Tindret thanks for hanging out in the stream. Your game is really beautiful! I love the story and the character design. Super excited to see a D&D concept being done as well. Great work! The only thing for me gameplay-wise was it feeling a bit repetitive with dice rolls. Overall great work :D

Cool combat, writing and of course the stunning visuals.

Loved it ! I struggled a bit with the mechanics at the start but got the hang of it :) I think the snake fight was especially difficult if you don’t know how to handle it.

But in the end good job on, well, everything !

Probably the best game I've played so far for the jam! The art, music, and gameplay were all very fleshed out. The story was fun, too! There are a few tweaks I would make (fire die is not very useful, final boss music doesn't loop very well), but everything overall was very cohesive. Excellent job, team!

all in all, pretty solid jam game.  just wish the combat was a little less simple lol

(+2)

It's neat, short and funny. I would be happy to see a continuation after Game Jam!

Absolutely stunning art, both in terms of in-game animations and in the cutscenes. I loved character designs and the silly story in the background too :)

Gameplay reminded me a bit of FF games, though without specifically targeting, which is a good thing here, for simplicity sake.

Also a dog with a knife.

Art director here -- really appreciate your kind words on our work! We're all big fans of old school RPGs, so we appreciate the comparison. Thank you for playing!

Importantly... dog with a knife

That was awesome! One of my favourite games this far :o

Like, there's a whole story, characters, pretty visuals, sound design, fun mechanics... It's impressive to think it was made in 48h!

The concept itself is very close to a basic tabletop RPG game, but for me the creativity comes with what you did with it. (and from the doG WITH A KNIFE! D:)

Excellent submission, nothing to say! =D

This is awesome...

Probably one of the top games of the Jam

This game is really good, especially for the time frame. I really like the slay-the-spire inspiration!

The art is really nice and I liked the dialogues.

Submitted(+3)

Really good, the art looks great and polished. Great job in such a short time.

Submitted(+2)

Great game all! This is very polished for a 48 hour window.

Couldn't really work out a strategy. So was just clicking dice hoping for the best.

Super game though

The art is amazing! Very polished game

Incredible the amount of polished content you guys made within such a short time frame!

Love the character models and the jokes!

The visuals and character design really stood out. Kudos to the whole team, but particularly the art department. This visuals really scream professionally done.

For me, the weakest element was the dice rolling and battle system. It was too random and it didn't seem to take any specific strategy. I approached each battle essentially the same: ice, luck (if you have it) then whatever did the most damage.  Fire felt too weak to bother with. Shield didn't feel meaningful.

Still, the overall package is outstanding for 48hours. I may need to get a bigger team and some art people for my next Jam haha ;)

The art is amazing, I can't believe you did this in two days! Also the idea is great and I love the music. Only thing I missed was an explanation of how the energy meter affects your attacks, but I think I figured it out quite fast. ;-) Is Sam supposed to be a wild soul barbarian, since she has an axe and random superpowers?

Nice art style!

Blown away by the visuals and sound, amazing. The game itself, the battles drag on way too long, feel like they should have been shorter so there would be less of a delay between the story segments.

Really charming game with a nice sense of humour. The gameplay was surprisingly fun (which I wouldn't expect from a turn-based game made in a game jam) and the music really evoked a lot of those oldschool JRPG vibes that I love so much.
