Someone forgot to tell theotheoderich that its a game-jam development for only a few months development and not "the game of the decade" game-jam.
Despite the fact of the time limitation, theotheoderich still managed to pack a lot of depth in this game, including a multiplayer mode, thus exceeding all expectations and bringing a new level of commitment to game jam development.

The game plays and feels like a commercial game and even offers more than the games it was influenced by (Colonization/Civilization), as the game stands on its own with clean visually appealing sprites and a 4-player multiplayer mode.
Controls are great, and using keyboard can speed up navigation and popups.

The game has a learning curve, but for those who are familiar with Colonization can quickly pick up the pace. As for the rest of us, discovering the game controls/mechanics is also a fun task/game on its own.

The Amiga community received a new gem with this title! Keep up the great work!

Suggestions for future:
Commercial boxed version!
Add more in-game music themes

Thank you very much for the nice words.
Originally I just wanted to create a simple trading game with continents, cities and ships for my 11 year old son and me.....
I hope to have most of the core game elements in place in a few more months.
Thanks again for this comment, I really was happy about it.

Awesome! I will be checking for updates!
I also hope we can see some multiplayer action on stream some-time!

This is an incredible achievement in such a short space of time. I've not had a lot of time to properly get to grips with it, but from what I've seen, I'm blown away. I love your graphics too, the whole package is very professional. Well done Sir!

Amazing. During the development of this game, I was already blown away by the task you were taking on. You kept the course and pulled it off. Whilst it might not have all the features you want, it has a lot of outstanding features and it's turn-based multiplayer no less. A game people will be playing long after the jam.

Wow, thank you very much.

That is really great to read. Thank you very much for your kind words.

I love this, looks like the sort of thing that could absorb hours of my life!

Two words:  already addictive.

An incredibly ambitious game, with lots of polish and lots to learn from, as a beginner to blitz basic, finding how some things are even possible sure gave me a lot to think about for the future!

I really do hope you keep working on it and I'm very much looking forward to more, as it would keep civilization company on my Amiga!

Very polished. Great pixel art. Crazy ambitious. But unfortunately my RTS playing started and ended with The Settlers so I was completely lost on how to play this.

Wow, what an ambitious game! I’ve been following in it on the Discord server and it’s truly impressive to see what you accomplished. I’m glad you’re planning on continuing to work on it, it deserves it!

Developer

thank you for following my "little" project.

I think it will need 12 month or more until it is finished.

This is a really intriguing game and presentation is top notch - very well done on that.  It has obviously been lovingly crafted and is pretty playable (although I will admit to not knowing what I was doing).  Maybe some context sensitive help would b useful for the likes of me.  This has the potential to be a classic Amiga game.

Developer

Thank you very much for playing.

You can have a look on my tutorial video to learn how to play. And yes, the in-game help needs to be better...but was not possibly until the end of the kam.

I will tey and find time to look at your video and maybe yours is the game to get me in to strategy. Never played any of the Civ games or Colonisation

But I can clearly see the quality of your game  and the time and attention you put into it.

I think it ia good to show thoae assembler snobs that BB2 can do stuff too.  ;). Your game certainly does that.

Stay motivated and get it done as I see thicoming in a glossy box which I certainly would get fomy collection.

Oh my godness : A multiplayer Colonization like game.
I played Civilization and Colonization on my Amiga 1200.
Very intuitive, if you remember the keyboard's shortcuts.
I started a 2 players mode  an it's awesome.
Nice graphs and sounds.

Developer

Thank you very much. I am glad that you like my game.

I like this kind of turn based game. Develop, increase, no sudden death, tactics. I still continue to play the game, but I would say I love it. Awesome!

Developer

Thank you very much. It makes also some fun in multiplayer (but this will take a long time...), but the game is still far away from beeing finished.

To allow easy access for users to test, your entry has been uploaded to AmigaLive.com within a game compilation named "Blitz Basic Game Jam 2022" under the default server games list.

Good luck!
