i really like the visuals, the only addition i would want is to be able to zoom on the taken pictures to see better

Developer

That was in the list of things we wanted initially but we didn't have the time to add it.

Hopefully in a future update after the jam votes are over we'll do.

Cool concept!

The controls are a bit awkward to use, but once you get the hang of it it's a pretty good experience! It definitely has a lot of potential, and the overall style of the game is also very good!

Very interesting concept! I did initially find it a little difficult to get my bearings and figure out what I was supposed to be doing, but didn't take too long to figure it out so that's a minor point. Somebody else mentioned Fatal Frame and that was my immediate thought as well - which is no complaint as I love Fatal Frame. A full cosmic horror themed FF game would be incredibly interesting.

Great stuff!

Really cool idea to be honest! The whole aspect of hunting for eldritch creatures with a camera sound so cool and you were able to implement it! Loved how the static warns you of the entity! Great stuff!

Pretty cool. The fact that you can only see the entity when taking pictures makes it very unnerving. The static effect when getting near it is also pretty cool. Well done!

Really liked the choice of a fixed camera style horror game! Especially since it has a Fatal Frame-style twist to it!

The blocky aesthetics were well put together and the audio was suitably creepy, but I did find that it playing so consistently was giving me a slight headache. That and the doors didn't seem to work properly at times, requiring me to click several times across different parts of them before I could transition to the next room.

There was enough build up that seeing the creature felt like a big event, and I especially liked the unsettling undercurrent that this creature could be standing right in front of the player without them realizing. Great work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback we will check to test the doors some more to see if we get the same problems and we'll see if we can fix this issue.

Hey, there I was wondering if I was doing something wrong, I can't seem to find the entity. I'd been walking around the house and found some staticky areas by the bed and the kitchen and tried taking photos but after triggering them they went away and I didn't notice anything on the 'snapshot' view.

Apart from that the audio was pretty unnerving, and the static effect was really neat. I really love the concept of those limited camera views and then seeing the first person view in the snap shots! I'm really glad to see a 3D point and click game too.

I really liked what I played but just not sure if I wasn't looking in the right places or if it was the game itself that maybe something hadn't fired off so I couldn't get to the ending / find the entity!

Developer(+2)

Simply put the entity goes to different spots in the house after each time it's picture is taken. The detection might have caught to something just on the edge of the polaroid photo. Hope you try it again and are able to see it properly in the photos.
The static areas are to show that you're close to it so you can try and understand where it is. But the game's concept is all about the fact that it's unseen. I just hope we didn't make it too hard :P

Thanks for explaining, after replaying I was able to find unfathomable pieces/parts of the entity on the snapshots! I really love the concept of only being able to see it through the photos. I like how original the design of the entity was because it wasn't like anything I'd ever seen before. Fun to play and unnerving. Like that itchy feeling of having something infest your home but not knowing where the hell it is and how to get rid of it.
