amazing game, really fun and well made. i didn't managed to find the elevator and got a "the beast cannot be killed screen". did i get the bad ending or is there no way to go kill the beast?
That is the only ending, but when did you get that screen? It's only supposed to happen after completing the "Kill the Beast" objective. (Which means dragging the Reactor core outside to the elevator)
i already went in the water but didn't find the elevator then went back inside for a few minutes to search the elevator and when going back to the airlock i had the screen
Wow, this is a huge game for 2 weeks of development. Well done! Unfortunately I wasn't able to get past the "kill the beast" objective, probably on me but I couldn't for the life of me figure out what to do. Enjoyed it up to that point though!
Thanks! It was supposed to be way bigger lmao.
The intention for the "Kill the beast" objective is to drag the Reactor core (Big green ball) outside to the elevator, clear the goop on it, and go down. (But that is the last objective, so you basically completed it.)
This is really well made! The atmosphere is great, the voice acting for the log was really cool, it really adds to the polish of your game.
Unfortunately I did encounter several annoying bugs ><. I get 2 black screens (that would change color as I move the camera) while I bumped randomly on a bench and a chair, which force me to restart. And I was stuck at the "find oxygen goal" even when I did manage to get my blue bar full, and then I couldn't equip the wrench to break the padlock :'(
Thank you! Sorry about the bugs lol.
The "Random blindness" bug is a tough one to even diagnose let alone fix, for me it usually just fixes itself after a second if I move and swing the camera around a bit. The "Find Oxygen" objective bug was something I just fixed, however the actual HUD doesn't update correctly for whatever reason. So If you look in the objective menu after the HUD displays that objective, that menu will show you what to do next correctly. Not sure why you couldn't equip the wrench though, that's a new one.
Wow this was so well done! Man, it captured that feeling from bioshock so well that it had me excited for the puzzles and the conclusion of the game! Also, great use of lighting and great call backs to stuff like Half Life with the character models' man this was really well done! Great job!
As atmospheric as it is impressive, which is super impressive! Incredible work for only two weeks, well done!
the game look amazing and remind me a lot of half life with how it plays but i have a bug that turn my screen into a mess when going back into the main room after acquiering the fuse. i won't really rate it until i can go further but it is really promising
Yeah, I've ran into that bug myself. It will usually only happen once per playthough, but if you move and swing the camera around it should eventually fix itself.
Not sure why it happens in the first place though unfortunately.
ok i will retry then
I really liked the look of the game, and the looking around and finding stuff was pretty fun, I ran out of oxygen pretty early on so I was not sure what to do after that, as i dint feel like i could safely go outside of metal area to explore the water area more. The sound and atmosphere where on point tho, good job!
Glad you liked the atmosphere! Presentation was certainly a big focus for me on this project.
As far as the balancing of resources, that could have used some more work as you discovered lol. At the moment I think there are three oxygen bottles that can be found around the main rooms you initially have access to before finding the wrench.
The oxygen mechanic was mainly there as I had intended for a much longer underwater segment near the end of the game. But of course I ran out of time.
Love the atmosphere and the audio logs. The combat is simple but works great. Got stuck since I was unable to fin the "backup generator". But from what I've played its really promissing.
Glad you liked it! The atmosphere, audio logs, and writing in general was certainly one of the biggest aspects of this game for me. As I really wanted to get across that this is a real living world, which has things happening outside of your involvement.
This is probably one of the least well communicated objectives.
Ah! I didnt know the flare could do that! I'll try it again to see if i can finish the game :D
This one was really great, the atmosphere is really brought together by the sounds and lighting! Got a jump scare by hanging around too long to peek inside one of the doors. I'd like to retry again cause I actually couldn't figure out how to make it to the Command Center. But this was a lot of fun, I really liked the voice acted logs and how they play while you explore, we're huge Doom 3 fans and it kind of had the vibes of that game! Fun to play and unnerving, feels like something's lurking right behind me.
That's great to hear, glad you guys liked it!
You need to find a keycard in crew quarters to get to the command center. The bar blocking the crew quarters door can be broken with the wrench, similar to the lock on the fuse box.
