Absolutely, go ahead.

I love the art and the humer! Music is nice too! Overall its a solid game!

Sometimes it got really slow that made me lose the pace, but its not a big deal.

Good job!

Thanks for the feedback! I finally managed to solve the lag problem, so I will upgrade the game a lot in the next version!

Very clever take on the theme! Love the artwork too, especially the various cutscenes and the zoom-in on the character's face during dialogue.

"The sea" is a very good complement to "space".

That was cool! The art is very nice, and the mechanics are competently implemented, if a bit laggy.

He's so vengeful that he's bald, when he has a killer moustache! How tragic...

Great work!

Really fun interpretation of the theme!

Overall the art and characters are really cool and I love the concept. The controls for the actual gameplay felt laggy, which made it hard to navigate and get enough shots in on the jellyfish a lot of the time. Otherwise, this is a great entry. Awesome job!

I love the art style, and the music is damn good. The only issue I was having was with the constant slowdown interrupting the flow. But, it's simple and straightforward, and the pixel art brings a strong character to it. Once you can resolve that slowdown you'll have it just right! Nicely done!

the amazing looking art has definitely captivated me

Love the artwork! Melville all the way.

Sorry to be that guy... there was a typo on the intro for Melville - He was a wealth guy (wealthy)

It would have been nice for the two shot jellyfish to register the first shot.

Overall really fun game, would be really nice to see it fleshed out and more enemy types and levels.

This one has a very funny storyline, and that I like :)

But it kinda, lacks, in, like, alot of places.

The art is definitely good, considering the limitations. But often whenever I shot like 1 bullet, lag would hit, and it was kinda annoying. I'm going to assume that this is a memory issue and that the gameboy just can't update the values of the shots fast enough, but yeah...

And the music is... its definitely not terrible, but it kinda feels wayyy to empty, and it's like so short. Don't get me wrong, any music and sfx is better than none, but the wave and noise channels felt so underutilised it hurts. And the pulse channels are also really, really basic. Like is kinda just, basic melody, basic embellishment, repeat.

Still though, it's definitely a very good game. And the fact it's on a actual gameboy makes that even better!

:D

Ps, thanks for commenting on my game!

Thanks for the feedback!

The lag is definitely a problem, and Im still researching how to solve that. I dont really have any experience with music, so I bought a package from mr V that I liked. I definitely didnt notice that it has so many problems.

A very cool game. A solid entry. Is it me or the speed seems to be little unstable while moving?

Submitted(+1)

The presentation is amazing! Great pixel art, character designs with lots of personality, very dramatic opening scenes.

The gameplay is straightforward and well done, but I was sometimes wishing I could move a little faster. I think that could have offered the possibility of more challenges.

Missed opportunity for a pun: Didn't you mean to say... BOLD adventurers?

Developer(+1)

Thats GREAT! Thanks for the idea!

Im still trying to fix the gameplay! Theres this lag in gbstudio when theres too many elements on the scene!

Submitted(+1)

Yeah. It's an amazing piece of software, but... it has limits. (I also wish projectiles would collide with walls, sigh.)

Developer(+1)

Theres always a new barrier haha. But I do believe some people made the game rum very fast and smooth like above the sky. He used another engine, but he said it was possible to do in gb studio too. The game boy, at least, tanks it haha

Submitted(+1)

Absolutely awesome game! Love the music, graphics and the story, they all come together perfectly! One this is that it seems to lag a lot when I fire, or when the jellyfish/squid things are on screen. Love it though!

Developer(+1)

Thank you my friend!

Yes, I didnt manageto solve the lag of gbstudio yet! Theres a lot of other people having the same problem haha. Definitley something Im trying to fix!

Now that's a fantastic game. It looks great and sounds good. Gameplay is really fun - except it is lagging a bit whenever an enemy appears on the screen. That was frustrating but otherwise it's superb!

Best graphics I've seen so far!  Really enjoyed the game.  Music and sound were right on as well.  Everything was very polished.  If you find ways to reduce the slowdown issues in GB Studio let me know!  I was fighting that the whole time with my project.

This game cracked me up a few times. Art, audio, and menu design were all great. Well done!

This game has charm, and for the few minutes I played it, I was heavily vested in the overarching plot.  Seriously, the presentation is awesome, and I love the art too. I pray that someone else is able to cure Melville's baldness, for I was unable to do so myself.

Developer

Hahaha, thanks! Im glad you liked it!

Love the cutscene art, extremely expressive. And this is probably my favorite interpretation of the "space" theme so far, hahaha.

The artwork in this game is totally awesome. Also nice to see some GBStudio games in a sea of Unity.

Thank you!

The first thing I look for is if I can play the game on the gameboy, but most of them are just for web and too complex haha
