent camera effects and art! Nice game

Hi Pip! This one has a really pretty pixel art! The floaty camera over top adds to the atmosphere, and I also liked the way the character falls stiff when the soul leaves to protect you. Pretty unique take on the Rewind theme, and overall pretty fun! I had a few issues in the puzzle wing with mechanics. Boxes would get snagged up against walls and, in one case, I couldn't get to the goal switch. Very cool game!

Developer

yeah. The puzzle section was the bane of my existence. XD
It used to be soo much worse, boxes would firmly get stuck to walls with no possible way to get them unstuck.
Anyway. Thank you so much for you kind words and I'll be playing your game soon enough :P

I really enjoy it. The art, music and level design are so good. I love the menus. The puzzle is a little bit to understand at the beginning.

cool game! Really enjoy the pixelart style and atmosphere. But the walking animation seems a little jittery.

Amazing game, so many good things about it, its got puzzles fighting running. plus that Sick CRT in the main menu screen.  Also the fact I didn't have to completely restart when I died was just amazing, felt amazing to play. I think if this were to be a full game i would want more use out of the rewind attack it seemed a bit left behind at times but overall amazing.

Very cool!🤍

Developer

thank you! :D

The game had a nice atmosphere with the beginning, and the CRT shader! The rewind mechanic workd nice and felt rewarding, in the puzzle section however I didnt exactly know how to utilize it well, so I just forced myself through it, I guess. Great pixelart and some nice effects!! Awesome.

Developer(+1)

Yeah. The puzzle is a part where I honestly really struggled with. Mostly because I didn't want to do the very typical rewind time puzzle stuff. And half way through the week the mechanic was changed it subtle ways which made using it in puzzle mechanics became complicated.

The menu was super cool! the dungeon was designed really cool! This idea is clever, you should keep working on it!  Great job submitting to the jam, and I hope you learned a lot of new things!  If you have time, please check out my entry :D

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much. I learned a couple of new things, but mostly refined my skills in this jam.
This was my first go doing puppet animations and rigging in unity. It kind of shows with some of the clunkiness of parts of the boss. But I think it went overall pretty ok.

Also, you game has been added to my "To play" collection.

I really like this game aesthetic and gamplay, also the dialogues are really fun. The boss could use some more visual feedback because sometimes I didn't know I was being punched. Other than that, really solid entry!

Ok, the style of this is something else, it's just gorgeous. And the dialogues add that cherry on top. The puzzle was a bit puzzling at first (pun intended), since the mechanics weren't really explained, but it was very satisfying to solve. The only thing, the boxes can be a bit wonky to carry around, especially the one placed on the nordest button. I didn't really understand the boss, i just flipped the switches and bested it, but maybe i got a bit lucky with his swings.
