Nice! Took me a second it realise what was going on but flying felt really nice, maybe went a little too fast for me but was fun!

Appreciated! Just wish I had more time to spend on it in the jam time.

I used GB Studio, is their default not the correct setting?

Thanks! Very glad you found it! :)

I do wonder if anyone made it in the first class carriage though.

Really nice art and I was hooked by the name alone.

You created a interesting garlic world with some nice features, would be very interested to see this expanded!

The text animation is so good! Really nice!

It kinda felt like I could just drive anywhere / into anything though

Really enjoyed this! not sure if it was the colour pallette, sprites or mechanics but had such a nice feel to it!

Really smooth sprites :O

Really enjoyed! Could be a really expansive world!

Little feedback - you can drag weapons and items off the screen.  I'd also work on the dice animation, maybe more of a buffering animation instead of the distracting dice.

Anyway, really nice!

Really nice and clean execution, fun mechanic too!

Love the artwork! Melville all the way.

Sorry to be that guy... there was a typo on the intro for Melville - He was a wealth guy (wealthy)

It would have been nice for the two shot jellyfish to register the first shot.

Overall really fun game, would be really nice to see it fleshed out and more enemy types and levels.

Interesting read! I haven't used Gadot yet, can you publish it as .gb roms?

Haha was there a bug? There was no intended dealer cheating

(1 edit)

Honestly, so fun! It seems a lot less engaging until it grabs you haha

Very curious how you did the tether mechanic!

Will probably be playing this past the jam! :D

*edit - just realised you replied to the tether mechanic below, my bad!

Thanks!

(If you speak to the lady she'll give you a free ticket to first class if you have no money)

Some really cool functionality in such a short time!

Being able to control the ship and the arm grabber

Loved the map style map selection! Palette and sprites are really impressive and clean, really easy on the eyes to play.

It may just be me but it felt a little laggy, particularly the ice world.

Hope you keep working on it!

Highscore 45... damn.. :(

Fun though!

Very nice soundtrack/SFX, almost a walk on piano vibe.

The shooting and arm grabbing mechanics are really satisfying!!

The intro and text instructions were a little hard to follow, little tweaks and it could be a really nice game.

The two perspectives was cool to see!

The in-browser game looks very different from the screenshots, is the download different?

I've been having a think about this, looking at the screenshots...

I think it's the way you've highlighted the edges (using the lighter grey-blue).

Again, maybe this is just in my eyes! I was really impressed with the game and feel bad for picking such a small element but I think feedback is valuable and a sign you enjoyed the game.

Really nice mechanic watering the plants to move up platforms! I got a little confused at first (it would be nice if they despawn / shrink so you can have another go).

Music was so calming! Really well done on that, didn't scream game boy but went with the theme very well!

Really enjoyed playing this.

Small thing but the transitions (especially the intro / start screen) were really nice!

That animation when he flips up onto a platform from below... Very cool.

Woah, I love this game so much!

the mechanic is super smooth! A little feedback would be the grab is a little quick for me with the pace of the game (just the 'neck' stretch).

Best game I've played so far!

I did eat 5/3 flies on the first level which I found a little strange but I guess there's just a minimum I need to progress.

Really hope you make more content for this (eating flies got a little monotonous)

Sorry! Combination of lack of time and burnt out meant that was the end. Thanks for playing!

Thanks! I hope to, I'm a little embarrassed, there's a lot I would have done differently but live and learn I guess

You won! Kinda.. Sorry it was cut short but you did win. Thanks for playing!

Not sure if others found the same problem but ctrl triggers 'Save bookmark' in Chrome.

Fun game tho!

Super satisfying breaking blocks! Really felt like you were exploring the levels with the changes.

One thing, the size of the player on the webpage, for me, is way(!) too big.

The intro with Kid Monkey chasing the enemies was so nostalgic. Perfect!

Really clean backgrounds, very Kirby-esque. Really engaging gameplay - just the right level of progression, meeting new enemies was always a pleasant surprise!

I only have one critique, the platform sprites seem a little blurry to me.

A lot of content (atleast in my eyes) for 10 days! Character art is really impressive. I agree with another comment the RNG of the seed direction was a little frustrating but loved the mechanic itself.

I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like this but I couldn't jump if a seed landed on my head.

I liked that I could ride the beetles(?) but without seeing the screenshot I was a little nervous to try!

Really enjoyable game, I feel like I gave a lot of feedback but it was just because I liked it!

Yeah, I ran out of time and just looped the boss to the beginning. Thanks for playing it all the way through tho!

I completely agree that the controls were VERY wonky, I'd really like to improve - do you have any specifics on what you found wonky?

Thanks! I'm glad you can see the intention, it was my (and our) first game. A lot of lessons learnt, hopefully I'll be back next year!

You pretty much made Sim city for the game boy!

Spent far too much time playing this, all solar then wind, renewable all the way!

Hope you expand on this!

Player speed was way too much for me.

Like the concept but got confused with it saying 'Collect the coins' in the art while the game is called collect the seeds - they seem to be coins in game too.

Was really intrigued by the idea / description. Love the logo by the way.

obviously it's limited by the 4 colours but would have been nice with some textures, it felt a little monotonous.

Nice for trying something different though!

I lost my spintop :(

(It went off screen)

Really smooth and enjoyable!

Inspiring character art / animations. I hesitate to say the background was a little too busy in places because the animated background was a really nice touch.

Corntastic! Love the water reflection pixel art!
