How does your game fit the theme?
I made game about a mom and her baby trying to escape a dungeon filled with zombies. The mom has to carry her child throughout the dungeon in order to escape. However, she cannot attack or dash when she carries her baby. On the other hand, by hugging her child, she gets healed slowly from injuries.

Great job! I'm also quite new to game development, I have been learning for about 10 months, and you did way better than I did! I'm impressed you got both gameplay and story in there. And alos that it seems like you were able to plan a project of a good size since it feels like a completed game. Well done!

1, The zombies don't have animations.
2, The images are blurry.
3, There should be more sounds and polish.

Not much to say about the gameplay, but the fact that the game tells a coherent narrative from start to end and unterpins it (somewhat) with its mechanics is worth praising.
Very nice story telling which included the tutorial seamlessly. Love the concept of healing the mother in the presence of the child, very lovely! :D

Attacking felt a bit buggy, and it felt like I didn't really need to baby that much, felt more like a burden than something helpful. Like the idea though, really original!
Surprisingly good polish. Platforming felt good and the game mechanic using the mother and baby relationship was really clever. I think the zombies could do with some improvement however. They attack and move really fast sometimes and the hitbox is inconsistent. Pretty cool overall though.
Unique concept. I liked the tutorial and how carrying the baby has both a negative and positive effect on the mother. Really cool game.
Monologue in the background is good. As well the connection between mother and baby is an interesting view, which I, as a man, did not have. But your game made me think about it!

I was initially thinking about having a generic hero/man to save the baby. But I guess having a mother protect her baby will be easier to establish a relationship with minimum dialogue, as well as have a deeper meaning. It also fits better with the theme Joined Together. Aside from being physically joined, the theme may also pertain to the mother and the baby's bond/relationship.
A fun little game! I particularly liked the monologue in the background. The music is quite fitting too. The only thing that could use a little bit of work are the graphics for the dungeon. Well done!

I didn't try to leave the baby alone in the dungeon....um...I was just clearing the way....all the way to the end ofc i was gonna get the baby...pls dont call the cops
hahaha that's a pretty smart strategy! For that I won't call the cops on you ;D
@Ynovation its a good game, its just my suggestion but there is a delay in attack animation its feels a little unresponsive sometimes, but its a minor fix, overall good game.

great way of implementing the tutorial into the game itself, I would recommend having the player flip at the center of their sprite and not the front of it but still a fun game

Cool concept. At first I was like, why do I have to hold the button to hold the baby....and then 🤯. I'm literally HOLDING the Baby!!! haha! One note, sometimes the Zombies would float in the air making it impossible to get by them w/o taking damage. Made it a bit hard to complete. Overall, Good job!
