This is probably one of my top 3 favorite games of this jam. I love the main theme and the overall music and SFX, the game was a little hard for me at the start because I'm not really used to this kind of games (like an X-Wing fighter in Star Wars for example) but even so I really enjoyed my time from the begining to the end; loved the story too, sounded like some sort of Top Gun in space...

Did I already said the main theme is awesome? (I'm litterally listening it while I write this)

really hope this will be one of the highest ranked games of this jam and who knows, maybe you'll continue working on the game to make it bigger... Because I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy that!

Man, flying through space like that, tearing up turrets and floating geometric shapes. That was fun.

Boss was a bit rougher, but I still had a good time. You did a great job with that. I hope you expand on the idea more after, it'd be cool to see a Star Fox like game like this.

Amazing game. I found the first level quite hard, but the second one seemed much more forgiving. I didn't manage to kill the boss; I took out the 4 white shapes, but wasn't sure what to do next and then died (tried it twice). The secondary theme could maybe have been stronger, but hard to fault otherwise! Excellent work.

its like star fox but on GB !!!

Super slick game. Had a great feel once you got into the zone. The ambience was top notch.

The presentation of this game is simply outstanding. The visuals, sounds, music, everything is simply superb, well done, and you can feel the love and heart that was put into this game.

The one downside to it is that it was difficult to see what was ahead sometimes, but I understand it's due to the low resolution requirement for this jam. Regardless, this game was awesome. The team did an amazing job. Gave me lots of Star Fox vibes :)

The text animation is so good! Really nice!

It kinda felt like I could just drive anywhere / into anything though

This game is insane... in an amazing way!  The cutscenes, the attention to detail.  Well done!

This was an absolute blast to play! The visuals are super impressive and the controls are incredibly fluid and intuitive. A+ entry :D

Really happy to hear this friend, thank you for taking the time and playing! :3

This game is amazing! Driving feels so good! Love it

Amai! This game is so cuquii, I'd like to give it merengue merengue

I don't have much to add; this is fantastic. It's both a cool sci-fi shooter and cool meta-speculative fiction.

I think the targeting square covers just a little bit too much of the view in front; I had a bit of trouble seeing past it. The four lines by themselves would probably suffice.

While I do appreciate the detail that pressing and unpressing the shoot button fires a shot, I feel like a held shoot control would be more comfortable in this, especially during that final boss!

Great work!

Well this is just phenomenal all around. I love that you can even see the pilot move his joysticks as you fly around, it's a great touch. Great job on this one!

This game very much feels to me like "what if the Game Boy had the SuperFX chip from Star Fox"

Very impressive, solid Game Boy themeing overall. I loved the narrative intro complete with grammar and spelling mistakes, and the Metal Gear-esque call sequence before the first stage.

I'm also REALLY impressed how legible the 3D environment was even at a very low native resolution. Really excellent!

YES! So happy someone finally talked in the comments about the dialogue jaja, really wanted it to feel bad enough to look like bad GB game translations of the time.

Thank you for playing <3

The presenation here is off the charts ooof. Visuals and music are honestly superb

This might just be a skill issue on my part, but I think the turrets shoot you a little too quickly. Along with the fact that it takes a good second or two before they really became visible ( atleast for me anyway  )

That and I keep dying in what I assume is the first level because I keep forgetting what the limits of the ship are for moving left and right

Still, most of my issues are probably just skill issues tbh. You guys have made a fantastic game here. One that I'll probably replay to get better at

Yeah screen resolution might be a bit tricky specially with how limited we wanted to do this graphically.

Really happy to hear that btw, and a real pleasure you find it so good. I liked your entry for this jam as well, your use of the parking lot on the theme was really well executed gameplay wise (and the many other jam games I played from you!).

Lastly I don't know when or if we are going to do it in the end still, but you might probably see this game finished and fully fleshed out one day ;)

Very cool and extremely polished game. The nature of the resolution/perspective can make it tough to tell whether or not you'll take damage sometimes, but the challenge still feels mostly fair. Overall looks and feels great.

Thank you friend! Glad you liked what we did for this jam B)

Btw I still need to play the entry you people made, at least from the screenshots it looks really sick, very well made pixels!

Great game, I'd love to make something like this! mixing 3d with the GB resolution looks so cool :)

Submitted(+2)

A lot of thought was put into the readability of levels, even at such low resolution the shapes were easy to identify. Wonderful game, the presentation is top notch and the gameplay is super tight.

Great game! It really did take me back to my childhood playing starfox infront of the TV on a Saturday morning. Gameplay was fun and challenging. I honestly didn't think anyone would be able to make 3d gameboy work but you have proven me completely wrong! Well done!
