A short but very well-rounded game, with a consistent visual style that's easy on the eyes! The controls were a bit wonky at times (for example, pressing the right arrow while inspecting an item would cause the character to move and leave the item's screen), but nothing that affected the experience. Great job!

The color pallet, drawings, and visuals overall are a big stand out part here. The humor and writing was also very charming. I will say however, that while the audio was somewhat "crispy" as you would expect from this style of game - there were times were it was more "crispy" in an unpleasant way. (The menu music and page flipping come to mind.) It was also somewhat strange that the audio appeared to be panning toward where you started, but that just seems like a bug to me.

Overall a very simple and cute game, well done!

LOVED the style of this game. And was that a Terminator reference in the end there? Great game.

Developer

Thanks for the playing the game and for the kind words! Yeah that scene has always stuck with me in this context it just made me laugh so i threw it in there.

Love the drawing style and the colour palette. You also communicated a lot without using words (especially in the intro). The tile art and the dynamic lighting look great, too.

Developer

Thank you for playing the game! Im glad to hear the positive feedback on the art!

Love the art style. And a cool concept overall, 5 mins to save the world. Could see it becoming a sort of timeloop roguelike where you can only gather some of the unsummoning items each time.

Developer

Thanks for playing! and totally kind of like minit or something like that, I could see that helping extend the gameplay!

I made a small fix where the ending was not able to progress when you pressed space, if you wanna check out the true ending you might want to give it one more try!

Nice little game, i love the visuals! I struggle just a bit with the color of the cursor when you interact with items (yellow/blue), I keep confusing  them x)

Developer

Yeah to be honest I was confusing myself with those colors too XD Might be a good idea to just do dark blue to light blue or something like that. Thanks for playing!

lol, yeah or like, maybe a small hand with a finger pointed (with the black nailpolish) as a cursor, the same one that is supposed to end the world, i don't know how annoying it would be to implement though, never use Godot before x)

Really cool art style! I liked the story, and the cutscenes especially.  It's definitely got some juice and I like the unique color palette choice. Cozy little game for sure!

On the technical side, some of the best art in the jam, and the character moved really well. As far as the game itself, that was really interesting and pretty fun to boot! Very unique and cute twist on the classic cosmic horror tropes. Did I notice a bit of a nod to Cabin in the Woods with the hand coming up through the house? Very cool overall, I think this is the game I've rated the highest so far.

Developer

Thanks for playing the game! and for all the kind words, that totally is a Cabin in the Woods reference! I was drawing from all the eldritch horror stuff i could lol

Some of your best graphics so far! The story segment at the beginning was so good! Made me really happy seeing how the images progressed and told the story.

Also, great use of sound and music, the character sprites where on point and man that was a lot of fun to play, loved the presentation! How cool is it when you pick up stuff and get pop ups with images for every object, that really caught me off guard and made me super excited for playing it and finding every single thing!

Very good story elements! Great game overall!
