Thanks (again) for giving our game a try, I've left a little comment on the video!

Thanks a lot for playing our game, I'm glad you enjoyed it! ♡ I've just posted a devlog with a small guide to get both endings here!

I never thought orange could look so good and scary at the same time. The graphics are definitely amazing! The story is just as good, and I'm glad to hear that you're going to keep developing the game. I'll definitely keep an eye out for it in the future!

The art is beautiful and the story is totally intriguing. I loved the concepts of the wormbearers and the plane where everything seems to take place. I got endings 2, 3, and 4, but I'll definitely be going back to try and get the last one!

Despite the lack of interactivity, the story and art are very well crafted, and you can see the effort that went into everything. I would love to see a full version that develops the lore about the artifacts someday!

There's nothing better than playing on the beach with your fellow cultists. Although it seems to be a little rough around the edges in some areas, everything works perfectly and it's a very enjoyable experience. A full version with rivals who worship different deities and some kind of "championship" would be a lot of fun!

A perfect setting and a plot that makes you want to keep investigating! The captain's code with the letters gave me quite a few headaches, but apart from that everything worked quite well. Very good work!

A short but very well-rounded game, with a consistent visual style that's easy on the eyes! The controls were a bit wonky at times (for example, pressing the right arrow while inspecting an item would cause the character to move and leave the item's screen), but nothing that affected the experience. Great job!

A concept very different from anything I've seen before, but no less enjoyable for that! As others have said, the movement feels a bit slow, but it's a very good game either way!

The controls are a bit awkward to use, but once you get the hang of it it's a pretty good experience! It definitely has a lot of potential, and the overall style of the game is also very good!

A very enjoyable game! The mechanics work perfectly and have a lot of potential, just like the narrative!

Very cool game, it definitely illustrates the experience of being lost and driving late at night! I would love to see something similar but more extense in the future!

A short but very thought-provoking experience, very much in line with "show, don't tell". The mouse sensitivity was a bit low and the camera position seemed awkward at first, but if that was intentional it was an excellent touch!

That kind of constant flickering of the red lights always gives me a headache, so I couldn't play past the introduction, but it looked pretty good. I would recommend that the text not progress automatically, but rather with player input, to make it easier for slow readers to understand the game!

I'm a big fan of The Hounds of Tindalos, so I really liked the idea behind the game! The platforming is quite challenging, and it would have been nice if the parry jump allowed you to see the screen better so you could control where you land, but other than that everything seems to work well. As others have said, the sound of the dog is quite torturous-

So entertaining that the interruptions from the window made me click my tongue because I just wanted to keep making drinks. I love the graphic style, especially the cat!

I was really looking forward to trying this game and it didn't disappoint in any way! The gameplay loop is great, and I'll definitely play again to get all the achievements once I have time. The horror card references are amazing, and I spotted quite a few, but I'd like to know if you have a full list I can take a look at. Really good game!

The idea is quite interesting and the graphics are simple but perfect for the story it wants to tell, but perhaps the execution could have been better. At times it felt like a walking simulator, yet the gameplay with obstacles and pieces to collect was quite good. I would have liked to see more of that!

"Have you ever wondered what it feels like to swim in the sea with an Eldritch creature lurking around?" The game answers this question in the best possible way, I loved it!

A very cool short game! I love the graphic style and how well thought out the level is, leaving just enough space to move around and activate the stones. As others have said the movement can be a bit frustrating, but that's not a bad thing, on the contrary, it encourages you to try harder to finish the whole thing!

Hello, thanks for trying out the game! It's quite odd that the C key isn't working, but the right click of the mouse should work the same. I'm gonna add it to the description, so I hope you can give the game another chance!

Although some visual props would have been nice, text-based games are a genre in their own right that I really enjoy and the story in this one is very well done! Besides being very engaging, I like that you've included different options between texts, rather than overwhelming the player with paragraphs and paragraphs of information. For some reason when I started the game in my browser I couldn't scroll down on the longer screens, but by changing the font size I was able to read everything without any problems. Other than that, I recommend proofreading everything in Google Docs or a programme of your choice. There were a few typos here and there, nothing that really affects the comprehension of the text, but it can be distracting for some people!

A very enjoyable experience! I really like the 3D pixel art, and even though the movement felt awkward at first, it doesn't take long to get used to it. The way the story was told was also fantastic!

As others have said, the oxygen runs out so quickly that there is no time to do much, but the premise sounded interesting and the visual style has its charm!

Nothing beats some existentialist cosmic romance with inevitable tragedy at the end. The art is incredible and the music fits the game really well, but the text in the menus was kinda tough to read. I'd love to see more of Miku and Van in the future!

A short but captivating story, with definitely a lot of potential! The white screen when reading the book made my eyes hurt quite a bit, but I give it +1 for immersion.

(1 edit)

Glad to see a visual novel around here! I really like the graphic style, very consistent and pleasing to the eye, yet creepy at the same time, and the music fits perfectly. Hope to see more of this story in the future!

The game has a pretty interesting concept and atmosphere, but it's a bit unintuitive to explore at first. Unfortunately I got stuck in a loop trying to leave through the front door of the house with the golden key :(

A very challenging but enjoyable game! I couldn't finish the 5th day, but I will definitely play it again once I have more free time. A multiplayer version in the future would be a dream come true, because the concept has a lot of potential!

Mutus seems to be the final boss of the game for almost everyone, but even so it's an incredible concept and I really enjoyed it! Like the previous comment, I found it a bit difficult to read the crossed-out text, but as a design idea it's quite good. I think it would be enough to make the legible letters a little thicker so that they are easier to read!

A very interesting concept and a great build-up! The text was a bit difficult to read at times (could be my bad eyes tho), but apart from that I didn't find any problems!

First time trying a game like this and at first I thought I was playing it wrong, but once you get the hang of it it's really fun and addictive! I really like the way the music syncs up with the rhythm of the "attacks"!

A very thrilling experience, the audio is perfect and the graphics reminded me a lot of the Clock Tower game! The idea of discovering the story of the game in text excerpts was quite interesting to me, and the transformation of the father was very surprising, because like another comment I swore he was the protagonist's brother.

Hello, thanks for giving the game a try! I did a quick playthrough from scratch in a different browser than usual and was unable to replicate the bug you're encountering. You should be able to move forward (W button) without any problems... Hopefully you can try again!

Thanks for trying out the game, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I have indeed played those games, and it's an honour that you consider them similar <3

An amazing experience, highly recommended!

I loved it!!! As a long-time Kirby fan, I've always wanted a more explicitly (because Kirby lore is Kirby lore) mature experience, and this game is everything I dreamed of! I really hope there's a sequel, and someday a Korotan plushie!!!

For a visual novel, there isn't really much to look at... but are there credits for artists? If it was a bug that caused the images not to display, that's quite unfortunate.

I recommend proofreading and editing the text at least a couple of times before publishing it; sometimes running it through Google Docs is enough. I found several little typos, and some details, such as only finding out the scientist Leo's name after a while of reading about his backstory with the protagonist, break the immersion quite a bit... Beyond that, even though the pacing is a bit amateurish, it has a lot of potential. I really like visual novels and the whole SCP theme, so I hope to see more from you all!

It's a very good first project, with everything working as it should! For another future jam it might be a good idea to team up with someone who can help you with the graphics and sounds. The idea has a lot of potential!

Unfortunately the game doesn't seem to work beyond the soul creation screen, all the buttons there kinda work, but at the moment of pressing "create" it just go back to the soul slots... Let me know if you fix it!
