Hello! My name is Cecilia, I'm from Brazil and I'm looking for a team for this Jam. I want to focus on UI, animated portraiture and character design.  I prefer to work in pixel art style. Here is some of my work  https://cara.app/cccretina

If you see this and you are interested please contact me here or on discord cc.cretina

yes, using AI is very capitalistic, it's a tool you do not need in your life whatsoever. I'm not going back on that. Ai exploits all workers in all it's ways, from the workers who build the LLM's, to artists who's works get stolen, to the workers who suffer from data centers being built, from the workers who need to classify photos and images to classify the scraped data (and by the way are paid miserable wages and have to see full gore pictures in order to label them).  And you might build your own LLM at home, and it'll not be able to achieve much without the scraped data. It is fully dependent on the exploitation of someone elses work. Which is why it's inherently capitalistic.

copyright is not inherently capitalistic, of course big corpos use it as a capitalism tool, like every aspect of life.  Think of it like this, all the artist of disney movies should have the rights to the work they did, but they don't, disney owns their work. This is the base of class struggle, the workers build things and corporations steal their work and the financial gains they could acquire from it with the famous wage theft. The same thing happens with AI, all the work produced by artists/programmers is stolen by AI companies that then resell the machine that creates an altered version of their work, it's quite similar to the example I gave except it skips the "wage" and just keeps the theft. Using AI is very capitalistic.

Thanks viv! I am planning on adding hats and glasses when the rest of the game is playable!

Thank you!!! My husband also complained about the lack of more masculine traits and hair, I'll be adding more in the future kkkk

I also thought about moving the details tab, but due to the size of things I changed it to the clothes tab to have better alignment. I'm thinking about changing the naming of the character to a new screen, this way I could make details fit and I could add some more things to the clothes part, like hair accessories and glasses.

I'm also going to work on contrast with background, a lot of people commented on it, I also believe it's an issue.

For the skin tones, i understand the pink tonality on shadows but that is part of my style, I prefer making skin tones more on the magenta side.

That highlight issue is real and I had not noticed it, great point.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Once I finish the gameplay base I'll work on the modifications!

I loved your transitions, they were absolutely stunning! Also, great work as a solo artist and dev!

For a first game is absolutely great work! getting a drag and drop system working is no small feat, now you know how to do it, it'll probably make creating new games so much easier. Also, your art is looking great!

Amei o jogo! A pixel arte ficou muito fofinha!

Very cute! very nice feel good vn vibe!

Absolutely stunning artwork! I wish it was working correctly, I would love to play a finished version!

Absolutely amazing game! The sprites are stunning and the level design perfect! Great work!

Lovely penguin game! Unfortunately it feels a bit broken. I struggled a lot pressing start, some sounds did not respond correctly to the penguin's movement and the sensitivity and jumping felt very clanky. Even with it's issues, I believe this is quite impressive for a solo dev/artist work, especially working in 3d. The penguin's animations look great and the penguin 3d model is super cute.

Lovely game! I got stuck at some point also, but the music and vibes were 100% on point. Great work!

Yeah, that would have been a good idea. I think the reduced game screen was a killer to my game, not enough size to put long text made a more interactive UI too hard to make

Hello! My name is cecilia and I'm a pixel artist and I'm currently joined by a sound designer and we are looking for some teammates for the cozy jam. Here is my portfolio https://cccretina.carrd.co/#pixelart

Hello! I'm cecilia and I'm looking for a musician/sound designer to work with me in godot. I will make all the art and also code the game. It will be my first time making a game in godot so I will not be making anything too complex.  If anyone is interested please contact me here or on discord: cc.cretina

I am NOT looking for teams, thanks!

Thank you!!!!

This is basically the only "possible way", one hibiscus and 2 orchids, I do believe is quite difficult to get the money for it, but it is possible. When the jam review/voting ends I'm going to work balance the game better and fix some other issues

you need to save enough money to buy at least 2 orchids to get through that phase (unfortunately after that I made things too hard so that is the last possible phase to go through, but it's a 100% possible to get 800 points)

Nice game! The game was quite cozy and the color pallet matched the vibe. I wish there was a bit more complexity to it but the whole experience was fun!

so, the game sorta requires you to save up some coins for later on, but I ended up making the challenge a little too extreme with later levels, I just didn't have much time to test things out and I do believe that after the orchid the game basically becomes impossible

Loved the game,  I had a lot of fun throwing plant nades! Music was also spectacular!!

This game is spetacular!Very fun!

Nice game! A bit repetitive but fun!

Loved the art of the game, gorgeous! Very nice gameplay too, very chill, I just wish there was a bit more to it

This game was so much fun! Loved it!

Loved the art, absolutely stunning! I was a bit confused at the early game but after a while I got the hang of it, it was a fun rogue-like!

Loved this game! It was so much fun playing it! I really felt like going back to play more! Great game!

Ok, I heard the steps and I was jumpscared by the creature, didn't expect something to show up out of nowhere. Great game! I wasn't able to finish it, but it feels like a classic horror experience.

Had some fun playing it! I loved the overall artstyle and the animations, it felt very responsive, sound effects were also on point! It just needed a more chill vibe to it, I felt like the game looked like an horror but felt like a chill puzzle game. Great work!

Thank you!

Thank you so much! my bad for the full screen, when I exported the game I never planned on allowing full screen, I had to sort a bunch of versions going because I was having issues with the web build and having to basically debug the web version, so after a bunch of exporting and testing I just forgot to turn it off.

Thanks! art is my main thing, unfortunately I realized that the size I wanted to do things wouldn't work well with my game idea too late into development.

This was so great! Musical perfection and the gameplay puzzly and nice! Great work!

Lovely art style! The animations were stunning! Nice work!

Nice game! Loved the gameplay, very creative use of the theme! also, great art!

Love the mix of 3d and 2d! Great work!!

The art for this game is beautiful! Had some fun looping planets!
