Good sense of humor, good artwork, and fun system! My only gripe is that it didn't feel like it did enough with the die concept, but considering the short time frame, what you guys did is still impressive.

Insanely polish, with a huge team behind it, it definitely one of the best so far, very fun turn base rpg, with great visual and musics!!

At first I thought it was just a visual novel. I am like "okay at least the arts good its a 48 hour project I can see why they did this", THEN I get gameplay with the same style along with a real physics based dice system. Alot was done in such a short period of time!

The game looks and plays fabulous! This feels like it could have been made in a year, not a day.

Awesome sounds effects and presentation! It was pretty fun to play with some interesting choices to make as a player.

I think I experienced a bug on Lizzy's first battle where after beating the first snake all of my rolls were only 1. I also couldn't figure out what the 2 boxes below energy meant!

Developer

The two boxes are your draw and discard pile, and the number that says 1x or -20x is Luck which modifies your roll, and the Snake has the Ice Dice, so they lower the rolls you did. There was a bug where they infinitely stacked negatives debuffs, but I find it an exciting challenge.

Developer

that is not a bug, it's a feature, the snakes use ice dice which give a penalty to your roll by decreasing your luck. by the end of the snake round your luck is so low it's hard to roll anything higher than a 1. (we did this to add more stratagy) the two boxes beneath your energy are your draw deck and discard pile (they don't really effect game play too much) thanks so much for playing our game, glad you enjoyed it.

I'll say that I died at first and didn't really understand why at first. I was super glad that there was a checkpoint system and I could start the game back from right where I died. It has been a couple of days so maybe you have this but something that shows what my luck is at could be really useful! Like the Fire dice become the go to since you can roll multiple ones and deal more damage (I think)

So, so great! The art, the music, character design, the physical rolls, the dog with the knife...

Amazing! If this doesn't deserve to win, I don't know what does. Maybe it's just that I love both table top games and studying... Welp, you deserve 14/15!

I really loved this! Great story, beautiful art, and fun gameplay. Could totally see it as a full game

Really liked the art and characters! I felt like I could never tell what my dice roll was based on the visuals would be my only complaint.

Submitted(+2)

My only nitpick would be that the game felt short and I wanted to keep playing.
I played it through the end.
This is Exactly what i would expect from an Team of 11 talented Devs. A solid Game thats very well done with Incredible Art, Sound and Music and that does not waste your time in any capacity. This is an incredible entry 10/10

Very well polished and great art - I had assumed that they were stock characters at first as the quality was so high! The gameplay perhaps lacks depth, but I had fun and the story was nice.

Developer(+1)

nah, they aren't stock characters, we just had an amazing art team, thank you for playing our game, so glad you enjoyed it!

Developer(+1)

Art director here — that’s actually quite flattering, thank you! I’m glad you loved the character designs :)

The art, polish, writing, personality and characters REALLY shine here. I definitely chuckled quite a few times. The gameplay is very fun if not a little simple. There isn't a crazy amount of strategy involved and even the final boss went down in two turns however instead of making it boring it actually just lends to a feeling of being overpowered which actually serves to make the game more fun. When you double poison and frost an enemy then hit yourself with a shield you feel awesome. The art on the dice really help with that. Overall very fun.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing our game! I was the art director & helped out with the script so it means a whole lot to me that you enjoyed the characters. Couldn't have done it without my background, VFX & UI artists as well!!

Very polished game with good art and fun dialogue. I really enjoyed playing it.

Submitted(+3)

The art is really good, the game feels clean, and the dice rolls feel juicy. Great work.

Beautiful artwork, and a novel idea for the theme. Could see this being expanded into perhaps more of a deck-building game where you draft the different dice types - but it works wonderfully as a smaller game!

The art is really awesome!  Enjoyed the dnd rolling battle mechanics.  Gotta save Sam!

Great stuff! Good time start to finish. Really polished!

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to play!

Art is really nice and I like the setup for it. Main issues are not really being able to tell what the roll is, and just the reliance on randomness on the attacks. Cute looking game!

Submitted(+3)

Love the art, quite a complex game for a jam!
