Late submission, I had submitted it on time before but found some bugs afterwards. Hoping this is ok, fixed now! Thank you! :

I will definitely be fixing the radio to lower or mute itself when Eddie speaks in an upcoming update so they don't drown each other out!
Thank you for pointing out that window issue, I didn't even think about second monitors when exporting this to boot in a small window. We sort of shrugged it off at the time that players will need to full screen it on launch but I can certainly see how that wouldn't play nice with a second monitor up! I think in the post jam update I'll be able to address that better, either having it full screen automatically or maybe play around with having window options, I should definitely learn how to make those for future games in general!
Happy you enjoyed, thanks for playing and your feedback helps a ton!! :D
I think when we come back to update this we definitely want to lower or mute the radio as Eddie is talking, should be easy enough to add a check for that! Definitely an oversight as we added Eddie's audio lines after making the radio system.
Thanks for playing and we're happy you had fun with it!! :]
The art is so unique and sharp, I love it so much. The writing really immerses you inside such a fascinating and brutal world. It really makes you think twice about your decisions the more you discover. The limited amount of resources to keep everyone alive and healthy adds a great amount of tension. Such a cool game!
Really happy to hear that feeling of being lost while driving at night came through!
We do hope to add onto these character's stories in future games! We originally had a gas system set up but had to scrap it near the end cause it was getting waay out of scope lol. Once the jam period is over one of our goals is to rework that gas system for an Endless or Survival mode in an updated version.
Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed!! :>
The terminal is so fun to type in, and the buttons are satisfying to press. The sounds/ambience help you stay immersed, and voice acting is always a plus! There's a really good sense of dread with each progression, made me jump a few times! Handles that isolation aspect of Cosmic Horror really well!
The atmosphere is really well made. A lot of world building through the notes and emails, I liked that in the story the crew is deliberately using notes out of fear. The pacing is well set by reading through everything and exploring, it really makes you take in the world. The name puzzle was fun to crack and the ending raised some hairs on my neck lol. Really cool game, I'm not sure if you've played Doom 3 but I'm a diehard fan and this game scratched an itch for that game!
I love how the music is just the right tempo to match the gameplay and cooldown of reading the words! The light slowly getting dimmer and dimmer makes it tense near the end of each round, I like how quickly you can jump back in when a round ends, and the upgrade system makes gameplay even more satisfying as you get more abilities. Really cool game had a lot of depth and it was a creative way to tie into Cosmic Horror!
Happy to hear you enjoyed it!!
Any of the voices that aren't subtitled were meant to be a radio playing, I think when I come back to update it I want to include some sprites in front of the radio to show it's playing, and maybe lower the volume of the radio when Eddie talks so it's not confusing.
Thank you for playing and for your feedback!! :]
My mind is blown with this one, the story, art, sound and gameplay all come together for such a tense experience! Sometimes when I die in a game, I'll admit I'll wanna hang it right up, but even when I got caught I was just so hooked on it that I wanted to see what happened next! I loved the hiding mechanic a lot, collecting notes is a solid objective and I like that taking damage is pretty forgiving. Really good game and I loved the characters and their designs!!
Adorable character designs, even the fleshy evil cosmic beings were cute! I love that there's a lore reason for Korotan to be immune to the corruption, the story was so much fun! The audio was really well made and made it satisfying to jump around the levels. Gameplay was smooth and felt good to play! Really fun game, hope to see more!
This one was really great, the atmosphere is really brought together by the sounds and lighting! Got a jump scare by hanging around too long to peek inside one of the doors. I'd like to retry again cause I actually couldn't figure out how to make it to the Command Center. But this was a lot of fun, I really liked the voice acted logs and how they play while you explore, we're huge Doom 3 fans and it kind of had the vibes of that game! Fun to play and unnerving, feels like something's lurking right behind me.
It was the strangest thing on my first playthrough I was completely stuck inside that library room and couldn't get out, but on my second playthrough I was able to leave the library whether I had the key or not.
I was able to get a lot farther on my second playthrough and had fun with how trippy the map is, had fun with it!
I loved how much depth there was to the map, the characters and the story! The music was beautiful to listen to, and it changed at all the right moments. I loved the ending a lot and the contrast between the Fairy and the Investigator's outlook on things! I'm not sure if you all have played those classic rpg maker horror games like Ib or Misao, but this game really filled a void that those older games left me craving! Really good work!
I loved the atmosphere so much, the beautiful pixel artwork and that unnerving but almost peaceful ambience come together to make such an otherworldly vibe. I like how you used an incomprehensible language too! The use of bright pink against the calm blues was really pretty too. Fun to play and eye candy too!
I loved the dread that builds the further and further you descend, the story was so much fun to read as you play. I think the hopelessness of cosmic horror really came across well here too. The audio and art intertwine so well, made me nostalgic for when I used to play Pokemon Leafgreen as a kid!
Great game!
The atmosphere is really great, the unnerving ambience and surreal visuals of the chairs on the walls, mysterious doors that are just out of reach! The lighting and environment was so pretty, inside and out.
I did though get stuck after unlocking the first door in the little house where you open the first door with the gold key. I wasn't sure where to go next because I couldn't get out of this room from where I came from and I couldn't find anything in here to get out.
I will retry though if there was something I'm missing!
I did have one bug when testing controls at the very beginning by pressing E when there was nothing to interact with and it crashes the game.
I really liked what I saw, would love to play more!
