Great take on the theme! The gameplay of trying to balance having enough ingredients for each item on the menu, as well as certain recipes requiring some of the same materials, makes for a fun cerebral puzzle game. The charming graphics are a great addition too. Nicely done!

I love the chill vibes and atmosphere, until you have to make tough choices on what to stock. Lovely and intuitive game loop. This quite the tech achievement too, congrats!

I got pretty obsessed unlocking all the recipes. Found this game oddly addictive and loved the simplicity and retro feel of the design. Graphics are adorable and the music and sound effects are a nice touch.

Thanks for the feedback! <3

I felt that I was just guessing at the ratio of correct items, but the graphics and music fit the chill gameplay well. I played for a while!

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to play my game! The gameplay definitely needs some fine tuning. If I do continue working on this project I will definitely be implementing a "regular customers" kind of system where only a few orders are random.

Impressive that you made that just coding! Congratulations! Maybe you should put a way to win money, like, if the clients are satisfied they leave a tip! That would make adquiring the right ingredients very crucial, since they could also have different prices!

Thank you so much for your feedback. I was thinking of implementing something like this but ran out of time! I will hopefully keep working on this game later and implement a money system and also regular customers that always order the same thing to eliminate some of the pure chance.

Not even library used to make this? such an achievement, congratulations! Fun game

Super cute game! impressive you did not use an engine, I though the aliens were Bee's cause of the pallete haha :D

Fantastic! The art is cozy and warm. The soundtrack is brief, but sentimental. Although it is a bit gambley towards the inevitable end, the storage management gameplay is very satisfying and challenging. I like how the theme has been integrated and reintegrated.

Great work!

Thank you for your kind words and feedback! I wish I had more time to balance the difficulty and add in a couple more mechanics to make the game less chance dependant. Maybe after the rating period 😊

Help! An adorable alien left a bad Yelp review about not having a grill cheese sandwich. Now my business is ruined.

Cute 'space' management game. The art style is a delightful combo of cute and cozy.

I did have one minor browser issue with trying to use the arrow keys. Pressing up and down also scrolled the browser window. Any suggestions on ensuring that doesn't happen? (Chrome)

Fun game, hope you enjoyed putting it together :)

Developer

Thank you! It was a lot of fun to put together especially becaue I didn't use an engine and just pure javascript! The arrow key issue is my bad, I didn't take that into account because all my testing was done in a browser where the canvas was the only element and there was no scroll bars haha. I have now fixed that in the code but will only be able to apply the fix after the rating period. For me it was all about leaning this jam and I have learned a lot about javascript so next time I wont make the same mistakes!

Cute game! In the early stages I thought it was all luck, but the emergent strategy of the resource management was a pleasant surprise!

Developer(+1)

Trust me, it surprised us both! haha. Thanks for your feedback <3

I love resource management games so I feel I could play this for hours! I loved the calm and zen gameplay style and the music matches it very well. All other aspects of the game are very competent, super charming experience; plus, the interpretation of the theme is clever and the gameboy soul is on point! Congrats for this!

Developer

Thank you very much for your kind words 😊 I tried my best to make a "cozy" style of game.

The game straight up isn’t loading for me. Which is a pity, I was looking forward to playing this one…

Developer

That is tragic to hear :( I have had a few of my friend play it already so not quite sure what your issue is :( are there any errors in the javascript console?

Ahhh I only tested this in chrome. Must be a compatibility issues with my import of Json files on other browsers
