I love this. I love perspectives(also i know other game called perspective but its not like a big game so its fine) and this is just so cool. When i was at second level with 2 character same time i was like "this need to have all 4 at once" and when it had i was so happy. Yeah cool game overall. Also streamed it on my twitchhttps://www.twitch.tv/tipu_real

The artstyle was enjoyable, though I did kinda get bored doing the level again. I thought it would be like playing the level in a different direction or something but it seemed like it was the same route just reflected. Sometimes the platform I was supposed to jump to was out of frame also

I felt it got boring playing the same level over and over again, but the music, visuals, and sounds were all nice. I still enjoyed it, though.

I really liked your simplistic artstyle, but perhaps some more gameplay would have been nice.

A very cool take on the theme haha !

Its crazy that such a subtle change in the game is sufficient to make me play the same level over and over :D Maybe theres a lesson to be learnt here ?

Congrats on the game!

Cheers

Didn't know that playing the same level 8 times could be that fun.

Awesome art style!

I really like your art style. The gameplay felt good. I would have liked it if there were no leaps of faith, but the ones that were there were safe, so it didn't bother me too much. I do think the game slightly overstays its welcome, mostly because the music loop is fairly short.

It is interesting how you used the theme of the jam, I liked a lot the aesthetic of the game, and the level was pretty good, my only comment would be that even though you applied the theme by just changing the perspective, by the third change it gets a little bit monotonous in my opinion, great game anyways :)

Really like the little details (Like the grass rustling, and the squash and squish of the player as it jumps). Also really like the colors, and very unique take on the theme. Good job!

Even tho it's the same level, it gets harder every time... WHY??? That's insane, I love it. The art is great, the sounds too. The music sounds like crap, but it fits the game perfectly and sounds chilling after a while. Overall, pretty well done! Good job!

GOOD JOB

Somehow this is reminiscent of a classic NES game "Ice Climber" especially with the jumping sfx. I like it! 😊 Was it inspired by this somehow? I could also see a hint of Celeste. 😄
Anyway, the game felt complete, found no bugs at all, got very challenging when level was flipped in different ways. In the end, I only managed to get to the blue level because of a few reasons...

So to further improve your game, here are some thoughts.
Ever heard of coyote time? It's a feature where you create an extra window to perform an off-the-ledge jump, or whenever you initially fall. This imperfection will allow for a smoother flow in traversal. The player will be able to jump even without stepping on any platform, but it'll feel much better to control. There are more other platforming features out there, so take a look at them all. 😁

Another thing is I feel like the player character's controller isn't centered. Whenever I press left or right, the whole character seems to move ahead, and gives me a sense that I lost control of the character. Probably it's just the effect of a delayed camera movement. So for a fix, have the camera follow a point a few distances ahead where the character is facing. This also enables the player to see and plan ahead.

I hope this will help you and other than that, CONGRATS! You did well on your 1st game jam ever! Keep it up!👏

This really introduced a whole innovative side of perspectives here. I love how I got to play the game from pretty much different angles and still end up getting the same result in the end. Especially looking at different screens of movement. Amazing job on this entry!

Very visually pleasing and you got the gravity and movement just right. I also really like the sprite and the death effect & sound. Overall you did a really good job.

Interesting for sure! Video review below: 27:22 Perspectives

Interesting concept thought from your description I expected the level to be a lot shorter than what it really was :D The visuals are very nice and the idea is cool. At first I got confused and I thought that the grass blades were the spikes for me to avoid so I was surprised when I landed on them and did not get killed...then I found the real ones. lol

I really liked the visual quality in this game. Good joob.

Great take on the theme

crazy what you can do with one level

Very creative! I wouldn’t have thought that one level can be played so many times without getting bored. Very good job!

Really enjoyed the perspective switching on this,  deff used the prompt correctly. The games difficulty was perfect for the length and the aesthetic was refreshing, great job!
