can't get this to run on a PAL nes via a krikzz N8 pro everdrive.... is it NTSC only? or some mapper the N8 pro doesn't support? looks fun!

thank you! I will be continuing with this, albeit at a slightly more casual pace than during the jam :)

nice. Yeah I wouldn't worry about using some pd music, I think those kind of assets it's fair to use in a jam, it's a coding jam after all, people use ai generated art, so I think it's fine :)

I really like your writing style. Humorous, page-turning stuff. Really nice story and dialogue. I know you used midjourney for a lot of your graphics, but you've managed to get a consistent style out of it that hangs together very well, it looks like it all belongs together and it's really beautiful looking. Acres of style with the cyberpunk setting combined with the writing. I'm looking forward to finding time to play this all the way though, sadly my youngest interrupted my session tonight.

Really quite addictive! I had some graphical glitches running on uae on an a1200 setup, but on my real hardware (1200/030@50) it works fine. I didn't 100% understand what I was doing but I've started to get the hang of it, would be nice to be able to build roads in multiples rather than one tile at a time, though I could just be doing it wrong. Cracking music too, great effort all round!

This is an incredible achievement in such a short space of time. I've not had a lot of time to properly get to grips with it, but from what I've seen, I'm blown away. I love your graphics too, the whole package is very professional. Well done Sir!

Astounding! This is very well done and very funny. Props on the scrolling isometric map. This is a very original concept too, top marks!

Great start, and your code is very neat and tidy! Controls work well, though it did take me a minute to remind myself that the fire button quits the game and space bar is the fire button.  Maybe swap those around? I too like the hud area, hi-score etc looks nice. Keep it up!

very atmospheric! I like little bits of text "So Alone" "I Hate Dust" etc. very funny! Will have to have a look at your code to see how this dungeon crawler wizardry is done, it's very clever! The sense of urgency and dread when you're low on power and looking for your next charger adds to the tension.

Thank you! yes, too many moving objects for 7mhz a500 haha

yes I did see you could disable collisions but I like there being a penalty for bad driving haha. I'll check out the new version as damn those CPU cars are hard to beat! Will be playing more of this

This is great fun and I love the clean graphics style and colour palette. I found some walls could be a little off on hit detection - but I know: pot calling the kettle.... (My hit detection is worse!) I'd also suggest making the enemies have slightly smaller hitboxes as I found I killed them even when I thought I'd pretty much missed, just lightly grazed them. Minor details though, great game, nicely polished presentation.

This is excellent, really polished, looks great, lots of fun, 2 player included, what more do you need? Fantastic.

I really enjoy this genre, this game is a great example of it. The animations on the cars are very smooth, how many frames is it? The tracks are satisfying to drive, I even tried to cheat on track 4, skipping out the loop and it seemed wise to my tricks and didn't count my lap, which was nice to see that had been thought of. Yes, you can get a bit stuck on the walls, but I do think you need to stop the player when they crash or there is no penalty for doing so. Would be nice to be able to get yourself going again a little easier though. Great effort!

thanks! Yeah hit detection is on my list to tidy up haha. I also intended to add a keyboard key for those without a 2 button stick, so that will come in time too. Thanks for playing!

thank you! I hope it will continue to improve

hehe yeah I haven't gotten round to doing proper graphics for when they're going vertically, so it's just rotated left/right shapes for now. And some of them drive backwards currently :p thanks for playing!

Good clean multiplayer fun. I can't wait to play this 4 player at our next local NAG meetup. Gameplay has the feel of the old Atari 2600 tank game "Combat" to me. Love the flamethrower!

I had a lot of fun with this. I'm terrible at shmups usually, but I was able to get into the groove with the patterns. Graphics and animation are fantastic. Really polished and professional. Just missing some more backgrounds, but I'm guessing that was a concession to limited time in a jam. Good work.

I love this. Proper addictive. Nailed the 8 bit pixel perfect look and feel. Controls really nicely and runs super smooth. Good work

Thank you! I decided to do a frog based game because my 5 year old loves frogs. She's obsessed. So turns out, you're not alone there.

Thank you! it's early days yet as I have limited free time. I joined the jam just to learn and have fun and I definitely achieved those goals, the community has been fantastic. I hope to keep working on this game (among other projects!) Thanks for playing.

Don't forget, it's a 2 button game. button 2 will turn you into a Megafrog provided you have  > 2 on your energy bar.
