Thank you so much for playing!

Cute, fun and polished!

Thank you!!

I was not expecting such a hooky gameplay loop :D I really like that rogue-lite element "choose your upgrade" feeling in this game. The way the asteroids appear on screen is deceptive, and got deadly way quicker than expected xD fun game

Developer(+1)

There are plans to expand the rogue-liteness in a post jam update, and maybe something else to blow up beside space rocks.

Thanks for playing!

That was fun! The art is very charming and polished.

As much as I liked vacuuming up stars with the spread shot, I do wish the pistol and bubbler were more on par.

Great work!

Developer(+1)

Hopefully I'll find time to add even more weapons and balance everything. Eventually.

Thank you so much for playing!

Simple but very fun! Spread seems to be the best weapon to get since well, there are a lot of asteroids spread out across the screen. Would love to see this game with an endless mode.

Developer

Endless mode seems simple enough to add to the post-jam revision, I'll give it a try.
Thanks for the feedback!

You can't give a game with a cat-character a bad score. It's also really good on its own.

Developer(+1)

The character was a white square for the majority of the jam time. Sprites and sounds came in the last couple days, and it was a really pleasant change to see a cute cat instead of geometry.

Thanks for playing!

Full disclosure, I clicked on this game because there was a cat on it.

I loved this totally. Nice graphics and choice of colors. good sound effects and bg music. I like the simplicity but I wished for a shield or a star-magnet :-)

Nice ending, too!

Developer

There will be a content update eventually, many ideas had to be cut for time.
Thanks for playing, and for the kind words!

This is a really fun one! Love the cat sprite, and the hitbox being the helmet makes it super clear, great idea!

Developer

Having the body of the character be the darker color shade helped a lot, there were some highlights at some point but keeping the brighter colors just for the helmet helped a lot readability wise.

Thanks for playing!

Ditto. The number of asteroids felt overwhelming at times.

Developer

The original design had a lot more elements inspired by Vampire Survivors. What remained after cutting the scope was the overwhelming amount of rocks closing in and the urge to carve a path through them. Spread helps a lot!

Thanks for playing!

It's silly and fun!  Everything felt big on the small screen, so got very busy quickly.  More enemy types would be cool but nice that you got in some different weapons! Great submission!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, I'll revisit this project and add more content, it was really fun to develop.

This was a solid experience. The movement was extremely fluid and responsive, which was my favorite part of the game. The hitbox was a bit funky, and some additional enemy variety would've been nice, but otherwise the game feels "complete", which is nice to achieve in a 10-day jam.

Developer

I had to scale back on the planned content because I was pretty busy last week, and I couldn't make the most of the 10 days. I'll definitely update the game with more variety on enemies and weapons post-jam.

Thanks for playing!

This was a lot of fun to play and very intuitive. The purple color palette you chose was really nice and I love that I get to be a cute and unique merkitty!

Developer

Thank you so much!!!

Super satisfying gameplay! I really liked having multiple options for weapons and upgrades. Loved the music and the cat.

Developer

I have plans to add even more weapons post-jam.
Thanks for playing!

Nice work, this has a lot of satisfying gameplay elements. I'd love to play a larger version of this with more enemies and powerups. I'll be looking forward to post jam updates!

I wonder what kind of animal produces space milk?

Developer

Some mysteries in the galaxy are better left unresolved.

Thanks for playing and for the kind words!

I liked the asteroid physics, very interesting. Good music too :)

Developer

That was inspired by stage 5 in Gradius V for the PS2, one of my favorite shmups of all time.

Thanks for playing!

very cute!

Very nice game made me feel "vampire survivor" style game vibes. I really liked that the weapons have upgrades and that the hitbox is just the helmet. One thing that according to me would make more sense is that you can grab the powerups with the whole body, although that would perhaps make it easier.

Developer(+1)

I tried adding a secondary collider to pick up stuff. It felt great to be able to pick up the boxes with the body. But that also meant that stars would need to react to it for consistency. It made collecting stars too easy, I could sweep up and down and rack up the multiplier effortlessly. I might make the boxes slowly gravitate towards the player after some time, in a future update.

Thanks for playing!

There is nothing I want more than to scritch this cat while it's purring in my lap

Developer(+1)

The fishbowl helmet might get in the way of headpats unfortunately.

Thanks for playing!
