Interesting game! I included it in my Open Jam 2018 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

The special victory is slightly bugged in this release unfortunately. I know how to fix it but I'll have to wait until after the vote to be fair. We wanted it to be a kind of secret ending players could discover if they wanted more of a challenge - if you survive and destroy all your enemies before the World Population reaches Critical (under 1 billion), the special blue Triumphant message should appear (with fresh pie). However, I must have mucked it up fixing another bug in the minutes before release and we didn't notice it in time. So it goes. For now, I guess you'll have to use your imagination. I am glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I didnt get the ga,e at first, all those pretty colours and the flishing triangles made me dishorientated, but after a while i kind of got the hang of it. I just wished there was some more to this game. Great work overall!
We wish there was more to it too! But four days is only so long and real life does exist so we had to cut quite a few of our initial ideas to get it out the door in time. FYI, there's a How-To-Play window accessible from the title screen, hit ESC to make it show. If I update it post-jam, I think it would be better if it were also accessible from the main game and a bit clearer, but I didn't think of that in time. I already knew how to play. :) If you've got specific ideas for what you think might be a good "more to the game," I'd love to hear what that might be.
Oh...i didnt realized it until now, yes, indeed there is a how to play screen in the title screen, my bad. Tho it doesnt say all the sceneraios, i had several different winning messages, and i didnt know what they ment until i keept getting them. Also sometimes i won without doing anything, perhaps a glitch of some sort?
You can maybe expand this game a bit more if you find something interesting to implement, i would love to see it. I cant think of something, but perhaps your brilliant minds can come up with something.
Amazingly done, pressing the button really feel like doing something meaningful here rather than a chore. My only nitpicking suggestion is to allow starting the game with keyboard as well, which is as fast as setting the default selection to start and allowing options switching with navigational keys. Otherwise, the level of polishing is over the top, I really want to give more feedback but I don't know what more to add to this game. Very well done!
I really like this game. I'll try to give a bit more feedback tomorrow but I just wanted to encourage you to add a web version. I think you will get much more plays if the threshold to play is as low as possible. Exporting to web with Godot should not take too much time and I think the organizers are okay with uploading the same version of a game just for a different plattform.
Nice that so many users played the game in the end! This is my personal favorite of the jam. Graphics and mood are stellar. The only real room for improvement I see is adding features to the gameplay. After winning 1~2 times I feel like there is no more place to improve my playstyle.
One thing I could imagine is some kind of defensive maneuver. When playing I never looked at my own city as I couldn't do anything about it anyway. When there would exist e.g. a shield that you could activate you could lookout for incoming missiles to detect against them.
This is not meant as critic but just as a pointer what could be added if you wanted to. For the short time it's an excellent game.
